In August 2016, it was revealed that Fulop was pursuing legal action against Archie Comics for the unauthorized use of his characters and reprinting of his stories. He was inspired to do so by the infamous legal pursuits against Archie by fellow former writer Ken Penders. On 5 September 2017, however, Fulop lost the lawsuit against Archie.
