We open in a dark, misty red forest where a run down cabin can be seen from within the distance.
CUT TO:
INT. RUN DOWN CABIN - SAME TIME
Suddenly, we get an interior shot of the cabin as we cut to the kitchen window, where the tune of "Hush little baby" can be heard from inside.
BACK TO:
EXT. DARK RED FOREST - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Back to the dark red forest where a mysterious, hooded figure can be seen appearing suddenly out of nowhere as it slowly creeps towards the cabin, making sure every step it takes is as slow as possible. As it approaches the cabin, they unsheathe their sword from their scabbard and spin it around as it prepares to kill whoever is inside that cabin.
While he is walking, a mysterious Raven which can be seen resting on a fence post beside him suddenly calls at the man, who turns around in alarm. He looks at the Raven which says nothing, realizing it was a false alarm.
As he turns towards the cabin, he is shocked to see that the entire building has disappeared into thin air. Immediately, large clouds of red mist begin rolling around him as the man realizes his mistake.
Unfortunately, it's too late as his sword suddenly flies right out of his hands and hovers in front of him as the man pauses for a few seconds before the sword suddenly flies right through his chest. We get a blurred shot of the man falling dead onto the ground while the sword flies into a random tree before the screen ultimately cuts to black.
MARVEL STUDIOS INTRO
EXT. GAP JUNCTION - MOMENTS LATER
The film begins inside a colorful abyss known as the gap junction, where a variant of Strange can be running alongside an unnamed teenage girl while on a massive platform as they are being chased by a demonic ribboned creature that is flying right towards them while smashing everything in it's path.
As they are escaping, the two of them leap into the air and onto the next platform while Strange turns around and shoots magical ice beams at the creature, momentarily stopping it in it's tracks. After that, they continue running as fast as they can.
UNNAMED GIRL:
Eso lo mato? (Did you kill it)
DEFENDER STRANGE
No, but THAT will.
He points to a revolving platform positioned a few miles from where they are and we see a magical McGuffin book positioned on the pedestal.
UNNAMED GIRL:
The book of Vishanti!
DEFENDER STRANGE
We can't let that thing take your power, get to the book.
UNNAMED GIRL:
How are we gonna get across?
DEFENDER STRANGE
Ready? JUMP!
Immediately, the two of them leap off the platform and begin sliding along the floating pillar in front of them as they hold their hands together in order to not lose contact.
Luckily, they both manage to land on another platform safe and sound without injury. As soon as they get up, they see that the book lies only 2 blocks in front of them, as they begin to move forward, they are suddenly stopped as the creature smashes out from the platform in front of them and immediately attacks Strange, impaling him with it's tentacle.
DEFENDER STRANGE
Ah!
As a result of this, Strange starts grunting in pain after being stabbed right through the kidney. Immediately, he fights back by using his magic to lift up the magical floating rocks and circle them around the monster, trapping it.
After that, he casts a magical force field around the creature, successfully subduing it. Strange tries his best to keep hold of the creature while trying to endure his injuries. Suddenly, Strange begins to realize that only one of them will be making it out of here alive.
DEFENDER STRANGE
Go.
UNNAMED GIRL:
What?
DEFENDER STRANGE
There's only one way you're making it out of here alive, go and get the book.
UNNAMED GIRL:
But you said, we'd do this together.
DEFENDER STRANGE
I know, but you have to believe me, the book of Vishanti is the only way. I can't get you to it, but YOU can. Please, this is the only way.
Slowly, the girl begins to realize what she must do and begins by grabbing onto the creatures tentacles and swinging along to the next platform. Meanwhile, the creature is finally able to break out of Strange's force fields and immediately reacts by stabbing him right through the chest before lifting him off the ground.
Meanwhile, the girl finally lands onto the revolving platform while Strange's nearly deceased corpse falls right behind her, she takes one last look at her fallen companion before racing towards the book.
Unfortunately, it appears she is too late as the creature grabs her by the right arm, spins her around and grabs her by the left arm before lifting her off the ground. Because of this, the girl get so frightened that she opens up a star shaped portal right behind her.
Conveniently, it appears the creature's tentacles are wrapped around the pillars, letting Strange use the last of his dying breath to conjure magical ice circles and firing them at its tentacles. As a result of this, both the girl and Strange end up falling right into the star shaped portal before we finally begin the film.
DISSOLVE TO:
INT. STRANGE'S BEDROOM, SANCTUM SANCTORUM - MORNING
Finally, we get a rotating shot as the screen dissolves right into Strange waking up in his bedroom half-naked with a full grown beard as he starts gasping in fear after having had a bad dream. The moment he wakes up, he looks around and realizes everything he just saw was part of a dream and sighs in relief.
A few seconds later, he looks over at the broken watch on his bedside table, reminding him of his life with Christine, imagining what they could've done had he not been so selfish.
CUT TO:
We cut to the bathroom mirror where Strange grabs a small pair of scissors as he slowly trims off all long parts of his beard before applying shaving cream to the bearded area and then shaving all of it with his razor while keeping a nicely trimmed goatee.
CUT TO:
After finally shaving his beard, Strange walks up to his bedroom mirror in his tuxedo while preparing to tie his tie. Deciding not to waste his time, Strange uses his magic to tie himself up instead and snaps his fingers.
INT. HALLWAY - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
After that, Strange makes his way through the hallway while putting on his coat and preparing for Christine's wedding.
CUT TO:
We get an exterior shot of the wedding chapel where multiple cars start entering the parking lot.
CUT TO:
INT. WEDDING CHAPEL - SAME TIME
Inside, Strange can be seen walking down the aisle before making his way onto one of the benches.
STRANGE:
Excuse me, may I?
One of the people sitting on the benches decides to make way for him as he shuffles along. As he sits, one of his former colleagues, Doctor Nicodemus West slides along and seats himself right next to Strange.
NICODEMUS WEST:
Doctor Strange.
STRANGE:
West.
NICODEMUS WEST:
Haven't seen you in a while.
STRANGE:
Yeah, I was a little preoccupied with being dust there for 5 years, so...
NICODEMUS WEST:
So were a lot of us. During those 5 years, thank you for asking, I lost both my cats and my brother (Womp Womp)
Strange rolls his eyes.
STRANGE:
I'm sorry. But they came back in the end, right?
NICODEMUS WEST:
Yes, but it doesn't feel the same anymore. I guess what keeps me up at night is wondering, did it have to happen that way? Was there any other path?
STRANGE:
No. No, I made the only play I had. If I used the time stone on Thanos, none of us would be here right now.
NICODEMUS WEST:
Of course.
Suddenly, the tune of "Here comes the bride" starts playing as Strange, along with everyone else, is forced to stand up as Christine makes her way through the aisle while accompanied by two flower girls throwing petals.
CUT TO:
INT. ROOFTOP BAR - MOMENTS LATER
Cut to moments later where Strange can be seen walking towards the bartender with an empty glass of wine in his hands. Suddenly, he stops after Christine rushes towards the bartender, requesting a refill.
CHRISTINE:
Glass of red, please.
Strange cuts in
STRANGE:
Oh, allow me, miss.
He uses his magic to fill Christine's empty cup with red wine, leaving her in awe.
CHRISTINE:
Ah.
STRANGE:
A little too on the nose?
CHRISTINE:
What? For you? At my wedding? Nah, I think it was perfect.
STRANGE:
Congratulations.
Christine thinks of a way to kill the conversation
CHRISTINE:
Oop- There's Charlie, I have to introduce you because he's kind of... It's embarrassing but he's a big fan, so-
As she walks away, Strange stops her by gently grabbing her by the arm.
STRANGE:
Hey, uh. Christine...
Frustrated, she turns around and waits to hear what he has to say
STRANGE:
Stuttering
I wish- I wish I'd been different, like- I just want you to know that I never stopped thinking about us, I had to make terrible sacrifices. But truly, I'm just glad that you're happy.
CHRISTINE:
Thanks. Are you?
STRANGE:
Lying
I am.
CHRISTINE:
Good, you deserve it.
Without another word, she walks away from the conversation and approaches her fiancee as the two of them begin dancing while Strange sips in sorrow, imagining his life with Christine had he not been so selfish.
EXT. BALCONY - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Before he can stop to envy, a loud crashing sound can be heard from outside. Immediately, Strange turns his head around and rushes towards the balcony as he sees multiple people running from across the street, it is unclear as to why they are running away but Strange isn't going to stand by and just let it happen.
He quickly finishes his drink before handing it to the waiter and without hesitation, he jumps off the balcony and swings his cloak from out of his pocket and it mounts right onto his neck. As he is falling, Strange uses his magic to transform his tuxedo into his magical tunic before sliding into battle.
Meanwhile, on the street, a middle aged woman can be seen escaping the scene while her baby is in a pram. While she is running, an abandoned car comes bouncing towards her. As she is about to be crushed, Strange saves her by opening a portal right in front of the car and teleporting it away from her.
Finally, he arrives at the scene and sees a giant tentacle monster smashing everything in its path. As he prepares to fight, he sees a young girl run straight into an abandoned bus and watches as the creature lifts it up with its tentacles.
Immediately, Strange reacts by using his magic to reality warp the bus into separating every single one of its parts, causing the creature to back away out of fear. Meanwhile, that same young girl can be seen dangling off the handrail. The creature tries to grab her with its tentacle but is stopped after Strange summons a magical saw blade and uses it to cut off the creature's arm.
Suddenly, the girl loses her grip on the handrail and immediately begins to fall towards the ground before Strange saves her at the last second by flying his cloak towards her, successfully catching her.
After that, the cloak flies the girl right to where Strange is standing as he uses his magic to put the bus back together, before dropping it onto the creature's head. Strange turns around and looks at the girl, preparing to confront her. Before he can say anything, she points towards the creature and tries to alert him.
UNNAMED GIRL:
Look out!
Strange turns around and sees the creature hurling the bus right at him. Immediately, Strange reacts by conjuring a giant saw blade with his magic, slicing the bus in half before it can hit any of them. After that, he turns around and looks at the girl who happens to look exactly like the girl he saw in his dream.
STRANGE:
Do I know you?
Unfortunately, Strange ends up losing his focus as the creature uses this to it's advantage by whacking him with it's tentacle, sending him flying right through the window of a jewelry store, knocking him out.
With Strange finally out of the way, the creature looks around and tries looking for the girl who just so happens to be standing right underneath its beak for if she runs away, she will be caught.
Eventually, the creature flips itself upside down and spots her hiding beneath it. After finally being caught, the girl runs as fast as she can as the creature flips itself back up while advancing towards her. As she turns across the corner, the creature tries its best to grab her with its tentacles but fails after Strange's cloak lifts her off the ground and immediately flies her to safety.
Frustrated, the creature picks up an abandoned motorcycle and hurls it right at the girl, making her lose grip of the cape and ends up bouncing onto the glass window of a big building before tumbling onto the ledge. As a result of this, Strange's cloak gets tangled into the motorcycle and ends up getting stuck after falling into a balcony.
With nothing in its way, the creature makes its way onto the very building the girl is trapped on. As it climbs the building, it suddenly gets stopped after he is pulled backwards by a magical knife rope and turns itself around before the camera pans over to the other side of the street, revealing the wielder to be none other than the sorcerer supreme, Wong, who appears to have come out from a portal.
Immediately, Wong pulls back the knife rope and rushes straight towards the creature as they prepare to battle it out. As he is running, the creature lashes its tentacles at him but Wong is able to dodge every single attack.
When the time is right, Wong hurls his rope dart towards the creature but misses as the creature intercepts it with its tentacle. Improvising, Wong conjures up another magical sword and begins running towards the creature while slicing off its tentacles one by one.
At the right moment, Wong hurls his rope towards the creature and misses once again as the creature catches it with its tentacles before yanking it towards itself and capturing Wong mid-air. Meanwhile, Strange is able to wake up from his coma and stands on top of a car right outside the jewelry store before conjuring a magical axe out of thin air and throwing it right at the creature's tentacle, cutting it off.
Immediately, Wong begins falling onto the ground but is able to save himself by doing an acrobat landing. After that, Strange walks towards Wong and greets him.
STRANGE:
You're welcome
WONG:
You know it's eccentric custom to bow in the presence of the Sorcerer Supreme.
As the creature makes it's way towards the building, Strange and Wong conjure gigantic magical chains.
STRANGE:
Yeah, I'm well aware of the customs.
Immediately, the two of them grapple onto the creature's tentacles and brace for impact as it starts climbing up the building.
STRANGE:
Hold it, Hold it, HOLD!
Ultimately, the two of them lose their balance and end up flying right into the glass windows but are able to keep holding on. As the creature slowly climbs up the building, it begins striking the very ledge that the girl is standing on. Luckily, she is saved at the last second after Strange's cloak is able to free itself and fly her off the ledge before dropping her onto a different building from right across.
In frustration, the creature turns around and whacks both of the magical chains with its tentacle, making both Strange and Wong lose balance. As they fall onto the ground, the creature captures Strange using it's tentacle while Wong falls right towards the ground but saves himself after opening a horizontal portal right beneath him as he ends up falling right towards an abandoned car, knocking himself out.
