[Brandon is standing outside Hartlane High School, talking on the phone with his mother]

Brandon:
[irritated] Mom, I swear I'm fine. Yes, I'm at school. Yes, I'll let you know if anything happens.

[As Brandon ends the call, Slim Z walks up, visibly nervous]

Slim Z:
Yo, Brandon. Have you seen Emily?

Brandon:
No, man. Why?

Slim Z:
[whispering] I'm trying to surprise her with something special.

Brandon:
[skeptical] Right. Good luck with that, bro.

Scene 2:

[Slim Z walks down the hallway, looking for Emily. He finally spots her at her locker and approaches her]

Slim Z:
[nervously] Hey, Emily. What's up?

Emily:
[surprised] Oh, hey, Slim. Whatcha doin' here?

Slim Z:
[awkwardly] Uh, I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out some time? Maybe grab a burger or something?

Emily:
[firmly] Sorry, Slim. I don't think that's a good idea.

Slim Z:
[defeated] Yeah, figures.

[As Slim Z walks away, Brandon comes up behind him]

Brandon:
[chuckles] Told you, man.

Slim Z:
[annoyed] Shut up.

[Back in 2015, in a flash back scene. Young Lev, Spike, and Slim Z are sitting together, discussing the formation of the He-Man Woman-Haters Club]

Young Lev:
[enthusiastically] And I'll be the vice-president!

Young Spike:
[excited] Oh, oh! Can I be sergeant-at-arms?

Young Slim Z:
[reluctantly] Fine, fine. I'll be president.

[Cut to Slim Z writing a love note to young Emily, as he watches from afar. Young Brandon and young Jentzen come up to him]

Young Brandon:
[curious] Hey, Slim. Whatcha doin'?

Young Slim Z:
[sternly] None of your business! Now take this note and deliver it to Emily. And keep it under your hats, got it?

Young Jentzen:
[confused] But we're not wearing hats...

[Back in present time, Slim Z is texting Emily]

Slim Z:
[typing] Hey, Emily. I know things are weird between us, but I really miss talking to you. Can we give this another shot?

Emily:
[typing] Sorry, Slim. I just don't think it's a good idea.

[Slim Z looks at Brandon, pleadingly]

Brandon:
[sighs] Dude, you need to accept that it's over.

Slim Z:
[defeated] Yeah, I know.

[Back in 2015, young Emily is reading Slim Z's love note, with young Spanky and others looking on]

Young Emily:
[giggling] Oh, Slim. This is the sweetest thing I've ever read.

Young Slim Z:
[nervously] You like it?

Young Spanky:
[concerned] Wait a minute... What's in that note?

Young Emily:
[playfully] Sorry, Slim. I don't kiss and tell.

[Young lev bursts into the He-Man Woman-Haters Club clubhouse, accompanied by young Jentzen and young Brandon]

Young lev:
[angrily] Slim! You gotta explain this note to us right now!

Young Slim Z:
[nervously] Uh, what note?

Young Jentzen:
[pointing] That note you gave us to give to Emily!

Young Slim Z:
[panicking] Oh, crap...

[As young lev and the others prepare to beat Slim Z up, the scene fades to black]

Back in the present day, Slim Z decides to try and get the note back from Emily, only to find out that she never received it in the first place. Lev and Jentzen find Slim Z hiding and beat him up.

Emily:
“What’s going on?”

Lev:
“Do you know what Slim Z did back in 2015?”

Emily:
“No, what did he do?”

Lev proceeds to tell Emily what Slim Z did, while Slim Z just stands there, trying to explain himself.

Emily:
“Wow, Slim Z, you really did all that for me?”

Slim Z:
“Yeah, I just wanted to let you know how I felt.”

Emily smiles and kisses Slim Z on the cheek.

Emily:
“Well, you didn’t have to go through all that trouble, but I appreciate it.”

Slim Z smiles, happy that Emily finally noticed him.
