INT. GRAVEYARD - CLOUDY NIGHT

FRANK, late 50s, rough beard, old white male, lays on his back with a Glock 9

in his left hand. He stagers getting up, and stumbles as he walks. He’s had

too much to drink.

EXT. DEADTIDE TOWN - DAYTIME

The town is empty, cold and eerie. The sun hasn’t shined in this for a long

while. Outsiders call it the Devils Land or the Devils Paradise.

INT. SUZYS COFFEE SHOP - MORNING

Retired Detective Frank and DETECTIVE RODGERS, sit across from each other drinking their fresh coffee.

FRANK:

(reading the newspaper)

So, what about that murder? DETECTIVE RODGERS

(Sipping his coffee)

I don’t know Frank, words going on

around town that it was premeditated.

For god sake who ever murdered that poor

old man was sick. They say that the

bastard ripped out his tongue and took

his kidney and liver.

(looking disturb)

And he was an old man around his 60s or

so.

FRANK:

(putting down his newspaper)

So what are the Detective’s trying to do

about it?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

I have no idea the boss man is supposed

to call me a little after this to check on the body

FRANK:

(getting up from the table)

Well if you need anything, I’m just one

call away. And let me know more about the case, I have a feeling the department is going to call me anyways.

EXT. FRANK LITTLE CONDO - LATER

The couch in Franks Condo has tape where old holes once were, and the walls

were scratched with paint.

Frank looks on his dresser and reads an old newspaper. The headline reads:

Local Detective Chases Gruesome Serial Killer.

As frank reads the paper, tears fill up his eyes and HE begins to boil.

FLASHBACK:

Frank with the serial killer in his clutches-

FLASHBACK ENDS:

Frank puts the newspaper down and goes to his couch and lays down. His eyes

remain open.

EXT. DEAD TIDE- LOCAL HOSPITAL – NIGHT

Detective Rodgers and a doctor stand over a body in the morgue.

Detective Rodgers looks over the dead body of an OLDER MAN. The Old Man’s skin is pale, his mouth is black because of his tongue being ripped out. There are stitches where his liver was taken.

Detective Rodgers looks at the body from a distance. Mouth covered, horrified.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

10 years of being part of Deadtide. I

haven’t yet to see something so vile.

This wasn’t just a murder this was a

f***ing experiment.

DOCTOR #1

Well Detective, this type of murder is

something that would shake up the

department.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

(looking annoyed)

You trying to make a joke or something- Come on doc, let me know what the details look like I want to hurry up and catch this sick f***!

DOCTOR #1

Looking at his hair, it’s been cut, he

has bald spots where it looks like the killer took samples. And his fingers nails have dirt and look badly cut-I can tell you for sure this old man put up a fight.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

So you say that he took some hair

samples-

(thinking to himself why he needs hair samples)

And his fingernails. That’s strange that he would take them. Sounds like he using his body parts for trophies.

DOCTOR #1

Could be, but I’m not a detective. I’m

just a doctor.

DETECTIVE RODGERS

(looking annoyed again)

No sh*t!

DOCTOR #1

But to me the way this body looks and

the damages that he has, it reminds me

of the bodies with missing body parts,

we had a couple of years ago

DETECTIVE RODGERS

(looks at the body and

thinks also)

I hope not. This town doesn’t need a

mass murder.

DOCTOR #1

I’m not saying it is. What I’m saying is

that, maybe it can be a suggestion

DETECTIVE RODGERS

(looking nervous and shocked)

The only person that came close to him a

long time ago was Frank and I doubt that

he wants to come out of retirement to

something that ruined him. But if it’s

the same person I’ll give him a call,

but I hope to god that it’s not,

INT. DETECTIVE RODGERS-POLICE CAR - MOMENTS LATER

Detective Rodger calls Frank and tell him you won’t believe what type of news I got today I know its late but I’m coming over its urgent

INT. DETECTIVE RODGERS-AT FRANKS CONDO - MOMENTS LATER

detective Rodgers pulls up at franks little condo but as he gets out the car, he hesitates to cause it was a pain in his gut that’s telling him that frank is not going to take this news lightly. detective Rodgers gets out the car and knocks on frank door

DETECTIVE RODGERS

(at franks door putting out

his cigarette )

How’s it going frank

FRANK:

So what’s all the commotion about

(frank lets Rodgers in)

DETECTIVE RODGERS

(sits down on franks couch)

So we think the serial killer you

was chasing decades back is the

same killer that killed that old

man

FRANK:

so why did you call me ?

DETECTIVE RODGERS

Cause if it’s the same person than

the department are going to need

your help. You the only man in

this country that know how to

chase this type of caliber

criminal.

FRANK:

No I can’t you don’t understand

that case 20 years ago broke me mentally and physically. That f***ing case was the reason I retired I just saw so many gruesome things and been through so many things chasing hu