After being captured by the creature, Strange tries to break himself free but irs no use as the creature's grip is too strong.
Meanwhile, the people at the wedding watch in horror from atop the balcony as Strange ends up right in the creature's hands.
Luckily, Strange's cloak swoops in and saves the day by flying itself right towards the creature's eye, stunning it. As a result of this, the creature immediately loses focus and Strange is able to free both his hands from its grip.
While it is still stunned, Strange tries thinking of a way to defeat the creature for good. Suddenly, he sees a very pointy street lamp lying across the road and immediately opens a portal beneath it as it falls right into the air.
After that, Strange's cloak flies away from the creature and lifts the falling street lamp with it's raw strength before turning it flipping it towards the pointy side and flying it right toward the creature's eyeball, gouging it's eyes out. After that, it pulls the lamp out of the creature's eyelid as it ends up crashing onto the ground with the lamp stuck into his eye socket.
As a result of this, the creature ends up falling onto the ground, deceased, after losing its eye. As he falls, Strange is saved by his cloak which catches him mid-air as he flies right towards the very building the girl is standing on and guides her through a portal which leads right to the street.
EXT. CITY BLOCK - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
As the two of them walk through the portal, Wong is seen standing right there after finally having awoken from his coma and walks right towards Strange.
WONG:
Who's this?
STRANGE:
Yeah, I was gonna ask the same question-
Before he can continue, the girl tries to run away but is stopped after Strange grabs her by the arm.
STRANGE:
Hey, kid. What did that creature want with you?
WONG:
Where are your parents?.
STRANGE:
I'm gonna take her back to the sanct-
He tries opening a portal, but is shocked to realize his magic doesn't work. Immediately, he looks towards Wong who looks at him back.
STRANGE:
She took my slingie.
WONG:
She DID.
Meanwhile, the girl can be seen running across the other side of the street before hiding behind one of the buildings. As she turns around, she sees both Strange and Wong standing right in front of her, with Wong doing a gesture with his sling ring, ordering her to give it back.
STRANGE:
Sighs
I'm not gonna kill you, kid. I just bust my ass trying to save your life, remember?
Out of options, she willingly returns the sling ring.
STRANGE:
Giant monsters I can clearly handle, but what bothers me is that last night, you were in my dream.
UNNAMED GIRL:
What?
STRANGE:
Last night, I had a dream where I was being hunted down by an octopus and coincidentally, YOU were right there.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
That wasn't a dream.
Strange looks over at Wong, who looks at him back.
CUT TO:
We cut to a pizzeria where Strange, Wong and the unnamed girl are sitting at a table, having pizza.
UNNAMED GIRL:
How much experience do you guys have with the multiverse?
STRANGE:
We have experience with the multiverse, just recently there was an incident with Spider-Man-
UNNAMED GIRL:
Wait, what man?
STRANGE:
Spider-Man, he has the powers of a Spider.
WONG:
Hence the name.
UNNAMED GIRL:
Gross, does he look like a Spider?
STRANGE:
No, more like a man.
WONG:
Climbs walls, shoots webs.
UNNAMED GIRL:
Out of his...?
STRANGE:
Maybe, I don't know, probably.
Strange sees that the girl is down to her 4th slice of pizza, amazed at how she can eat that quick.
STRANGE:
You're down to your 4th slice, you're gonna get a stomach ache.
UNNAMED GIRL:
I'm from another dimension, why do you think my stomach works the same as yours?
STRANGE:
I don't. I don't even know if you're even FROM another universe which is why I'm still sitting here, waiting for you to enlighten us.
UNNAMED GIRL:
La neta, de los dos Doctor Strange que he conocido, tú no eres mi favorito. (I gotta say, out of the two Doctor Strange's I have met so far, you aren't my favourite)
STRANGE:
Which means?
She looks over at Wong, confused as to why he doesn't speak Spanish.
UNNAMED GIRL:
¿Este no habla español? (Does he not know how to speak Spanish)
WONG:
Yo ni siquiera sé si le gusta hablar inglés. (I don't even know if he knows how to speak English)
STRANGE:
Look, I had to leave a very nice wedding to save a smart-ass kid from being eaten by an octopus-
WONG:
Whose wedding?
STRANGE:
Christine's.
WONG:
You went?
UNNAMED GIRL:
Holy sh*t, you married Christine?
Suddenly, a middle aged Woman approaches them, asking to take a picture.
MIDDLE AGED WOMAN
Excuse me, do you mind?
Finally, Strange snaps.
STRANGE:
To the Woman
Yes I do.
STRANGE:
To the girl
No, I didn't.
STRANGE:
To Wong
Yes.
STRANGE:
You need to tell me what's going on, why was that thing trying to eat you?
UNNAMED GIRL:
That thing was trying to kidnap me.
STRANGE:
Same thing.
UNNAMED GIRL:
No, I mean. It's like they wanted to take my power for themselves.
STRANGE:
What power?
UNNAMED GIRL:
I can travel the multiverse.
STRANGE:
What?
WONG:
You can physically move from one universe to another?
STRANGE:
How?
UNNAMED GIRL:
That's the problem, I don't know how. Only happens when I'm like, really, really afraid.
STRANGE:
Okay, and did the other me know how to defeat this demon?
UNNAMED GIRL:
Well, you guys needed this magical book of pure good that gives a sorcerer whatever they need to defeat their enemy.
STRANGE:
The Book of Vishanti? It's not real, it's a fairytale, it doesn't exist.
WONG:
Actually, it does. I found out in the ancient book of Cagliostro.
STRANGE:
Unbelievable.
WONG:
Even though, it does exist. The book of Vishanti is said to be unreachable.
UNNAMED GIRL:
That's what we thought too. Except, we reached it.
Strange and Wong look at her in shock.
UNNAMED GIRL:
Then the creature caught up with us. I thought you'd save me, but you died.
STRANGE:
That was the fight in my dream?
UNNAMED GIRL:
It wasn't a dream.
Strange leans forward, desperate for an answer.
STRANGE:
Prove it.
EXT. ROOFTOP - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
We cut Strange lifting up a body bag, revealing Defender Strange's deceased corpse as the three of them are standing on a rooftop in New York.
STRANGE:
Under his breath
Oh god.
He looks over at Wong.
STRANGE:
This means... Dreams are windows into the lives of our multiversal selves?
UNNAMED GIRL:
That was HIS theory.
WONG:
So that recurring Nightmare where I'm running naked from a clown...?
UNNAMED GIRL:
Somewhere out there, it could actually be real.
Strange kneels down and feels Defender Strange's hair.
STRANGE:
Somewhere out there, I had a ponytail.
WONG:
There could be more creatures coming for her.
STRANGE:
If the power is dangerous enough in the hands of a kid, imagine if a real threat acquired it.
Wong takes a step forward.
WONG:
It occurs to me, young one. We don't know your name.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
America Chavez.
WONG:
Miss Chavez, will you come with us to Kamar-Taj? Please, we'll be safe there.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
How do you know if we're really gonna be safe? You know, that's the same thing Wong from HIS universe told me, he died too.
Both Strange and Wong stare at each other in silence, frightened at what she had just said. To break the tension, Wong looks over at Defender Strange's corpse and asks where they will put his body.
WONG:
What are we gonna do with HIM.
CUT TO:
We cut to an alleyway, where Strange can be seen using his magic to remove the concrete from the ground.
WONG:
You think that's gonna violate an ordinance?
STRANGE:
Eh, I've buried worse. No big deal.
Wong looks at him in confusion.
STRANGE:
What? I said it's no big deal.
He starts by lifting Defender Strange's corpse, still under the body bag and placing it right underneath the ground before covering it up, burying him.
WONG:
The creature that killed him, did it have the same markings as the octopus?
STRANGE:
Not markings, runes.
WONG:
This isn't sorcery.
STRANGE:
It's witchcraft.
WONG:
You know anyone who's faced such a thing
Immediately, Strange realizes who might be behind all this as he lets out a nervous expression.
STRANGE:
I think I might.
CUT TO:
EXT. ORCHARD - DAY
We cut to a bright, blooming orchard where we see none other than Wanda Maximoff using her spare time to cut tree branches.
STRANGE:
Off Camera
Gardening? Really?
Suddenly, Strange appears out of nowhere in his regular, Winter clothes.
WANDA:
As good as any.
She cuts a flower from the tree and hands it to Strange, who sniffs it.
STRANGE:
Smells...
WANDA:
Sweet?
Strange realizes that the flower Wanda has given him is all part of an illusion, but decides not to speak out.
STRANGE:
I was gonna say real.
WANDA:
Lying
It's all real, thanks. I've put the magic behind me.
STRANGE:
That I can see.
WANDA:
I knew sooner or later, you'd show up. Listen, I made mistakes, and people were hurt.
STRANGE:
But you put things right in the end and that was never in doubt. Besides, I'm not here to talk about Westview. Not ANY of that.
WANDA:
Then what are you here for?
STRANGE:
We need your help.
Suddenly, the two of them start walking together as Wanda picks up a wooden box and puts all the fallen branches inside it.
WANDA:
With what?
STRANGE:
What do you know about the multiverse?
WANDA:
The Multiverse? Vis, he had theories. He believed it was frightening, and dangerous.
STRANGE:
Well, I guess he was right about both. We found a girl who can somehow travel across it, but she's pursued.
WANDA:
Pursued by who?
STRANGE:
I don't know, some kind of demon. One that yearns to take her power for itself. We've taken her to Kamar-Taj and gotten our defenses, but we could use an Avenger.
WANDA:
There are other Avengers.
STRANGE:
Yeah, but given the choice between the archer with the mohawk and several bug themed crime fighters OR... One of THE most powerful Magic Wielders on the planet, it's an easy call, so to speak. Besides, we can you back on a lunchbox.
WANDA:
What if you brought America here?
STRANGE:
Here?
WANDA:
Yeah, I know what it's like to be on your own, hunted for abilities you've never wanted. I can protect her.
Suddenly, Strange stops walking after hearing Wanda say her name, conforming to himself that it was Wanda who is after America this whole time. Immediately, Wanda realizes that she has been caught and decides to come clean.
WANDA:
Mouthing
F***.
WANDA:
You never told me her name, did you?
STRANGE:
No. No, I did not.
WANDA:
You know, the hex was the easy part. The lying, not so much.
Finally, Wanda lifts up her hand and uses her magic to reveal to Strange that the orchard we saw was an illusion and that she had been living in a dark, red forest the entire time, the same one we saw at the start of the film, confirming it was her who killed the hooded man.
Suddenly, she conjures a magical copy of the Darkhold into thin air and shows it to Strange.
STRANGE:
The Darkhold?
WANDA:
You're familiar with the Darkhold?
STRANGE:
I know it's the book of the damned, and that it corrupts everyone and everything that it touches, I wonder what it's done to you.
WANDA:
Nothing, the Darkhold only showed me the truth. Everything I lost can be mine again.
STRANGE:
What do you want with America? What do you want with the multiverse?
WANDA:
Absolutely nothing, I'm going to leave this reality and go to one where I can be with my children.
STRANGE:
Wanda, your children aren't real, you created them using magic.
WANDA:
That's what every mother does.
STRANGE:
English, please.
Wanda takes a step forward.
WANDA:
If you knew, there was a universe, where you were happy, where you were with Christine, wouldn't you wanna go there?
STRANGE:
I AM happy.
WANDA:
I know better than most as to what self deception looks like.
STRANGE:
What you're doing is a flagrant violation of every natural law and if you take that child's power, she won't survive.
WANDA:
I don't relish hurting anyone, Stephen. But, she's not a child, she's a supernatural being, such raw power could wreak havoc on this, and many other worlds. I like to see, that her sacrifice, would be for the greater good.
STRANGE:
Well, you can kiss the lunchbox goodbye because that's the kind of justification our enemies use.
WANDA:
Is it the one you used? When you gave the time stone to Thanos?
STRANGE:
We were at war, and I did what I had to do, to protect our world. I think about it every night, wondering if what I did was right. But now, I know. It was the only way.
WANDA:
You break the rules, and you become a hero. I do it and I become the enemy. It just doesn't seem fair.
STRANGE:
So, what happens now?
WANDA:
Return to Kamar-Taj, and prepare to hand over America Chavez by sundown, peacefully. After that, you'll never hear from me again.
Finally, she walks away from the conversation and the Darkhold disintegrates into thin air.
STRANGE:
And, if we don't?
She turns around, threatening him.
WANDA:
Then it won't be Wanda who comes for her, it will be the Scarlet Witch.
She walks away and disappears into thin air as Strange is left in shock.
STRANGE:
Under his breath
Wow.
CUT TO:
We cut to a landscape shot of the Nepali city of Kathmandu where the sky quickly goes from Day to Sunset. Finally we cut to the inside of Kamar-Taj, where Wong is seen boiling tea from the kettle, presumably for himself while America stands alongside the sorcerers. As the tea boils, a portal opens up from behind them with Strange walking right out of it.
Wong immediately turns around and hears what he has to say.
STRANGE:
I think I knew who was behind this attack, but you're not gonna like who it is. It's Wanda, she has the Darkhold and the Darkhold has her.
WONG:
The Scarlet Witch?
Wong looks towards the sorcerers and alerts them.
WONG:
The Scarlet Witch, is a being of unfathomable magic. She can rewrite reality as she chooses, and is prophesised to either rule or annihilate the cosmos.
STRANGE:
She took over an entire town with just her magic, if she gets America's power, we have no idea what she might do next.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
So, the person you went to ask for help and told exactly where I am is the person that's trying to kill me?
STRANGE:
Clicks Tongue
Yeah.
WONG:
Suspend teaching at once and arm the students, Kamar-Taj must now become a fortress.
Immediately, the gong rings and every single one of the sorcerers grab a weapon and slowly make their way to the courtyard.
EXT. KAMAR TAJ COURTYARD - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
While the sorcerers position themselves in the courtyard, multiple bowmen make their way onto the roof, ready to strike at any given moment. Back at the courtyard, two portals open and out come both the Hong Kong and London Masters along with their fellow men.
Suddenly, a green looking Menotaur can be seen standing among the sorcerers.
RINTRAH:
Wow, those are the masters of the Hong Kong and London Sanctum.
Both Wong and Strange approach the two masters accompanied by their men.
HONG KONG MASTER

