Day One

INT:
Fast Food Place

Jaxon wakes up, brushes his teeth, drives to work, and stands at the cash register

Jaxon

Hey welcome, how may I help you?

Jay

To be honest man I’m pretty bored

And since you work here I’m guessing you are as well.

So you wanna come to my apartment after this?

Jaxon

Wow, I mean, ya. I don’t have many friends

What would we do?

Jay

I have it all planned out, I just need someone to do it with

Jaxon

Perfect,do what with exactly?

INT:
Jays apartment

Jay

Let’s leap right into it, I have a portal to a whole

separate world, right here in my apartment

We get a longshot of a small door with fairly lit brighting

Jay

I know I sound crazy when I say you might be a changed

person from entering this door

,so I won’t say might. You WILL be a changed

person from entering this door.

Jaxon

I don’t know man, it seems risky.

Jay

You don’t have too of course, but I’m going in the closet.

Jaxon

Alright man

Jay walks in the door with half his body poking out

Jay

You sure, you don’t want in on this.

Jaxon

God, fine

Jay

Prepare to be a changed man

“Lovely Day” by Bill Withers plays

We get Jacksons pov of him entering the closet and suddenly everything becomes an alternate reality, exactly like the original apartment but cartoon like, a lot similar to yellow submarine or alice in wonderland. They go to open the door as it appears as if it’s breathing, when they leave their apartment they see the outside that’s full of stuff like crazy animals and moving shapes. They go to a 711 that’s littly brit and they just walk in and out carrying lots of stuff in a single shot. They start dancing and eating their food as the music gets louder. There is a single frame of them lying on the couch paralyzed. Then it goes back to them dancing and singing in this animated world at their apartment. The closet door then speaks.

Closet Door

Now

Jaxon

No, not yet, please

Closet Door

NOWWWW:

He suddenly wakes up with the song gone, in the same apartment, with Jay laying on the couch in the back. This time everything is a lot more dim/gray of a color then it was before.

Jaxon

Alright Jay, I’m heading home now. Cya tomorrow

Jay mumbles

He closes the door and leaves

Text:
Day 2

Jaxon wakes up,brushes his teeth, sits in his car, stands at the cashier, but this time he is looking at the clock and time seems to be going by super slowly. He then drives home and sits on his couch. He then grabs his keys and heads over to Jays. There is an overhead shot of him knocking on the door and Jay answers.

Jaxon

Hey man I’ve been waiting all day

Jay

For what exactly?

Jaxon

You know, the other world

Jay

Nah man, we can’t keep going there or

We won’t wanna come back

Jaxon

I didn’t want to come back

Jay

Then you're already too far in. Appreciate this world for what it is,

That world is a once in a while type visit.

Jaxon

Why?

Jay

So you don’t get carried away, which it seems like you already are.

Jaxon

Cmon, just for tonight

Jay

Fine, last time by yourself though

“Lovely Day” by A Bill Withers begins to play as he enters the small door again. We see more of these crazy visuals and it’s such a happy fun cartoon world. He is singing with animals, and running in dandelion fields. It’s a dream come true. Until suddenly the door speaks”

Closet Door

Now

Jaxon

No, no, nooo

Closet Door

NOOOOWWW:

Jaxon wakes up with the song coming to an abrupt stop and everything this time everything being black and white

Jaxon

Yo man, let me in one more time

Jay

No man

Jaxon

I said let me in one more time

There’s nothing else to do come on

He forces Jay out of the way and goes back into the closet door. The song turns on real loud and he is vibing once again.

TEXT:
10 hours later

The same song is playing and the camera angle starts to tilt, we can see Jay is looking a lot more ruff.

Jaxon

Alright man I’m ready to come back, this songs getting loud

Jay? Let me out.

He tries opening the door but it’s locked

Jaxon

LET ME OUT, PLEEAAASEE

Suddenly it cuts to him getting lifted up from doctors, he is dead. They leave the room and it zooms in on the open closet door which is full of narcotics.
