Interior of Chuck E. Cheese. Bader Zamalano, his older brother, Slim Z, and his little sister, Shaikha, are playing in the ball pit.

Bader:
"I can't believe we're spending our Saturday at Chuck E. Cheese. This place is a literal germ-fest."

Slim Z:
"Speak for yourself, bro. I'm having a blast."

Annie Baltic walks over to the group.

Annie:
"Hey, guys! Who's ready to go on a road trip to visit my mom?"

Bader:
"4 days in the car together? Are you serious?"

Shaikha starts crying in the ball pit.

Bader jumps in to save her but his hand gets stuck in a diaper.

Bader:
"It's a diaper! It's a diaper!"

Slim Z starts laughing and everyone records it on their phones.

Bader:
"I know we shouldn't have come here."

The scene turns into an animation sequence as Bader flails around with a diaper on his hand.

The next scene shows Annie, Caleb Reynolds, Slim Z and Shaikha cramped in the car while Bader is in the backseat.

On the screen appears "Slim Z Movies Presents."

The next pages show various shenanigans they encounter on their road trip, each ending with "Vlog Star Production."

The book closes, revealing that it's Bader's journal.

Bader shoves the book off his desk, and the title card appears.

Bader starts talking into the camera, his room drawn in notebook style.

Bader:
"If there's one thing I've learned from my years of being a kid, it's that you have zero control of your life. Take Annie, for example. She always wants me to do healthy things like read books and play outside. It's the worst."

CUT TO:

ANIMATION SEQUENCE:

Bader got out of his house he gets hit with a football and then thunder strikes and he runs back to his house screaming

BADER:
If she had her way we would be living like people before their computers and cell phones

BADER:
(VOICEOVER) Like human beings have evolved and now we need things like video games and Smart phones to survive

HUMAN BEINGS have evolved over the years. A WALKING FISH, A WALKING MONKEY, A WALKING CAVEMAN, A MATURE WALKING CAVEMAN, and a WALKING BUSINESSMAN are shown. BADER is walking using his phone. He falls into a MANHOLE and starts screaming.

CUT TO:

INT. BADER’S HOUSE - DAY

BADER is back in his room, talking to the camera.

BADER:
(into the camera)All she cares about is family time, but don’t get me wrong, I like my family and my babysitters and all, but I’m just not sure that we’re meant to live together. Maybe things will be better one day when we have our own places and visit each other on the holidays.

But right now this combination of people is just not working

CUT TO:

EXT. HIGHWAY - DAY

The kids are in the car, enjoying the road trip. ANNIE BALTIC (22) and CALEB REYNOLDS (23) are driving the car.

EVERLEIGH:
(excitedly)I can’t wait to see Annie’s mom’s house!

SLIM Z:
(sarcastically)Yeah, because annie’s mom’s house is so much fun.

BADER:
(smiling)I don’t mind. I’m just happy to be away from Annie’s healthy living for a while.

CUT TO:

INT. CAR - LATER

The kids are bored and restless. The scenery outside is the same, and they’re tired of being cooped up in the car.

SHAHIKHA:
(crying)I want to get out!

EVERLEIGH:
(to SHAHIKHA)Don’t worry, we’ll be there soon.

BADER:
(yawning)Are we there yet?

ANNIE(smiling)We have just started but, we just have to stop for gas.

The car pulls up to a gas station, and ANNIE gets out to pump gas.

CUT TO:

INT. GAS STATION - LATER

The kids are walking around the gas station, looking at snacks and candy.

CALEB JOHNSTON(excitedly)Guys, look at this candy!

SLIM Z(grinning)I don’t think we’re supposed to have that much sugar.

BADER(sighing)Annie would never let us eat that.

EVERLEIGH(pouting)I wish we could just have some fun.

ANNIE(calling from outside)Come on, kids. We need to get back on the road.

The kids groan and make their way back to the car.

CUT TO:

EXT. HIGHWAY - LATER

The car is driving along the highway, and the scenery starts to change. The trees are bigger, and the mountains loom in the distance.

BADER(excitedly)Hey, guys, look at the mountains!

EVERLEIGH(amazed)Wow, they’re huge!

ANNIE(smiling)We’re almost there. Just a little bit longer.

The kids are taken aback by the beauty of the scenery and talk amongst themselves excitedly..

Bader:
(Whispering to the camera) I’m on my way to visit annie’s mom for a four-day road trip with my family and friends. I’m not sure I can survive this long trip.

Slim Z:
Hey, Bader, quit talking to yourself.

Bader:
(Whispering to the camera) See what I mean?

Everleigh:
(Excitedly) I can’t wait to see Annie’s grandma’s farm. It’s going to be so much fun.

Caleb Johnston:
(Agreeing) Yeah, and we might even get to milk some cows too.

Bader:
(Rolling his eyes) Great.

Shaikha:
(From the backseat) I want ice cream!

Annie:
Sorry, Shaikha. No ice cream until after dinner.

Caleb Reynolds:
(Trying to keep the peace) How about we play a game to pass the time?

Slim Z:
(Skeptical) What kind of game?

Caleb Reynolds:
(Smiling) The license plate game.

Bader:
(Groaning) Oh, no.

Everleigh:
(Excitedly) I love that game!

Bader:
(Whispering to the camera) This is going to be a long trip.

FADE IN:

INT. CAR - LATER

Bader is staring out the window, lost in thought. Suddenly, he remembers something and gasps.