WONG:

LONDON MASTER:
Whatever the Sorcerer Supreme asks of us, shall be done.
The two sorcerers bow down to Wong as he looks over at Strange.
WONG:
It's ancient custom.
Shortly, every single one of the armed Sorcerers make their way to the courtyard as Wong and Strange follow. As they enter, a large cloud of smoke appears right over Kamar-Taj as a way of intimidation as the sorcerers watch in fear.
Finally, Wanda shows herself by popping out of the smoke, wearing her Scarlet Witch outfit. Wong looks over at Strange.
WONG:
Choose your words wisely, the fate of the Multiverse may depend on it.
STRANGE:
Got it. So, no pressure then.
Shortly, Strange flies up to Wanda who is hovering the air, preparing to confront him.
WANDA:
All this for a child you met yesterday.
STRANGE:
Wanda, you are way in over your head. You've had to make terrible sacrifices.
WANDA:
I blew a hole through the head of the man I loved, and it meant nothing. Do not speak to me of Sacrifice, Stephen Strange.
WANDA:
If you give me what I want, I can send you to a world where you can be with Christine.
Offended, Strange immediately gets serious and threatens her.
STRANGE:
The full might of Kamar-Taj stands against you.
WONG:
DEFENSIVE POSITIONS, NOW!
Immediately, the sorcerers begin conjuring their shields in preparation for an attack.
WANDA:
You have no idea just how reasonable I've been.
STRANGE:
Yeah, book of the damned, calling yourself a witch, summoning creatures to kidnap a kid, I don't exactly call that being reasonable.
WANDA:
Sending those creatures after her instead of myself was mercy. And in spite of all your hypocrisies and insults, I have safely begged you to get out of my way. You have exhausted my patience, but I hope you understand, that even now, what's about to happen... This is me being reasonable.
Suddenly, Wanda fires her chaos beam at Strange who doesn't even flinch as there is a magic shield barrier protecting him. After that, he flies down next to Wong.
STRANGE:
Nailed it.
Furious, Wanda starts flying around Kamar-Taj and starts firing in every direction.
WONG:
REINFORCE THE SHIELD!
Unfortunately, all her attacks are intercepted by the magical dome surrounding Kamar-Taj. As a result of this, she is forced to look for another way to penetrate Kamar-Taj's defenses. She starts by looking through the minds of the sorcerers, which Strange immediately notices.
STRANGE:
She's trying to get in their heads.
WONG:
SORCERERS, FORTIFY YOUR MINDS!
Wanda tries her best to mind control the sorcerers into submission but it is no use as their minds are all shielded. Luckily, she sees one of the sorcerers who is distracted and immediately makes her move by breaking into his mind and spawning a fake illusion of herself right behind him before doing weird hand gestures around his head.
As a result of this, the distracted sorcerer begins seeing visions of death and destruction. Immediately, he runs away from the battlefield and causes the rest of the sorcerers around him to lose focus, causing the shield to become unstable and tearing a hole right through it.
Immediately, Wanda uses this to her advantage by firing up a powerful blast of chaos magic through the hole, presumably killing every sorcerer that is standing there. Most of the rubble flies towards Strange who blocks it with his shield.
WONG:
The shield is down!
With the shield finally penetrated, Wanda immediately flies towards the courtyard but is stopped after the sorcerers load up a magical fire cannon and blast it right towards her, Wanda tries to shield herself from the attack at the very last second but it's no use as she gets knocked back anyway.
WONG:
Fire at will!
Immediately, the bowmen on the roof begin firing at Wanda, who dodges all of their attacks by intercepting them with her magic and then flying the arrows right into their chests killing them. Meanwhile, on one of the towers, multiple sorcerers can be seen loading a fire cannon once again.
This time, Wanda fights back by lifting the cannon with her telekinesis and then flying it right towards the same cannon that knocked her back, creating a minimal explosion that either kills or knocks out the sorcerers that fired at her.
STRANGE:
FALL BACK! WONG, GET HER OUT OF HERE!
Immediately, Strange commands the remaining sorcerers to fall back and make their way into Kamar-Taj as Wong does the same. Meanwhile, Wanda starts to go on a rampage by firing in every direction, destroying everything in her path.
CUT TO:
We cut to the inside of Kamar-Taj where America Chavez is accompanied by a few sorcerers as she begins to hear the sounds of explosions and crashing coming from outside.
BACK TO:
EXT. KAMAR TAJ COURTYARD - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Immediately, we cut back to the Kamar-Taj courtyard. After successfully having defeated the forces of Kamar-Taj, Wanda makes her way onto the ground and creates a powerful shock-wave just by landing. As she walks towards the entrance of Kamar-Taj, she sees a fallen sorcerer lying on the ground who had lost both of his legs in the attack, yelling in agony.
Out of spite, she decides to ignore him and keep walking. As she gets closer to the entrance, she closes both her eyes and tries using her mind control abilities to find where Chavez is hiding.
Back in Kamar-Taj, Chavez ends up hearing whispers coming from the walls before we cut back to the courtyard once again.
EXT. KAMAR TAJ COURTYARD - SAME TIME
Finally, Wanda opens her eyes and sees Strange standing right in front of her.
STRANGE:
You want the girl? You're gonna have to go through me.
Wanda accepts his challenge.
WANDA:
Fine.
She walks up towards him, as soon as her feet touch the entrance, the tiles beneath her begin rotating.
INT. MIRROR DIMENSION - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Immediately, she begins to realize the trap she has fallen into as Strange disappears into thin air right in front of her. She paces forward and watches as everything around her begins rotating before turning into cracked reflections.
For a brief few seconds, Wanda ends up standing there before multiple spikes of glass poke out towards her. She holds her out hands in front in case of an attack but nothing happens. She takes a few heavy breaths before firing at the glass with her chaos beam, only for it to ricochet off the mirrors and bounce around her instead.
Immediately, Wanda shields herself with her hands as the beam eventually stops bouncing and disintegrates into thin air. Ultimately, Wanda is able to find a way to escape from the mirror dimension. She dips her hand into the glass and warps it into liquid using her magic.
CUT TO:
Finally, we cut to Kamar-Taj where Wong can be seen entering through the back door while Strange enters via sling ring. Immediately, America races towards Wong and confronts him.
STRANGE:
We gotta get you out of here, now.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Wong, what happened?
WONG:
Kamar-Taj has fallen.
Strange tries opening up a portal to the New York sanctum but is surprised to see his sling ring is not working before it disappears into thin air while leaving a red aura. Suddenly, the back door closes on its own, followed by the door on the right. Immediately, a long howl of wind can be heard coming from across the room as the three of them look around.
Suddenly, one of the sorcerers in the room gets pulled into the ground by Wanda, followed by the master. Immediately, Strange realizes what Wanda is doing and immediately alerts the others.
STRANGE:
Reflections. She's using the reflections, cover them!
Immediately, both Strange, Chavez and Wong race across the room to find whatever pieces of cloth they could find in order to cover up any possible reflections in the room. As Chavez goes to cover a small puddle on the floor, she sees another right next to it. As she looks into it, Wanda's eyeball pops right out from under the puddle.
Immediately, Chavez reacts by splashing out the puddle with her hands before crawling backwards. Unfortunately, it seems it is too late as Wanda is able to crawl out of the Golden Gong that is behind her as she stands up and automatically heals all her cuts and bruises using her magic.
Slowly, she walks towards the three of them and prepares to confront them once more.
WANDA:
You gave all those lives just to keep my from seeing my children.
STRANGE:
You did that all by yourself, you know exactly what you did. Besides, your children aren't real, they never existed.
WANDA:
Oh, but they do. In almost every other universe, I know they do because I dream of them every night.
She conjures a physical copy of the Darkhold once more, summoning strands of red, holographic orbs that show us her life with her children in alternate universes.
WANDA:
Every night, the same dream. And every morning, the same...
Shortly, Wanda closes the book with her magic, killing all the red strands and orbs.
WANDA:
Tearful
Nightmare.
STRANGE:
What happens if you DO reach them? What happens to the other you? What happens to THEIR mother?
Wanda looks at Strange as the two of them engage in a stare-down. Deep down, she knows that he is right but unfortunately, her ego is way too big for her to admit it. Finally, the two of them engage in battle as Strange summons 4 magical hydra snakes out of his wrists and they fly straight towards Wanda who deflects the attacks by blasting at the snake heads, disintegrating them into thin air.
She tries her best to block the attacks but it's no use as she gets knocked back towards the wall by one of the snakes. As the snakes fly towards her, she preserves enough power to hold off all 4 of them with her magic.
On the left, she sees a statue holding up a sword and uses her telekinesis to fly the sword out of the statues hands and uses it to cut off the snakes' heads one by one. After that, she immediately flies the sword towards Strange who intercepts it at the last second with his shield.
After that, she lifts Strange with her telekinesis and throws hima across the room as he ends up bouncing off the pillar and tumbling across the floor.
With Strange now out of the way, Wanda uses her magic to lift Chavez off the ground. Immediately, Wong begins conjuring magical runes and hurling them at Wanda who reacts by converting them into dark magic and then flying them towards him, knocking him out.
With both Strange AND Wong out of her way, she can finally begin her quest of absorbing America's power without any trouble. While she does that, another star shaped portal opens up right behind Chavez. Meanwhile, Strange sees what's happening and tries preventing her from falling into the portal by moving her out of the way.
Unfortunately, he fails after Wanda blasts right at him, flicking him towards the other side of the room, causing his cloak to catch fire as America is still in the air. Out of options, Strange realizes he has no other way of saving Chavez other than facing Wanda head on.
He lifts himself and races right towards Wanda before punching her right in the face, sending her into the mirror dimension as a mirror portal cracks open behind her.
INT. MIRROR DIMENSION - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
With both of them now in the mirror dimension, Strange acts first while Wanda is still stunned by flying backwards and creating a mirror dimension portal with his magic and pushing it right towards Wanda, which she deflects by firing at it with her chaos beam, shattering it.
Strange tries again by creating another mirror dimension shield and pushing it towards Wanda, only for her to shatter once more with her chaos beam. Out of options, Strange tries another way by attempting to create a pocket dimension in order to trap Wanda but is interrupted after she flies right towards him and kicks him right in the Abdomen, sending him crashing through another mirror dimension portal.
INT/EXT. VARIOUS DIMENSIONS - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Conveniently, the same mirror dimension portal happened to be right in front of America's star shaped portal, creating a splinter in reality as the two of them are sent flying through various dimensions with each one being far different than the one before with one being a world where everything is animated, another being paint, and another being Lego.
As they are falling, they grab onto each other in order to not lose contact.
EXT. ROOFTOP - ALTERNATE UNIVERSE - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
After falling through different dimensions for at least a minute, they finally stop after falling into another universe and fall onto the ground. As soon as they land, they get up while breathing as heavily as they can.
STRANGE:
Panting
You okay?
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
You saved me.
STRANGE:
Yeah, I hope so.
Finally, the two of them stand up and find themselves on a rooftop in an alternate universe, one with an awful lot more greenery.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Surprised you didn't puke.
STRANGE:
Yeah? Well, it's not my first weird trip, kid. So, this is New York in the Multiverse? Gotta say, I didn't expect much, but I'm impressed.
Suddenly, Strange's cloak starts slapping him right in the face for no reason at all.
STRANGE:
Ugh, cut it out.
He turns around and examines the cloak, surprised to see a hole burnt right through it.
STRANGE:
Yeah, you got pretty dinged up.
He puts the cloak back on.
STRANGE:
We'll get you fixed.
He turns around and looks at America.
STRANGE:
Alright, America. You've gotta open a portal that gets us back there RIGHT NOW.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
I don't know how.
STRANGE:
You just did.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Yeah, but not on purpose.
STRANGE:
Wong is back there, alone, with Wanda and I'm the only hope he has.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Well, I can't control my powers-
STRANGE:
Scolding
You must be able to control it somehow, even I could control my-
As he is talking, he brings up past memories of Kamar-Taj, remembering that it took him almost a year to master his powers, realizing that he isn't any better than her.
STRANGE:
Sorry, kid. You know, even after all we've been through together, somehow I always forget that you're just a kid, and we all make mistakes, it's part of what makes us human.
Strange sighs.
STRANGE:
What about this universe's version of you? Maybe can she can control her powers.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
This universe doesn't have me.
STRANGE:
What?
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
None of them do.
STRANGE:
Well, how do you know that.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Because I've looked, and because I'm from another galaxy.
Strange looks in disappointment.
STRANGE:
It's okay kid, even if you COULD get me back there, I'd still have no way of fighting Wanda.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
What about the book of Vishanti?
STRANGE:
What ABOUT the book of Vishanti?
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Other you thought it stop whoever was after me.
STRANGE:
Yeah, well. Lucky for him, he's not here anymore, is he? So, unless there's another other version of me who's still alive out there, then-
Suddenly, Strange pauses as he realizes he's come up with a brilliant idea and lets out a mile.
CUT TO:
EXT. CITY BLOCK - ALTERNATE UNIVERSE - MOMENTS LATER
We cut to the street where Strange and Chavez are seen walking out of an alleyway before walking along the footpath. As they reach the zebra crossing, Strange sees the green light and assumes its safe to cross the road but little did he know that the green light actually means stop and that mistake almost cost him his life if not for America who pulled him back at the last second as the car almost hit him.
STRANGE:
They go on red?
Strange is surprised to see that in this universe, green means stop and red means go.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Number one rule of Multiversal travel, you don't know anything.
STRANGE:
Right.
Finally, the traffic light turns red.
STRANGE:
It's red.
Finally, they are allowed to cross the road without danger.
STRANGE:
So, what's rule number two?
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
There IS no "Rule Number Two", that's practically it.
As they are walking down the street, Chavez sees a street vendor standing right across selling Pizza Balls while in a Pizza outfit. Chavez desperately wants a taste but unfortunately, she has no money so she finds a way to steal the food without paying.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Hey, why don't you go talk to that pizza guy over there, maybe HE can find the Sanctum.
Oblivious, Strange walks up to the man and asks for direction.
STRANGE:
Excuse me. Mr, uh...
PIZZA POPPA:
The name's PIZZA POPPA.
STRANGE:
Alright, Mr Pizza Poppa, you know where we can find the sanctum?
PIZZA POPPA:
Yeah, it's about a few blocks that way, then turn right on bleecker.
STRANGE:
Alright, thanks.
He walks away and resumes his quest to find Strange. As he was talking, it seems Chavez had stolen a bowl of pizza balls from the table and tried to walk away unnoticed before she was spotted.
PIZZA POPPA:
Hey, you gotta pay for them.
Immediately, both Strange and Chavez turn around as she realizes she's been caught.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Under her breath
Sh*t.
PIZZA POPPA:
Pizza Poppa's gotta get paid.
STRANGE:
Alright, Pizza Poppa, relax, she's just a kid and she was hungry.
PIZZA POPPA:
Relax yourself there, Doctor Strange. Where'd you get this cape from, anyway?
He grabs his cloak and starts feeling it.
PIZZA POPPA:
Ah, that feels authentic.
STRANGE:
It's not a cape, it's a cloak and I suggest you let go before-
PIZZA POPPA:
You took this whole suit from the Doctor Strange museum? Didn't ya?
STRANGE:
PIZZA POPPA:
So, you're a taker, huh? Why don't you take some mustard!
Immediately, the man grabs a bottle of mustard lying on the table and squirts it towards Strange who stops it with his magic and turns it around, making it squirt on him instead. After that, he casts a spell that makes him punch himself repeatedly in the face for a few hours. Strange walks away while Chavez looks in horror.
STRANGE:
It's not permanent, just take one and put it back.
Immediately, Chavez returns the pizza balls by placing them on the table before she catches up to Strange.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
So, you're gonna make it stop in a few minutes?
STRANGE:
A few hours.
America looks at him in disgust.
STRANGE:
What? I told you, it's not permanent, now come on.
CUT TO:
EXT. CITY CENTRE - MOMENTS LATER
We cut to the city centre where Strange and Chavez are still walking along the footpath, searching for the sanctum.
STRANGE:
Those universes we went through, were we paint in one of them?
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Yeah, you would not wanna get stuck in there, it's really difficult to get out.
STRANGE:
How many universes have you been through?
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
72? 73, counting this one.
STRANGE:
Wow, how did you even survive that long?
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Luck, mainly. Just pure blind luck.
As they are walking, Strange sees this universe's Wanda in her normal clothes, standing on top of the building across from them and immediately decides to make a run for it. It is unclear as to how she got here, all we know is that Strange isn't going to waste a second trying to find out.
STRANGE:
She's here. Go, go, go! SHE'S HERE!
Immediately, Strange and Chavez begin running along the footpath before turning right towards the alley. The moment they enter the alley, the stop after Wanda lands right in front of them, preparing to face Strange head on once more. Immediately, Chavez races towards the trash can and hides behind it as Wanda and Strange battle it out once more.
The fight begins with Wanda firing her chaos beams while Strange deflect them with his shields, as the fight goes on, the camera zooms out and dissolves into a red, holographic orb.
DISSOLVE TO:
INT/EXT. KAMAR TAJ - SAME TIME
Finally, we zoom out even further to reveal even more red orbs positioned in strands and spinning around Wanda who can be seen meditating above the ground of Kamar-Taj while the Darkhold hovers right next to her.
Right in front of her, Wong can be seen kneeling on the ground with both his hands tied up with Wanda's magical restraints as he opens his eyes, awakening from his coma. Suddenly, one of Wong's students creeps up from right behind.
WONG:
You're alive?
SARA:
Yes, but so many others were lost.
Wong realizes what has to be done.
WONG:
Set me free, I have to destroy the book.
SARA:
No, it cannot be you.
Without hesitation, she runs up towards the book and prepares to destroy it with the dagger she just pulled from her pocket. As she is running, Wong yells at her, begging her not to do it.
WONG:
Sara, NO!
Sara dives right onto the book and holds it against the ground. Wanda opens her eyes and turns around but it's too late as Sara immediately stabs the book using the dagger, creating a fiery explosion that sets her on fire.
Wong is forced to watch in horror as her body quickly burns itself into hot lava before crumbling into molten rock. As a result of Sara's sacrifice, Wanda falls face flat onto the ground.
CUT TO:
EXT. ALLEY - ALTERNATE UNIVERSE - SAME TIME
We cut back to the alternate universe where we get the same shot of Wanda lying flat on the ground, unconscious. Slowly, she lifts herself up and finds herself lying in front of Strange, ready to attack her at any given moment. Without a single word, she vanishes into thin air in order to avoid confrontation.
After she leaves, Chavez makes her way out from behind the trash can and begins asking questions.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Why'd she just stop?
STRANGE:
I don't know, it's like she just fainted.
She looks at him in confusion.
STRANGE:
Come on, let's go. We're gonna be late.
Without stopping to figure out what just happened, the two of them walk off without another word.
EXT. SANCTUM SANCTORUM - ALTERNATE UNIVERSE - MOMENTS LATER
After hours of searching, the two of them finally make it to the Sanctum. Right in front the entrance is a statue of this universe's Doctor Strange, which is engraved in stone. Strange walks up to the statue and gazes at it, before looking down and reading the pedestal with the words written.
"Dr. Stephen Strange gave his life defeating Thanos. We express eternal gratitude to Earth's mightiest hero"
Suddenly, Chavez walks up to him and reads it as well.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
He gave his life defeating Thanos?
STRANGE:
Yeah, see? We're not all bad.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Well, then. If you're dead, who's the master of the sanctum?
Strange looks over at the entrance and sees none other than his former archenemy and co-worker, Baron Mordo standing right at the entrance.
STRANGE:
Under his breath
Oh, sh*t.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Wait, you know him?
STRANGE:
Yeah, Mordo. He's actually the first guy who let me into Kamar-Taj.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Oh, great.
STRANGE:
Then he snapped and dedicated the rest of his life trying to kill me.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Sarcastic
Oh, great.
Suddenly, both Strange and Mordo engage in a stare down before Mordo starts walking towards him.
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
I always suspected this day would come.
Immediately, Strange holds out his hands in front of Chavez in case of an attack.
STRANGE:
You DID?
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
Yes, because you always suspected this day would come.
The two of them stare at each other in silence for a brief moment before Mordo breaks the tension.
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
My brother.
Immediately, Mordo gives him a big hug.
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
Come in, and tell me everything about your universe.
He escorts the two of them into the Sanctum while Strange looks over at America.
STRANGE:
You go on red.
Slowly, the two begin walking straight towards the door.
CUT TO:
INT. SANCTUM SANCTORUM - MOMENTS LATER
We cut to the inside of the Sanctum where Strange, Chavez and Mordo are each sitting on chairs, having a conversation while his servant makes tea for the two of them.
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
So, tell me. How exactly did you get here?
STRANGE:
Back in my universe, I was fighting this red-headed witch lady named Wanda. I'm assuming you know about her, prior to the fact that-
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
Oh, yes. We do have Wanda in this universe, in fact, I just talked to her this morning.
STRANGE:

