Sonic Colors: Rise of the Wisps -- Part 1

[After the title card displays, the setting is Sweet Mountain, one of the attractions for Dr. Eggman's Incredible Interstellar Amusement Park. Within a factory, an alarm goes off as Wisps trapped in capsules are shipped into the factory. Orbot and Cubot, Eggman's henchmen, pick up the capsules and connect them into a machine. A jade-colored Wisp looks as a White Wisp is whisked out of its capsule and jumps as its Hyper-go-on energy is being siphoned, scaring the jade Wisp. Suddenly, Orbot and Cubot bump into each other, dropping a few capsules and freeing some Wisps. One attempts to escape but is stopped cold as it is caught by Eggman. The doctor then grabs more Wisps and forces them into the drainer, activating it in the process.]

Tails:

(Imitating Dr. Eggman)

Ho! Ho-ho!

Sonic:

(chuckles)

Wow.

[The scene cuts to a small area in Sweet Mountain, where Tails is holding his Miles Electric, reading off the translator for the Wisps' language. Yacker, a White Wisp, stands next to Tails with the jade Wisp.]

Tails:

Excuse me?

Sonic:

Oh, sorry. I was just all, like, into the story, and then that Egg-head impression took me right out of it.

Tails:

Alright, then. Do you want to read Eggman's lines?

Sonic:

(acting modest)

What, no, no, no.... I mean, if you insist. [clears throat] I've been practicing, you know.

[The scene shifts back to the factory scenario, where Sonic takes the reins as Eggman.]

Sonic:

(imitating Eggman)

Ho, ho-ho-ho-ho! You see?? Once all these alien drainers is filled to the brim, I could have enough energy to power a whole army of my stupid machines!

Tails:

Uh...

Sonic:

(imitating Eggman)

Of course, I'd have more if you didn't drop so many capsules, but I guess that's the best I can expect from the GARBAGE I invent.

Tails:

Uh, Sonic...?

Sonic:

(imitating Eggman)

Sonic?! Where?!? Oh...! He's going to kick my butt!

[Eggman performs a scaredy pose. The scene shifts back to Sweet Mountain, where Sonic is doing the same pose, pretending to be Eggman.]

Tails:

Sonic, would you like to stop ad-libbing, please? Just read what the translator says.

Sonic:

Well, the direct translation was a little dry, okay? I'm just spicin' it up.

[Yacker takes back the translator from Sonic and gives it to Tails. the jade Wisp is then seen crying.]

Tails:

This poor Jade Wisp is telling us her tragic story. Let's be respectful.

Sonic:

[plops on the ground, bored]

Ugh, fine! Hey, Jade, feel free to throw in a joke, or a car chase, or something to keep it interesting.

[Tails sends a judgmental look at Sonic before returning his attention to Jade.]

Tails:

Sorry. Please continue.

[Jade begins speaking.]

Tails:

(reading translation)

"Eggman left right after that. He hopped into a cool car with flames on the side and drifted away, but then it exploded! Then, suddenly, a dinosaur appeared..."

Sonic:

(excited)

Whoa, really?! Wait, you're just making it more interesting for me, aren't you?

[Jade answers with a casual nod. Sonic clicks his tongue in an impressed manner. With Sonic finally listening, Jade continues.]

Tails:

(reading translation)

"But before he left, he put another robot in charge of the others. They called him... [gasps] Oh, no....

[In the factory scenario, an old adversary steps through the door--Metal Sonic!]

Orbot:

Metal Sonic, sir! What a--

Cubot:

(in Game Announcer's voice)

GOOD! GREAT! AWESOME!

Orbot:

...honor it is to have an--

Cubot:

OUTSTANDING!

Orbot:

...marvel of engineering such as yourse--

Cubot:

AMAZING!!!!!

Orbot:

[sighs] Sorry about him. His voice chip is on the fritz, you see.

Cubot:

ROCK IT!

Orbot:

Anyway, is there anything we could do to make your time here more pleasurable?

[Metal stays quiet.]

Orbot:

Oh, yes, of course! Our jobs. We just have to get these Wisps processed and shipped out across the planet. And Eggman asked very sternly that we don't do it like "bumbling imbeciles."

[Orbot picks up a few capsules.]

Orbot:

But, don't you worry, big bro. Can I call you "big bro"? We aren't bumbling at all. Are we, Cubot?

[Cubot goes by, carefully carrying a handful of capsules. Soon, a team of Wisps appear behind the factory's conveyor belt. They grab some of the capsules, including Jade, as they sneak past Metal Sonic. The team leader, a Blue Cube Wisp, reconvenes with its comrades as the Yellow and Pink Wisps use their powers to free the trapped Wisps. Jade falls out of hers as she meets...the Rebel Wisps! Jade excitedly shows off her powers as well by phasing into Cubot, causing him to become intangible and drop the capsules, with Jade exiting his body with a mischievous giggle.]

Orbot:

Honestly, what did I just say about bumbling?

[Jade sees the Rebels cheering for her. Jade waves at them but is too late to notice Metal Sonic staring her down. Once she sees the robot lookalike, she screams as she runs, avoiding an attempted grab. She panics as she runs toward the Rebels, though they warn her not to run to them, causing them to disperse! As Orbot and Cubot frantically try to recapture the Wisps, Metal catches most of the Rebels and puts them in a capsule. Jade ends up getting surrounded by Metal, until the Blue Cube leader uses his powers to ward off Metal and orders Jade to escape. Jade takes a look at the Cube Wisp, who urges her to keep going.]
