[The scene opens with Eggman and his Egg Pawns surrounding a group of civilians, including Tails. Sonic arrives just in time, swiftly destroying the Badniks as they prepare to attack, prompting cheers from the relieved civilians.]

Sonic:
Is everyone okay?

Tails:
We're safe, all thanks to you. But you really know how to cut it close, buddy.

Sonic:
Hey, close calls are my specialty. [Turns to Eggman] Alright, Eggman, let's settle this once and for all!

Dr. Eggman:
It's the end for you, Sonic. Witness the power of my ultimate creation!

[Sonic prepares to attack Eggman with his homing attack, but a mysterious figure blocks his path. Tails leads the civilians to safety while recognizing the figure as Shadow, who appears different.]

Sonic:
Shadow! You too? [Zavok appears] Zavok!? [followed by Metal Sonic] Metal!? [And then Chaos] Chaos!!

[A new figure with a red aura lands among Sonic's former foes. Sonic charges at him with a Boost, but the figure effortlessly dodges, surprising Sonic.]

Sonic:
Huh?

Tails:
Whoa! This guy's even faster than you, Sonic!

[The figure fires a laser at Sonic, who dodges. Sonic retaliates with a Homing Attack, but the figure swiftly counters, sending Sonic crashing into a building.]

Tails:
Hold on! Something's not right. I need to analyze this.

[As Sonic dodges another attack, Zavok charges at him. Sonic blocks and counterattacks, then faces the mysterious figure again. Metal Sonic approaches from the flank, but Sonic evades with a stomp move. He charges at the figure once more, only to miss as the figure dodges again. Chaos suddenly attacks, distracting Sonic.]

Sonic:
What are you? How are you--

[The figure roundhouse kicks Sonic, sending him tumbling. Eggman gloats.]

Eggman:
Excellent!

[Sonic gets up, turning to Tails.]

Sonic:
Tails, figure out what we're dealing with here!

Tails:
I'm on it, Sonic, but these readings are all over the place! It doesn't make sense!

[The figure attacks Sonic again, launching him into a building. Sonic struggles to get up as the figure continues the assault, followed by Shadow, Zavok, Chaos, and Metal Sonic.]

Sonic:
Tails, time's running out!

[The figure delivers a final blow, leaving Sonic defeated and unconscious. Tails rushes to his side.]

Tails:
SONIC!

[The scene fades as Sonic loses consciousness, the figure looming over him.]