Then, you're quite formidable too, it seems. A multiversal traveler. Well, thank the stars you brought DOCTOR STRANGE to safety.
STRANGE:
Yeah, well. Just because we jumped ship, doesn't mean we're safe. Our Wanda has the ability to summon creatures to attack America in different universes. Just now, she tried to attack us by using the body of this universe's Wanda.
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
So, she has the Darkhold?
STRANGE:
Wait, you know of the Darkhold.
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
Oh, yes. We have a Darkhold in this universe as well, I guard it right here in this Sanctum. We would NEVER risk a weapon that dangerous falling into the wrong hands.
STRANGE:
Damn right.
Finally, Strange starts taking a few sips of his tea.
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
But if your Darkhold is anything like ours, I'm afraid she can do far worse than just summon creatures.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
What do you mean?
As Mordo begins his speech, we get a glimpse of momentary flashbacks of Wanda performing the Darkhold ritual prior to the book's destruction.
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
There is a spell contained within those pages, corrutive to the soul. A desecration of reality itself, Dreamwalking. A dreamwalking sorcerer projects their own consciousness from their universe into another, possessing the body of an alternate self. They may puppeteer this unholy doppelganger and pursue their enemies from afar. The possession is not a permanent link between realities, but in the fleeting time they dreamwalk, they can do irreparable damage to the universe they invade. So it may not be a demon that you face, it may be the Scarlet Witch.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Wait, well then why didn't she just do that to begin with?
STRANGE:
Because that was her being "Reasonable" I guess.
Finally, Strange decides to stop wasting time and asks the important questions.
STRANGE:
What do you know of the book of Vishanti?
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
The Darkhold's antithesis? It can give a sorcerer whatever power they need to defeat their enemy.
Strange stands up but his voice begins to distort.
STRANGE:
Distorted
I need your help to get me to it.
All of a sudden, he starts feeling dizzy and begins losing balance as his perception of reality begins distorting, giving Mordo the perfect opportunity to reveal himself for who he truly is.
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
I'm sorry, Stephen. But I hope you, out of all people, understand, that it is not Wanda Maximoff who threatens our reality, it's the two of you.
Suddenly, Mordo's voice begins echoing as Chavez begins feeling dizzy as well.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
What was in that tea?
Immediately, Chavez passes out almost instantly as a result of Mordo's poisoning which Strange figures out immediately.
STRANGE:
Distorted
You son of a b*tch-
Unfortunately, it's too late to do anything about that now as he drops his cup of tea on the floor, smashing it into a million pieces before he ultimately falls onto the floor as well.
As he lies there, he sees an hourglass lying on the table, containing green powders, which he immediately recognizes.
STRANGE:
Struggling
The sands of Nisanti...
Strange rolls over, lying on his back, trying his best to keep moving but fails.
ALTERNATE UNIVERSE MORDO
Echoing
I'm sorry, Stephen. Your desecration of reality, will not go unpunished.
Mordo's voice begins echoing once again before the screen eventually fades to black.
FADE TO BLACK.
INT/EXT. KAMAR TAJ - SAME TIME
Finally, the screen fades in as we cut back to Kamar-Taj where Wanda finally wakes up flat on her face after being knocked down. As soon as she gets up, she crawls over to the destroyed Darkhold and begins panicking after realizing she cannot use it anymore.
WANDA:
Under her breath
No, no, no.
She turns around and looks at Wong dead in the eye, who gives her the dead-eyed stare as well while he is still tied up.
JUMP CUT TO:
EXT. KAMAR TAJ COURTYARD - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Suddenly, we get a jump cut of Wong getting thrown onto the steps before tumbling across the courtyard as Wanda walks towards him, scolding him.
WANDA:
I need the Darkhold's spells, you are the Sorcerer Supreme, tell me what you know.
Wong slowly picks himself up and spits out a chunk of blood.
WONG:
And if I don't? You're gonna have to kill me, Witch.
WANDA:
No, not you. Them.
Wanda sees a boiling cauldron lying a few metres left from where she's standing. Conveniently, the same fallen sorcerer that she had spared after destroying Kamar-Taj can be seen lying right beside it.
Immediately, she fires up the cauldron using her magic, turning it into lava and without any hesitation whatsoever, she tilts it down and the boiling hot lava pours right onto the fallen Sorcerer, making him scream in pain and agony as he suffers the most painful death known to mankind.
Meanwhile, Wanda feels not even the slightest bit of remorse after what she had just did as the man's body slowly crumbles to molten rock, physically turning into a statue.
WONG:
Scoffs
That's it?
Suddenly, Wanda uses her telekinesis to lift up the pile of rubble lying in front of them, revealing 4 more sorcerers who are still alive after the Battle of Kamar-Taj. She lifts them up and tortures them using her magic, threatening to tear their limbs off unless Wong decides to slip up.
WONG:
Wanda, stop.
Unfortunately, Wanda doesn't even give the slightest of fucks as she continues torturing the poor sorcerers while Wong starts begging.
WONG:
Desperate
Wanda, PLEASE!
Out of pity, she lets go of the sorcerers, dropping them onto the rubble and possibly knocking them out. Unable to watch his friends die at the hands of Wanda any longer, he willingly gives up the Darkhold's secrets.
WONG:
Disappointed
The Darkhold was a copy.
WANDA:
A copy?
WONG:
Legend speaks of a mountain with the wretched spells you seek carved within its walls. It is there the Darkhold was transcribed. Mount Wundagore.
WANDA:
Wundagore? Where?
WONG:
Somewhere in Romania, I don't know. Although it is real, no one has survived the journey. No one.
Suddenly, she uses her telekinesis and removes a sling ring from the hands of one of the fallen sorcerers before flying it right into Wong's hands.
WANDA:
Perhaps, we will be the exception.
Immediately, the screen cuts to black
CUT TO:
INT. LABORATORY - ALTERNATE UNIVERSE - NIGHT
As the screen fades in, we see Strange lying on his side, still unconscious. Shortly, he opens his eyes and sees two electronic restraints cuffed onto both his hands.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Off Camera
HEY!
As he lifts himself up, he finds himself locked inside a glass cell and sees Chavez standing in the one right next to him, banging on the glass as hard as she can as a way to get attention. She turns over and sees that Strange has finally woken up.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
This universe sucks.
Strange looks over his shoulder and realizes his cloak has gone missing.
STRANGE:
Cloak?
Immediately, he tries breaking himself out using his magical hand gestures but it's no use as the restraints are nerfing his power. Frustrated, he thinks of another way to break out, he looks over and sees two scientists looking directly at a holographic and immediately calls for their attention.
STRANGE:
Hey!
He knocks on the glass.
STRANGE:
Hey, labcoat. Where the hell are we?
The scientist looks over at him before diverting his attention back to the table.
STRANGE:
Look, I don't know who you are or where you're from, but these kind of situations don't usually work out well for the nameless scientists, so I suggest you just let us go before-
Before he can continue his speech, one of the scientists turn around and reveal themselves as this universe's Christine Palmer, Strange's ex fiancee.
STRANGE:

Strange raises his restraints forward, showing them to Christine.

