RANDOM DETECTIVE #1

Alright see you. And hey, we won’t

let this town go to hell.

Detective Rodgers goes to exit the strip club.

INT. DEADTIDE PARK- NIGHTTIME

Frank sits on a bench holding a Glock 9. Tears flair up in his eyes.

Frank gets up off the bench to walk to his apartment.

EXT. FRANKS CONDO - THE NEXT MORNING

Frank sits in his dusty recliner chair smoking a pack of camels

cigarettes, looking at the tv show 24 (crime series). While watching

the show, he dials Rodgers number.

FRANK:

Hey, Detective are you there?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Yea what’s going on?

FRANK:

Well been for a couple of

days and I’ve been thinking about

that case-

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Have you know?

FRANK:

Yea I have. I’ll do it.

Do what?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

FRANK:

Join the case

Detective Rodgers on the other end is ecstatic, pumping his fist up and

down and saying a silent prayer

DETECTIVE RODGERS

I am so glad Frank. The department

really needs you... Man, I really

need you. I miss being partners

again.

FRANK:

I wouldn’t say partners. I’m still

retired remember? And I am coming

back for this case and this case

only, got it.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Yea I got it. You have to go down

to the office and talk to

Lieutenant Smith to reassign get

your badge and a gun.

FRANK:

Slow down Detective. I’m no spring

chicken, I know how the god damn

system works. I spent 20 plus

years on the job before Hu happen

DETECTIVE RODGERS

I’m sorry, Frank. Just making sure

you know how things work these

days.

FRANK:

So have you heard anything about

that old man you was telling me

about a while back?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Nope, nothing on the old man.

Silence. But we do have a lead

with a stripper from tits and

beers.

FRANK:

Ok good tell me about it.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Well just like the old man, this

woman have missing limbs; her leg

was gone and one other thing I

can’t remember right now, but she

was in the trash can when a tip

called us.

FRANK:

That seem like Hu work but sloppy

he never just killed someone and

left them like that. Hu just

didn’t kill to kill he called his

killings art.