Ah, yes. I developed those using the sands of Nisanti, one of 838 Stephen's magical relics.
STRANGE:
838 Stephen? Is there some kind of robot version of me, or...

Our universe is Earth-838, and we've designated yours Earth-199999.
STRANGE:
Well, then you guys must know a lot about the multiverse if you've got someone going around, naming realities.
838 CHRISTINE
Yes, me. I was a senior fellow at the Baxter Foundation, I specialize in Multiversal Research.
STRANGE:
So, how'd you end up working here? Wherever here is.
838 CHRISTINE
Well, I volunteered, at your funeral.
STRANGE:
She walks over to the computer and shows a scan of the hand injuries of both Stephen and his 838 counterpart.
838 CHRISTINE
It's fascinating, you're injuries, they're similar but they're not identical. It's weird.
STRANGE:
Hey, uh. Christine.
She looks towards him, waiting for what he has to say.
STRANGE:
Look, I don't know you, and I know you don't know me-
838 CHRISTINE
And I don't want to, whatever I was to you in your universe, does not apply here. Not anymore.
STRANGE:

She walks up towards the glass.
838 CHRISTINE
Because, Stephen. You're dangerous.

He walks up towards the glass and squats down.
STRANGE:

Strange looks to the right and sees 838 Mordo entering the room, accompanied by 4 Ultron robots. Immediately, he stands up.
STRANGE:
Well, what then? Suicide Squad?
838 MORDO
The Illuminati will see you now.
STRANGE:
The... What?
Immediately, Strange's cuffs link themselves together automatically as the glass door in front of him opens up by itself. He looks over at Christine, begging her to keep the kid safe.
STRANGE:
Don't let anyone hurt the kid.
Christine looks at him silent as he walks down the small flight of steps beneath the cell.
STRANGE:
To Chavez
It's gonna be alright.
INT. MAIN HALL - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Strange is slowly escorted out of the laboratory and into the main hall as he walks up the granite staircase, accompanied by 4 Ultron bots while Mordo is nowhere to be seen. As he looks around, he sees multiple gigantic statues of historical figures placed around the room.
As they reach the entrance, the door in front of them opens by itself and the robots push Strange right through it before the doors close automatically.
Slowly, he walks forward and finds himself in a dark room before the light flickers on, one by one. Immediately, he finds himself standing in front of a stage with 3 unidentified people sitting on chairs while Mordo is seen walking across the stage, introducing them one by one.
838 MORDO
Stephen Strange, you are now called before the Illuminati. I, Baron Karl Amandeus Mordo, the sorcerer supreme, do hereby-
Strange is confused as to why his middle name is Karl and immediately cuts him off.
STRANGE:

I'm sorry, Karl?-
Before he can say another word, one of the members throws their shield across the room, which bounces off the walls before landing right in their hands. Immediately, the thrower of the shield stands up, revealing themselves as an alternate female version of Captain America.

She sits back down as the camera pans right, revealing their next member.

Strange is amused by his name and decides to greet him by mocking his name.

He raises his cuffs.
STRANGE:

Black Bolt looks at him in disgust. Finally, Mordo introduces the next member as the camera pans right.

Captain Marvel, defender of the cosmos.
It turns out this universe's Captain Marvel is actually Maria Rambeau, one of Carol Danvers' former co-workers. Finally, the camera pans further to the right, revealing their final member.

And the smartest man alive...
Suddenly, a variant of Mister Fantastic teleports himself into the room using a blue square shaped vortex.
838 MORDO
Reed Richards, of the Fantastic Four.
Immediately, he greets Stephen with a thumbs up.
MISTER FANTASTIC
Hello, Stephen.
STRANGE:
Fantastic Four? Didn't you guys chart in the 60s?
838 CAPTAIN MARVEL
I'm sorry, is this a joke to you?
STRANGE:
Referring to Black Bolt
Well, there's a guy over there with an antenna on his head so yeah, a little bit.
Black Bolt slams his fist into his palm and starts mewing.
CAPTAIN CARTER:
Be grateful Black Bolt doesn't engage you in coversation.
STRANGE:
Why? Does he not speak English?
CAPTAIN CARTER:
Looks like this Stephen is even more arrogant than ours.
She looks over at Captain Marvel.
STRANGE:
No, just more alive.
838 CHRISTINE
For now.
STRANGE:
"For Now"? What is that, a threat?
MISTER FANTASTIC
Stephen, your arrival completely endangers our reality. The longer we keep you alive, the more likely it is for our reality to collapse in on itself.
838 CAPTAIN MARVEL
So, before we vote, if you've got anything serious to say, now's the time.
STRANGE:

Strange turns around and slowly unties his show before turning back and hurling it right towards Captain Marvel, who dodges it with her lightning fast reflexes as it bounces off the glass window behind her. After that, he lashes out at the group for their incompetence.
STRANGE:

THAT'S IT? THAT'S THE BEST SOLUTION YOU CAN THINK OF? KILLING ME IS YOUR SOLUTION? SURE! WHY NOT? LET'S JUST KILL THE GUY WHO RISKED HIS LIFE TRYING TO SAVE A 15 YEAR OLD GIRL, WHO HE JUST MET THIS MORNING- ARE YOU KIDDING ME? GOTTA BE KIDDING ME? Suddenly, Strange's electronic restraints begin to electrocute him almost automatically, making him fall onto his knees, humbling him immediately.
MISTER FANTASTIC
If you're done with your little... outburst, we'd really like to hear what you have to say, politely.
Having been humbled and humiliated by electricity, Strange cools down and lifts himself up before walking onto the platform and beginning his speech in a calm and collective nature.
STRANGE:
If it's ME you're really worried about, do you seriously think I'm a bigger threat than the Scarlet Witch?
MISTER FANTASTIC
Who?
838 MORDO
Scarlet Witch. Wanda, but from HIS universe.
STRANGE:
She's killed hundreds of my guys back at Kamar-Taj, and when she gets here, she's gonna kill off everyone of you, one by one.
MISTER FANTASTIC
Actually, she's right here.
STRANGE:
What?
Suddenly, the screen behind him lights up as he turns around and sees live security camera footage of Wanda being locked up in a containment cell, dead-eyeing the camera as she sits in the corner with her legs crossed with the same electronic restraints used on Strange cuffed around her hands. Finally, the screen shuts off as Strange turns around, even more frightened.
MISTER FANTASTIC
You've got nothing to worry about.
838 CAPTAIN MARVEL
And besides, we can handle your little witch if she decides to dreamwalk.
STRANGE:
No. No, you cannot. Not unless you bring me to the book of Vishanti. Besides, you guys are making a big mistake, alright? She's not as stupid as you think, she's gonna figure out a way to get out and when does, she's not gonna negotiate, she's gonna kill everyone and everything that stands in her way unless you bring me to the book of Vishanti, RIGHT NOW.
MISTER FANTASTIC
We appreciate your concern, Stephen. But it's not the Scarlet Witch that we fear, the greatest danger to the multiverse, it turns out, is you.
STRANGE:
Wait, what?
MISTER FANTASTIC
Just this morning, we detected a splinter in reality coming from a certain Earth-199999.
STRANGE:
Oh, that? I was in the mirror dimension, fighting Wanda. I almost had her until I accidentally fell through different dimensions and next thing I know, I ended up here.
MISTER FANTASTIC
Exactly, it was your "Fight" that tore a hole through the fabric of reality, tearing open the gateway to infinite realities, deepening the risk of an incursion.
STRANGE:
Incursion?
MISTER FANTASTIC
An incursion occurs when the boundaries between two universes erode and they collide, destroying one or both, entirely.
CAPTAIN CARTER:
YOU created the Illuminati as a way to make the difficult decisions that no one else could.
STRANGE:
Wait, your Doctor Strange? Earth's Mightiest Hero? The one that died defeating Thanos.
UNKNOWN VOICE:
We should tell him the truth.
Suddenly, an unknown voice is heard from across the room as a bald man in a hover-chair makes his way across the stage.

Our first and final member, Professor Charles Xavier, leader of the X-Men.
He positions himself right in the middle, between Carter and Mordo before preparing to confront Strange.
STRANGE:
Well, what truth?
PROFESSOR X:
That's not how our Strange died.
Strange looks at him in confusion.
CUT TO:
EXT. TRANSIAN ALPS - SAME TIME
We cut to a landscape shot of the Transian alps where both Wanda and Wong can be seen walking out of a sling ring portal. Ahead lies none other than the Darkhold Castle, which is on the mountain right across from them.
WANDA:
You couldn't just portal us up there?
WONG:
My Magic can only take us so far, masters of the mystic arts weren't meant to tread upon the forbidden grounds of Wundagore.
Immediately, she flies over to the castle while carrying Wong with her telekinesis.
INT/EXT. DARKHOLD CASTLE - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
As they enter the castle, Wanda flies back onto the ground and lets go of Wong as the two of them explore the area together, finding spells carved into the walls and floor.
WONG:
Eons ago, the first demon, Chthon, carved his magic into this very tomb. These same spells were later transcribed, into the Darkhold.
Suddenly, a loud crumbling sound can be heard from behind. Immediately, the two of them turn around to see where it's coming from but turn back after seeing absolutely nothing.
WONG:
There's no telling what soulless monstrosities lie within.
Suddenly, Wanda uses her magic to light up 4 random cauldrons positioned around the corners. Immediately, 4 demonic entities suddenly spawn out of nowhere and begin terrorizing the two. Immediately, the two of them prepare for battle as Wanda activates their magic while Wong conjures his shields.
To maintain ground, Wanda flies up to the altar and is shocked to her senses to see the 4 creatures bowing down right in front of her. She turns around and sees a similar statue of herself, engraved in stone.
WANDA:
All this time, they've been waiting for me. This isn't a tomb, it's a shrine.
Wanda turns around and walks off the altar before heading towards the statue, examining it by touching.
WANDA:
It's all carved in stone, I was meant to rule everything.
She turns over and looks at Wong.
WANDA:
But, that's not what I want. I just want my boys.
WONG:
At the risk of the entire multiverse? Is there no peace in knowing, that even though you can't be with the ones you love, there are universes where you are together, is that not enough?
WANDA:
No.
Suddenly, she blasts Wong with her chaos beam and sends him tumbling towards the wall. She then ties up both his hands with her magical restraints, attaching them to the wall as he kneels down unconscious.
With Wong finally out of her way, we cut to Wanda levitating on the altar with the Darkhold lying right next to her as once again, multiple strands of red holographic orbs slowly revolve around her.
DISSOLVE TO:
EXT. ILLUMINATI HEADQUARTERS - NIGHT - SAME TIME
Finally, the camera zooms into one of the red orbs and we get a partial exterior shot of the Illuminati Headquarters which seems to be in the same location as the Avengers facility in upstate New York before we zoom in even further.
DISSOLVE TO:
INT. WANDA'S CELL - ILLUMINATI HQ - SAME TIME
Finally, the screen dissolves to 838 Wanda, who is lying on the ground, fast asleep in her cell. Suddenly, she opens both her eyes and finds herself locked up in a containment cell. Immediately, she gets up and looks for a way to escape. She starts by using her magical hand gestures to remove the restraints, only to realize they've been nerfing her powers.
WANDA:
Under her breath
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Desperate, she tries to break out of her cuffs by stomping her foot against it, only for it to not budge as she just isn't strong enough. With her power, she is an unstoppable force not to be reckoned with, without it, she is just wall level fodder.
Frustrated, she gives up and decides to lean against the wall and sit in the corner, disappointed. All of a sudden, the cell door in front of her opens up on its own. Immediately, she stands up, confused as to why the door is suddenly open.
Right as she stands up, the restraints on her hands suddenly deactivate, falling to the ground. She doesn't know how or why she is suddenly free, all she knows is that she now has the perfect opportunity to break out and attack the HQ.
INT. PRISON CORRIDOR - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Slowly, she walks out of her cell and sees herself being approached by an Ultron bot who walks through the corridor and is alarmed to see her out of her cell. Immediately, it jogs straight towards her, demanding her to surrender.
ULTRON SENTRY #1
Stop where you are! Ultron commands you to halt
Disgusted to see the face of the thing that killed her brother, she looks the robot right in the eye as it runs right towards her.
CUT TO:
INT. HALLWAY - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Suddenly, we get a sideways shot of Ultron being blasted through the corridor and crashing into the wall as Wanda turns around the corner and begins walking towards the camera. As she is walking, the Ultron drones see her out of her cell and immediately start firing at her without hesitation.
ULTRON SENTRY #2
Ultron commands you to halt.
Immediately, she shields herself with her magic force fields and begins slaughtering the Ultron drones left and right by ripping them apart and making them crash into each other using her telekinesis.
CUT TO:
INT. ILLUMINATI CHAMBER - SAME TIME
We cut back to the Illuminati Chamber where Strange is still standing in front of the stage while Xavier begins his speech.
PROFESSOR X:
Even though, our Strange did not die defeating Thanos, we were at war, and while the rest of us banded together to try and stop Thanos, Strange, as always, opted to go it alone.
838 MORDO
He turned to the Darkhold and began dreamwalking, in hopes that our salvation might lie in the Multiverse.
838 CAPTAIN MARVEL
And guess what? It didn't, but he kept doing anyway.
838 MISTER FANTASTIC
The day we defeated Thanos, you called us all together, confessed that you've been dreamwalking, and in your words "Things just got out of hand", you never told us the details of how it happened, only that you had inadvertently triggered an incursion.
CAPTAIN CARTER:
You, our friend, has caused the annihilation of another universe.
838 CAPTAIN MARVEL
Everyone in that reality died, everyone.
PROFESSOR X:
Although, he made some terrible decisions, he was never a bad person at heart. Steven renounced the Darkhold's evil and used it to help us find the Book of Vishanti, a weapon we did use, together, to defeat Thanos. However, one final threat remained.
Strange watches as Xavier presses his fingertips against his bald head, creating an illusion.
DISSOLVE TO:
Slowly, the screen dissolves into a flashback of the planet titan, where 2/3 of the group can be seen standing together after finally having defeated Thanos, who can be seen lying on top of the rubble with his sword impaled through his chest.
Lying in front of them is none other than 838 Stephen Strange, who is kneeling on the ground with the Darkhold lying right in front of him. As he is kneeling, his fingertips all painted in black with teardrops rolling from his eyes.
838 STRANGE
I'm ready
Standing among the group is none other than Captain Carter, who can be seen holding onto the book of Vishanti.
CAPTAIN CARTER:
I shall miss you, my friend.
Slowly, Black Bolt walks up towards him and prepares to execute him with his sonic scream.
BLACK BOLT:
Echoing
I'm sorry.
Immediately, powerful sound-waves come out of Black Bolt's mouth, destroying everything in front of him as Strange disintegrates into thin air along with the Darkhold while the group watches in sorrow after being forced to kill their own friend.
DISSOLVE TO:
INT. ILLUMINATI CHAMBER - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Finally, the screen dissolves back to the Illuminati Chamber where Strange widens his eyes in shock after learning the truth of 838 Stephen's death. He looks over at Black Bolt, frightened after learning just now as to why he doesn't speak, who looks back at him in sorrow.
STRANGE:
Stuttering
Did- Did you tell Christine?
MISTER FANTASTIC
Yes.
STRANGE:
What about the statue?
The group looks at him in silence.
STRANGE:
You built a statue, and for what? Was it all just for some kind of publicity stunt?
CAPTAIN CARTER:

Suddenly, the alarm starts blaring out of nowhere.
MISTER FANTASTIC
The building's been breached.
STRANGE:
No sh*t, Sherlock.
CAPTAIN CARTER:
Status report on sentries
Suddenly, the screen lights up once again, showing live security camera footage of the main hall, where Wanda can be seen killing Ultron drones left and right by using her telekinesis to pull them apart and make them crash into each other.

838 CAPTAIN MARVEL
She's headed straight for the lab.
Suddenly, Wanda decapitates one of the Ultron bots with her magic as the security camera zooms in on her.
ULTRON SENTRY #4
Stop where you-
Before it can finish, Wanda crushes the robot's head, disabling the camera.
CAPTAIN CARTER:
Watch him, we'll vote on our return.
Immediately, 4 members of the team get off their seats and make their way out of the chamber while Mordo and Professor X choose to keep watch.
PROFESSOR X:
Stephen, should you manage to escape this chamber, you must guide America Chavez.
Suddenly, Mordo gets up from his chair.
838 MORDO
What the hell are you saying?
PROFESSOR X:
Save the girl and get to the book of Vishanti, from there it will teach you how to change the spell.
STRANGE:
Wait, you have the book here? And you're telling me this NOW?!
PROFESSOR X:
Yes, you built a way-point, not only does the book allow you to defeat your enemy, it can also reverse any spell.
STRANGE:
Unbelievable.

INT. LABORATORY - SAME TIME
We cut to the Laboratory where Christine is operating on one of the computers when all of a sudden, the alarm goes off.
ULTRON SENTRY #5
Perimeter Breakdown.
She turns around and sees 2 Ultron bots start running towards the main hall.
ULTRON SENTRY #6
All sentries engage.
Immediately, Christine figures out what's going on and demands everyone to leave.
838 CHRISTINE
Everybody out!
Chavez turns around in her cell and sees what's going on.
838 CHRISTINE
NOW!
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
It's Wanda
Immediately, Christine rushes towards the main computer and tries to free Chavez from her cell.
CUT TO:
We cut to the main hall where one of the Ultron drones is seen running into the smoke, only to end up having their decapitated head rolling onto the floor with Wanda slowly walking out.
ULTRON SENTRY #5
Ultron commands you to halt.
BACK TO:
INT. LABORATORY - SAME TIME
Immediately, Chavez sees Wanda walking out from the smoke and begs Christine to hurry up.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Hurry, hurry, hurry. She's coming, she's coming.
Christine tries her best to unlock the cell but is shocked to her senses when the computer starts to malfunction, seconds before blowing itself up.
838 CHRISTINE
Oh, sh*t.
BACK TO:
We go back to the main hall, where Wanda can be seen walking out of the smoke and right towards the laboratory while the decapitated Ultron bot lies in front of her.
ULTRON SENTRY #5
Malfunctioning
Ultron commands-
Before it can say another word, Wanda lifts its head off the ground and blows it apart with her magic. As she makes her way to the lab, she is suddenly stopped after 4 members of the Illuminati land right in front of her one by one.
She watches as the land in order, starting with Mister Fantastic, followed by Captain Marvel, followed by Captain Carter on her jet-pack and last but not least, Black Bolt.
MISTER FANTASTIC
Wanda, stop. You've possessed an innocent woman but you can still do the right thing, let her go.
He takes a step forward.
MISTER FANTASTIC
Please, I have children of my own, I understand your pain.
WANDA:
MISTER FANTASTIC
Yes.
WANDA:
Good, then there will be someone left to raise them.
Richards is highly offended at what Wanda has just said, but unfortunately he has no choice but to play it cool.
MISTER FANTASTIC
Wanda, I know how upset you are, how much this means to you. But you know, we can't let you do that, I'm sorry.
WANDA:
Yeah. Well, I'm really sorry too.
Suddenly, she blasts Richards to the other side of the room using her chaos beam, knocking him into the wall. Immediately, the team reacts by spreading out as Captain Marvel and Black Bolt fly towards the ceiling while Carter runs to the other side.
The fight begins with Maria blasting Wanda with her photon beams, which Wanda is able to block using her magic shields and lightning fast reaction. On the left, she sees Carter leaping onto one of the winged statues and immediately blasts her. Luckily, Carter dodges the attack and throws her shield right towards Wanda, who catches it with her magic and throws it right into a random pillar from across the room.
Meanwhile, Black Bolt can be seen flying along the ceiling. After having preserved enough power, he gently hums towards the ground, creating a mini explosion on the ground that sends both Wanda and Carter getting knocked down.
Immediately, Wanda is able to lift herself and react to Captian Marvel's photon beams once more which she intercepts with her magic. Behind her, she sees Carter running towards her shield. Wanda thinks of blasting her away but she can't do anything right now as she is way too busy with Maria.
While the two of them are clashing, Carter retrieves her shield from the pillar and immediately runs off. Meanwhile, Wanda figures out a way to defeat Captain Marvel by lifting one of the winged statues with her telekinesis and flies it right towards her, knocking her straight into the wall.
With Maria now out of the way, Wanda looks around and sees Carter's shield is no longer stuck to the pillar, meaning she has gotten away. She turns around and immediately sees Richards rolling right towards her before wrapping himself around her body, successfully restraining her.
With Wanda now fully subdued, Carter makes her way out of hiding and runs straight towards Wanda before hitting her as hard as she can with her shield, only for her to barely get a nosebleed.
Meanwhile, Black Bolt can be seen hovering once again and sees what is happening, he considers shouting at Wanda but doesn't want to risk hurting his teammates.
Eventually, Wanda is able to free her right hand and immediately lifts Carter off the ground with her telekinesis and sends her flying across the room, removing her from the battlefield.
With Carter now out of the way, Black Bolt decides to stop wasting time and immediately lets out a light scream, incapacitating Wanda with his sound waves while Richards loosens his entire body, slumping onto the ground after being incapacitated as well.
As a result of this, Wanda is forced to cover both her ears. To his advantage, Black Bolt flies right towards Wanda and yells at her. Immediately, she shields herself from his scream using her magic force fields as the ground beneath her starts shaking.
On her right, she sees Carter running straight towards her in an attempt to attack her while she is distracted. Unfortunately, Wanda can see her right then and there and immediately lifts her off the ground using her magic and flies her towards Black Bolt, sending the both of them flying into the other direction, removing them from the battlefield.
With both Carter and Black Bolt now out of her way, Wanda turns around and searches for her next victim. From behind, Richards grabs Wanda by her left arm using his stretching powers. Immediately, she turns around and Reed grabs her by the right arm.
Without hesitation, he tries pulling her towards him but fails as Wanda is strong enough to spin herself around 2 or 3 times, forcing him to let go as he ends up tumbling across the room but is able to land steadily. Desperate, he runs up towards Wanda and tries to punch her but is stopped after she catches him mid air and flips him upside down.
After that, she uses her reality warping abilities to turn him into string cheese by twisting every strand in his body, making him feel the most immeasurable pain levels known to mankind as he screams as loud as he can before ultimately blowing him apart with her magic.
Carter watches in horror as her fellow teammate is slaughtered right in front of him, making this fight a lot more serious. Immediately, Wanda looks up and sees Captain Marvel flying out of the wall she threw her in as she fires at Wanda with her photon beams, which she immediately shields herself from thanks to her lightning fast reflexes.
After that, Wanda lifts herself off the ground and starts flying backwards before using her telekinesis to lift the tiles off the ground and flying them right in front of herself, creating a shield. Immediately, she lands on the ground and watches as Maria flies through the debris in an attempt to bull-rush her, only to intercept her at the last second.
Almost immediately, lifts herself off the ground as the two of them begin clashing. As they clash, the ground beneath them starts erupting as they begin flying around in circles, opposite to each other.
838 CAPTAIN MARVEL
Get the hell out of my universe!
Maria starts firing at Wanda more aggressively but it's no use as Wanda's force field is too strong. Ultimately, Wanda is able to turn the tides by reversing the shield, making it so that she is absorbing Captain Marvel's power. Maria slowly begins to realize it once her mask starts to fall apart but unfortunately, it is just too late.
CUT TO:
INT/EXT. DARKHOLD CASTLE - SAME TIME
For a brief second, we get a shot of Wanda back in the Darkhold Castle, levitating on the altar before we go back to Earth-838.
BACK TO:
INT. ILLUMINATI CHAMBER - SAME TIME
After successfully absorbing her powers and preserving enough energy, Wanda decides to make her move by blasting at Captain Marvel with her chaos magic, creating a magical shock-wave explosion that sends the two of them flying into opposite directions, knocking them down. Maria ends up bouncing off a statue while Wanda lands directly onto the ground.
While Maria is still weakened, Wanda looks over and sees a gigantic statue towering right over Maria. Immediately, she raises her hand and uses her telekinesis to slightly tilt the statue, making it fall right onto Captain Marvel, who tries to shield herself by crossing her arms in front of her but it's no use as the statue ends up crushing her, killing her instantly.
CUT TO:
INT. ILLUMINATI CHAMBER - SAME TIME
Finally, we cut back to the Illuminati Chamber where Strange is seen still standing in front of the stage while Mordo towers over him, keeping watch. Suddenly, a loud crashing sound can be heard from the other room, indicating that the fight's still going on.
STRANGE:
I know what I did, but I can stop it. Take me to the Book of Vishanti so that I can fix this, so that we can fight her, together-
838 MORDO
You are in no position to give orders, my vote will conclude these proceedings when they return.
STRANGE:
Oh yeah? Well guess what, they're not coming back. And you just cast your vote right now to kill off all your friends.
He turns his back and thinks of a way to escape before coming up with a great idea.
STRANGE:
Not that it ever bothered you before.
STRANGE:
You know, you hated me where I came from. And I bet, secretly, "My Brother", you hated me here. You must've been so jealous. You know what? I bet you were THRILLED when you heard I'd been corrupted, heck, you probably gave me the Darkhold to begin with.
838 MORDO
YOU KNOW NOTHING OF THIS UNIVERSE!
STRANGE:
I KNOW THAT KILLING STEPHEN STRANGE WAS YOUR IDEA, YOUR TICKET TO BECOMING MASTER OF THE SANCTUM, TO BECOMING SORCERER SUPREME, AND TO JOINING YOUR LITTLE CIRCUS OF CLOWNS, "THE ILLUMINATI"-
838 MORDO
I'M READY!
He unsheathes his sword from his back scabbard as he prepares to execute Strange by smiting him right here and now.
838 MORDO
To cast my vote. Now, DIE!
Immediately, Mordo leaps off the stage and leaps right towards Strange, who avoids every one of his swings by dodging, after that he Mordo tries to strike him with his sword but Strange deflects it by holding up his restraints, causing them to sparkle.
After that, he drives the sword out of the way and elbows Mordo right in the face before ducking down and trying to slide kick him, only for Mordo to spin backwards and rest his foot against the wall before leaping right at him using the vaulting boots of Valtor.
As he gets closer, he strikes Strange with his magical sword, knocking him backwards before bouncing off the wall, falling face flat onto the ground. Mordo spins his sword around in victory, hinting to us that it was our universe's Mordo who died in that forest at the start of the film.
As he lies on the ground, Strange notices that one of his restraints has broken off. Suddenly, Mordo grabs him by the collar and picks him up before pinning him to the wall, ready to smite him. All of a sudden, Strange cuffs Mordo's left hand with the broken restraint and before he can kill him, Mordo's sword vanishes right into thin air just inches away.
While he is confused as to why the sword suddenly stopped working, Strange punches Mordo right in the face and the two of them end up tumbling across the floor before falling into the platform gap just beneath the stage. Before they can hit the ground, they end up dangling over the wall mount before their restraints break loose and they end up falling anyway.
CUT TO:
Shortly, we cut back to the main hall where Wanda can be seen looking around the room, waiting for her next victim. Unfortunately, she is unable to see anything around her as the entire area is covered in smoke for some reason. Luckily, she is able to hear footsteps coming from behind.
As she turns around, she sees Captain Carter leaping right towards her with her shield right in front of her. Wanda tried to shield herself with her arms but it's no use since the two of them get knocked back anyway. Immediately, Wanda is able to pick herself up followed by Carter who does the same.
WANDA:
Haven't you had enough?
Carter spits a broken tooth from her mouth.
CAPTAIN CARTER:
Oh, I could do this all day.
Immediately, she starts swiping at Wanda with her shield, who dodges every attack with her magic before she lifts Carter's shield with her magic and throws her across the room but is able to steady her landing using her jet-pack.
Having wasted enough time, Carter immediately flies her shield right towards Wanda who catches it mid-air using her magic. After that, she spins herself around and throws the shield right back at Carter, causing it to fly right through her waist, literally cutting her in half.
As a result of this, the shield goes flying right into a random pillar as we get a blurred shot of Carter's bisected body dropping onto the ground as she lies on her side, eyes wide open.
All of a sudden, the glass ceiling begins shattering into millions of pieces as Black Bolt can be seen flying right through it while screaming as loud as he can, refusing to hold back any longer now that half of his team are dead.
Immediately, Wanda saves herself by summoning a giant force field around her, making sure his scream doesn't effect her and making the glass windows shatter to pieces as Black Bolt flies closer to Wanda while she does the best she can to hold up the force field.
Unlike Captain Marvel, Black Bolt seems to be a much more challenging opponent as Wanda is unable to try and distract him for if she loses focus, the force field will break and she will end up dead the moment it does, forcing them into a stalemate.
CUT TO:
INT. LABORATORY - SAME TIME
We cut back to the Laboratory where Christine is grabbing onto the locks on Chavez's cell while she does the same.
838 CHRISTINE
Ugh, you're sealed shut.
Desperate, Christine takes off her coat and lifts up a fire extinguisher from its kit.
838 CHRISTINE
Get Back.
Immediately, she starts banging it onto the glass cell. She tries 4-5 times but she barely manages to put a dent in it.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Un-cuff me, maybe I could do it.
Christine grabs a mini remote from her desk and presses the button, causing both of Chavez's restraints to deactivate and fall off. Immediately, Chavez punches the glass wall as hard as she can, creating a star shaped crack.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Woah.
838 CHRISTINE
Amazed
Woah.
After creating a star shaped crack in the glass, it was then Chavez began to realize what her powers can really do.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Stay back, I got this.
Christine takes a few steps backwards as Chavez punches through the glass once more, creating a star shaped hole right through it. Immediately, tiny shards of glass start falling out as Chavez jumps out of the cell.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
So, where do we go now?
838 CHRISTINE
I know a place, c'mon, follow me.
Without hesitation, the two of them make their way out of the lab.
INT. ILLUMINATI CHAMBER - SAME TIME
Back in the Illuminati Chamber, Strange and Mordo can be seen lying flat on the ground after falling off the ledge. Simultaneously, the two of them look over at the restraints on one of their hands before they lift themselves up and begin throwing punches.
Mordo swings at Strange at least 3 times but he manages to dodge every attack. Ultimately, he is able to punch Strange against the wall before kicking him right in the gut, causing him to splutter blood from his mouth. After that, he tries kicking him again, this time in the face.
Luckily, Strange ducks down at the last second and dodges the attack before the two of them end up grabbing each other before Strange is able to flip Mordo upside down and throw him onto the ground. While he is still weakened, he picks himself and runs straight towards Mordo who as soon as he gets up, Strange kicks him right in the nose, fracturing it.
After that, he does a parkour jump onto the ledge and successfully escapes from the platform gap while Mordo ends up trapped down there, pinching his Nasal Bridge while scolding Strange.
838 MORDO
I think I'm beginning to understand, why you're mordo.
After having finally escaped Mordo, Strange is seen limping out of the chamber with only one shoe.
838 MORDO
Off Camera
CUT TO:
We cut to the inside of the Cerebro room, where both Christine and Chavez can be seen entering through the x-shaped sliding door alongside Xavier who is in his hover-chair. As they make their way to the panel, Xavier turns on the monitor and puts on the Cerebro helmet that is wired to the device
DISSOLVE TO:
EXT. WHITE VOID - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Immediately, the camera zooms in towards Xavier's brains as the screen dissolves to a black background where we get a sudden glimpse of our Wanda, screaming in the Darkhold castle before finally, the screen dissolves to an empty white void with an unopened empty door right in the middle of it.
Shortly, Xavier takes a few steps forward and reveals himself as we see him walking on both feet while wearing a black turtleneck. He turns around and looks towards the camera, only to see nothing. When he turns back, the door in front of him opens up all by itself as he walks right through it.
About 20 meters from where he is standing, a large pile of debris can be seen lying right across. Slowly, he walks towards the debris and sees a destroyed TV lying along, playing an old 60's sitcom "The Dick Van Dyke show"
Eventually, he sees a small cave positioned right at the bottom middle and is shocked to his senses when a mysterious hand pops right out of nowhere, nearly giving him a heart attack. Finally, whoever that hand belongs to reveals themselves as Earth-838 Wanda, who is begging to be rescued.
838 WANDA
Help me, please.
PROFESSOR X:
Wanda Maximoff, your mind is being held hostage by your alternate self.
Suddenly, loud rumbling noises can be heard as the debris begins to cave in on itself. Immediately, Xavier holds out his hand and grabs onto Wanda.
PROFESSOR X:
Straining
Hurry, grab my hand. Perhaps, if I can pull you from under the rubble, the spell will break.
Xavier tries his absolute best to pull Wanda out from under the cave but it's no use as he just isn't strong enough to make a difference. Suddenly, large clouds of Red smoke suddenly appear out of nowhere and start rolling towards them as creepy whispering noises can be heard from behind.
Suddenly, Xavier loses focus as he stops pulling, all while the smoke starts to come closer as he stares in dread.
CUT TO:
INT. DARKHOLD CASTLE - SAME TIME
Once more, we get a brief shot of Wanda levitating in the Darkhold Castle, zooming in on her face before finally cutting back.
BACK TO:
EXT. WHITE VOID - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Suddenly, 838 Wanda loses grip on Xavier's hand and immediately gets sucked back into the cave while he continues to stare in dread. Out of nowhere, a zombified version of Wanda appears right out of the smoke and snaps the professor's neck, killing him instantly.
CUT TO:
INT. CEREBRO ROOM - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Immediately, we cut back to the Cerebro Room where Xavier can be seen slumping over in his chair with his neck fully twisted as blood starts dripping from his eyes and nose, all while Christine and Chavez are nowhere to be found.
CUT TO:
Finally, we cut to the hallway where both Chavez AND Christine are seen entering from the corridor. As they move forward, they suddenly pause after hearing loud footsteps coming from across. For a brief minute, the two of them stare directly towards the other side as the footsteps start getting louder and louder.
Finally, the one making those footsteps is revealed to be Strange who is seen running down the corridor and immediately turns left after seeing them both on the other side.
STRANGE:
Hey, you alright?
As he approaches them, Chavez immediately runs up towards him and gives him a big hug.
STRANGE:
You okay?
Suddenly, Strange's cloak can be seen flying right through the corridor and mounts itself right onto Strange's back.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Well, she fixed him.
Slowly, Christine walks over towards the two of them.
STRANGE:
Thank you.
CHRISTINE:
Yeah.
STRANGE:
Xavier said I built a way-point, could you take us there?
CHRISTINE:
How am I supposed to trust you?
STRANGE:
Look, I know what happened, and I'm sorry for what he did, for what I did, but believe me, the book of Vishanti is the only way.
CHRISTINE:
Yeah, you're way. You're beginning to sound a LOT like my Stephen right now, he had to be the one holding the knife and THAT knife killed trillions of people.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Well, this Strange is different. He is, it doesn't matter what happened with your Stephen, he's nothing like him.
Strange looks over at Christine.
STRANGE:
Smart Kid.
Out of options, Christine decides she has no choice but to trust Strange.
838 CHRISTINE
Sighs
Give me your hand.
Strange holds out his left hand and watches as Christine deactivates his restraints using the mini remote control as they fall to the ground. After that, she pulls out 838 Stephen's sling ring from her front pocket and hands it to Strange.
838 CHRISTINE
And hold on to THIS.
Stephen immediately wears the ring over his two fingers, proud of his new look. Suddenly, loud rumbling noises can be heard from above, reminding them that this place is no longer safe.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Okay, can we go now?
838 CHRISTINE
Yeah, follow me.
CUT TO:
INT. FIRE ESCAPE - MOMENTS LATER
Shortly, the three of them can be seen making their way down the fire escape by walking down the stairwell. After that, they run straight into the electricity room where Christine pulls the switch, shutting the door behind them and making sure no one gets in.
STRANGE:
Where's that tunnel go?
838 CHRISTINE
You'll see.
As they leave the electricity room, they find themselves walking through a dimly-lit tunnel. As they are walking, they find an unaccompanied Ultron bot randomly operating on the panel attached to the wall. Strange takes a step forward to ask it a question.
STRANGE:
Hey, uh. Excuse me! Where can we find the Book of Vishanti?
The bot turns around and looks towards them before going back to what it was doing. Offended, Strange lashes out at the bot, demanding it to answer.
STRANGE:
Hey, I asked you a question, alright? I expect that you'll give me a simple answer.
Without even saying a single word, the bot continues operating on the panel before running off to the other direction, leaving Strange offended and confused.
STRANGE:
Before he can finish his sentence, a large explosion sets off from the very wall the bot was operating on, causing large chunks of debris to come flying out of the wall, trapping them. It turns out the bot was setting the timer for an explosion as a way to kill them in case they came after it.
Suddenly, loud and slow footsteps can be heard coming from behind. Immediately, the three of them turn around, waiting to see who is making those footsteps. For nearly a minute, the three of them stare directly into the hallway before the person making those footsteps finally reveal themselves.
It's Black Bolt, who appears to be under Wanda's mind control spell after she had defeated him off-screen although it is unclear as to how she succeeded. Immediately, Strange opens up a portal behind both Chavez and Christine who walk right through it without hesitation.
Within a split second, Black Bolt begins channeling his energy before shouting at Strange, who covers himself with his magical shields within a fraction of a second. As he screams, the sound-waves coming from his mouth start destroying everything around him except for Strange who tries his best to make sure his shield doesn't break.
As he screams, Strange realizes he has no way of saving Black Bolt from Wanda's mind control as the spell is just too strong. Black Bolt ends up screaming for about 40 seconds before he finally runs out of energy, which it turns out is his weakness as he now has to wait a few seconds before channeling enough power to scream at him once more.
STRANGE:
It's too late, I can't save him.
While Black Bolt is weakened, Christine walks out from the portal and hands Stephen a grenade, making him realize what he has to do. As he begins channeling his energy, Strange prepares to throw the grenade right towards Black Bolt but is stopped after Christine advises him to pull the pin first.
838 CHRISTINE
You have to pull the pin out first.
Strange knows what he's doing is wrong but unfortunately, he has no other choice other than risking the deaths of him and his allies. Slowly, he pulls the pin from the grenade and removes the shield in front of him before apologizing to him in advance.
STRANGE:
Blackagar Boltagon, if you're still in there, I'm sorry.
The moment Black Bolt opens his mouth, Strange tosses the grenade right at him as lands it right in his mouth. Immediately, Strange closes the portal behind him after Christine walks through it and watches as Black Bolt's noggin blows apart into millions of pieces off-screen, sending large chunks of his brain flying right towards Strange as his headless body falls to the ground, traumatizing him.
After seeing what he just saw, Strange stares at the camera in horror with blood splattered all over his face. He stares for about 30 seconds before we cut to the next scene.
CUT TO:
INT. WARTIME BUNKER - SAME TIME
Finally, Christine and Chavez are seen entering an old war-time bunker with helmets and grenades lying on the desks.
838 CHRISTINE
The book's through here, but only Stephen's ever opened it.
At the same time, Strange can be seen entering the room through a portal, still traumatized after what he had just seen.
838 CHRISTINE
Hey, Stephen. Are you alright?
Strange says nothing, he just stares directly across while Chavez and Christine start to grow worried, so she grabs his arm and shakes it.
838 CHRISTINE
STEPHEN.
Finally, Strange looks over at her and responds.
STRANGE:
Anxious

STRANGE:

Yes, of course.
He walks towards the bunker door and sees a wheel right in the middle of it. Immediately, he tuts his fingers into a diamond and spreads them apart, lighting up the eye of Agomotto as he tries opening the door with his magic but fails.
STRANGE:
Under his breath
Sh*t.
He does the same thing again, only to fail once more. After that, he rubs his hands together and thinks as hard as he can to come up with a spell only he would know.
STRANGE:
An enchantment that's specific to me, something only I would know.
As he is thinking, Christine sees a watch shaped hole dented at the centre of a wheel and immediately figures it out.
838 CHRISTINE
Stephen.
Strange ignores her as he is too focused on thinking.
838 CHRISTINE
Louder
Stephen!
Finally, he diverts his attention towards Christine, waiting to hear what she has to say. She gently taps on his watch strapped to his right hand. Immediately, he looks over at the watch and figures it out as well.
STRANGE:
Thank you.
Slowly, he unstraps his watch and fits it into the watch shaped hole. Immediately, the wheel starts rotating on it's own as the door finally opens up, leading us right to the gap junction.
As we enter the gap junction, the camera pans around and we see that the revolving platform holding the book of Vishanti is positioned right across from them. Unknowingly, it appears they are standing behind a floating doorway that is slowly spinning around.
Strange rests both of his hands onto the door jambs as he prepares to make the jump, seconds before letting go and landing right onto the platform. After flawlessly landing, he looks up and towards Chavez and Christine who are still standing behind the doorway.
STRANGE:
C'mon guys, you got this.
Christine looks over at Chavez, who assures her.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Yeah.
She takes a few steps forward and without hesitation, jumps off and lands onto the platform, followed by Christine who does the same.
838 CHRISTINE
Yeah.
As she jumps, Strange holds out his hands, catching her unless she trips. With all three of them now on the platform, they make their way towards the book.
838 CHRISTINE
This is the gap junction, the space between universes.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
This is also where MY Doctor Strange was killed, saving me.
As Strange walks up onto the podium, he slowly picks up the book and removes it from the stand. As he turns around, he is shocked to his senses to Wanda, standing right across the platform, holding Chavez hostage by lifting her up by the hair and covering her mouth with her hand. Meanwhile, Christine turns around and sees what's going on.
838 CHRISTINE
NO!
Immediately, she races towards Wanda but is stopped when Strange grabs her by the left arm and pulls her back.
In response, Wanda throws America right off the platform, making her fall into the endless void as Strange is forced to go right after her. Immediately, Strange flies off to save Chavez. As he flies down, Wanda lifts a giant piece of floating rubble and horizontally flies it right towards Strange, knocking him away.
After that, she flies all the way down and catches Chavez mid air with her bare hands before flying all the way to another floating platform lying right across.
As they land onto the lower platform, Wanda lifts Chavez with her bare hands before doing her weird magical hand gestures and mind controlling her into opening up a star shaped portal right in front of them which leads right towards the Darkhold Castle, where her real body can be seen levitating on the Altar.
Without hesitation, Wanda throws Chavez right through the portal the second it opens up, making her land face flat onto the ground.
INT/EXT. DARKHOLD CASTLE - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Immediately, Chavez picks herself up and finds herself lying in front of Wanda who is still dream-walking while accompanied by 4 demonic creatures. Deep down, she knows she is doomed either way for if he hops back into the portal, Wanda will capture her using 838 Wanda's body, if she chooses to stay, Wanda will capture her while in her real body.
CUT TO:
Meanwhile, Strange gets up after being knocked down and finds himself on another piece of wreckage. Immediately, he sees what Wanda is doing and decides to act fast. Without hesitation, he flies right towards the star shaped portal. Wanda turns around and tries to stop him but fails as he is able to land right through it just before it closes.
INT/EXT. DARKHOLD CASTLE - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
As he finally makes his way back to the real world, he stands up and sees Wong restrained against the wall while America is nowhere to be found. Eventually, Wanda opens up her eyes and sees only Strange lying right across her, realizing America has disappeared.
WANDA:
Where did she-
STRANGE:
She's gone. She's gone, because of you.
Immediately, the 4 demonic creatures make their way towards Strange in an intimidating fashion. Frightened, Strange flies backwards and without even knowing it, he uses his magical abilities to immediately send all 4 of the creatures into the mirror dimension.
Shocked, Wanda immediately stops levitating and stands onto the altar, only to realize she made the same mistake twice as the tiles beneath her start rotating, followed by the castle.
INT. MIRROR DIMENSION
Not willing to cut herself again, Wanda immediately fires at Strange who vanishes into thin air while the beam deflects off the mirror dimension walls, realizing she has fallen into the same trap once more.
INT/EXT. DARKHOLD CASTLE - SAME TIME
We cut to Wong who is kneeling unconscious with his hands still tied to the walls. Suddenly, Strange flies up towards the mountian frees Wong using his eldritch magic, making him fall on his face and regain consciousness.
As he wakes up, Wong finds himself lying in front of Strange while neither Wanda nor America are anywhere to be seen. Strange grabs Wong's hand and slowly lifts him off the ground, preparing to tell him everything that happened.
WONG:
Strange? What happened? Where's-
STRANGE:
She's gone, for now. I'll tell you about it when we get back, c'mon.
CUT TO:
EXT. NEW YORK SANCTUM - NIGHT - MOMENT LATER
We cut to New York where we get an exterior shot of the Sanctum Sanctorum.
WONG:
Off Camera
You found the book of Vishanti?
INT. SANCTUM SANCTORUM - SAME TIME
Inside, both Wong and Strange are in the lounge sitting on chairs in front of each other while having a glass of beer as they speak.
STRANGE:
Yeah, but it wasn't easy there was this tunnel that led us right to the gap junction. I thought we would get to the book on time, but Wanda caught up and that's how I ended up back here.
WONG:
STRANGE:
She's gone, fell right into one of her portals. I tried to stop her but it was too late. Now, god knows where she is now.
Wong looks at Strange in silence as he sips on his drink.
STRANGE:
You know, back when we were in that universe. There was this group of heroes, just like here we have the Avengers, there it's 'The Illuminati'. One of them could stretch their arms and legs really far apart, another was the female version of Rogers. Funny enough, I used to be the leader, until it turns out I was secretly using the Darkhold to try and stop Thanos. For that, I had to die. The guy that killed me, his name was Black Bolt. While we were escaping, I turned around and saw him slowly walking towards us while under mind control. As soon as I saw him, I knew it was too late and I knew I couldn't save him, so I did what I had to do, I threw a grenade and blew him apart.
Strange slowly begins to tear up as a result of his trauma but is able to hold back his tears while rubbing his fingers together in anxiety.
STRANGE:
You know, I can still keep hearing the, uh... The- The sudden 'BOOM', like it keeps ringing in my hear over and over again and like it just won't stop. Like those chickens that run around for 20 minutes after losing their head.
He sits down in silence as he tries to recover from his trauma before finally continuing his speech.
STRANGE:
Either way, it doesn't matter. They're all dead. I tried to warn them, but they did not listen. Before they died, they told me something important. Turns out I caused a splinter in reality, and that I needed the book of Vishanti in order to fix it.
WONG:
You caused a splinter in reality?
STRANGE:
Yeah.
WONG:
How?
STRANGE:
Honestly, I have no idea. They said it happened while I was fighting with Wanda inside the mirror dimension, back at Kamar-Taj. Trust me, I don't even know how I did it, all I can remember is that I was trying to trap her inside the mirror dimension when next thing I know I'm falling through different universes while having torn the borders between universes. It wasn't my fault, I swear.
WONG:
I don't care whose fault it is or how it happened, you opened the doorway between countless universes. Each being far bigger, far more dangerous than the one we live in, and we don't know who or what might walk through it.
STRANGE:
What do you know of the book of Vishanti? One of them told me I can use it to reverse the spell.
WONG:
I can tell you, even though I'm not allowed to say anything.
Strange leans over and hears what Wong has to say about the book.
WONG:
There is a secret underground dungeon, similar to the one in THAT universe, from there it can take you right into the gap junction. It's in Egypt, way far from here. I can give you the coordinates, but you'll have to be very careful. You can't explore other areas, you have to get back immediately.
STRANGE:
I can do that, it's not a problem. Besides, I'll be back before you even know it. Even if I don't, don't try to come looking for me, I'll figure it out someway, like I always do.
WONG:
Try as you might, you cannot control everything, Strange.
STRANGE:
I know, I figured it out the day I gave up the time stone to Thanos.
Strange finally finishes his beer and puts it down as he starts to get drunk before deciding to confront Wong on how Wanda discovered the castle.
STRANGE:
But what I haven't quite figured out yet, is how she made it to the castle.
He looks over at Wong, serious.
STRANGE:
And don't try telling me she figured it out, somebody must've told her. Someone with, I don't know, thousands of years worth of Magical knowledge, maybe? Don't you dare try to deny it.
Realizing he no longer has a choice, Wong decides to come clean and tell Strange the truth.
WONG:
Strange, she burned a man alive, right in front of me. She was going to kill the surviving sorcerers unless I told her where to find it. I didn't want to, but I had no choice.
Strange continues drinking as he hears what Wong has to say and begins to lose all trust in his friend as he used to see him as a hero but now sees him as nothing more than a coward. Finally, stops holding back his feelings and scolds him.
STRANGE:
Of course you didn't, 'Sorcerer Supreme' yet you can't even keep a single secret. Maybe if you just kept your mouth shut, Black Bolt and all those other heroes from that world would still be alive. Instead, you decided to save 4 low-life sorcerers just so you wouldn't get your hands dirty yet 5 innocent heroes have to die because of your incompetence.
Strange stands up and places his drink on the table in front of them before a portal opens up behinds him.
STRANGE:
You know what? I wonder why I ever trusted you to begin with.
Before he walks into the portal, he turns around and gives Wong some advice.
STRANGE:
When I'm gone, don't come looking for me. If I don't come back, don't go after the Darkhold. Even if you do, I don't care.
Without another word, Strange walks right into the portal before it closes, leaving Wong in shock as he can't believe his own friend had just insulted him like that.
CUT TO:
EXT. EGYPTIAN LANSCAPE - NIGHT
We cut to an exterior shot of the Egyptian landscape where it also night time over there.
CUT TO:
INT. ABANDONED EGYPTIAN DUNGEON - SAME TIME
Finally, we cut to the inside of a dark, and abandoned dungeon in Egypt where Strange is seen walking out of his portal before looking around the area. He ends up searching for a good 30 seconds before finally finding a circular portal gate standing right at the centre, carved entirely out of stone.
Immediately, he sees several rune shaped holes marked dented in the stone and decides to get to work. He begins conjuring magical runes by speaking in the Arabic language before they fly right into the marked areas. It takes a few seconds but it works and we see the portal open up a purplish vortex.
STRANGE:
Under his breath
No way.
Strange decides to take a deep breath before walking right through the vortex.
EXT. GAP JUNCTION - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
As he walks out, he finds himself back inside the Gap junction while the same circular portal gate rests behind him, unopened. He looks across and sees Christine standing patiently on the rotating platform with the book of Vishanti still in her hands.
Immediately, he flies off towards the platform and watches as she turns around and runs straight towards him, relieved that he's finally returned.
STRANGE:
Hey, you alright?
838 CHRISTINE
Yeah.
STRANGE:
Hey, listen. Your Wanda, did she try to uh-
838 CHRISTINE
Nope, she just got up, looked at me and left right through that door.
She points towards the floating door that leads us back to Earth-838.
838 CHRISTINE
Oh, yeah. I almost forgot. I held onto it while I waited for you to come back
She hands him the book of Vishanti
STRANGE:
Thank you
The minute Strange gets the book in his hands, another giant tentacled squid monster, similar to the one we saw at that wedding in New York, comes crashing down out of nowhere and immediately starts flying right towards Strange. Immediately, Strange reacts by conjuring a giant magical shield while the book is still in his hands while demanding Christine to return back to her universe as it is no longer safe here.
STRANGE:
GO! IT'S NOT SAFE HERE! I'LL COME BACK FOR YOU, I PROMISE.
Without hesitation, Strange's cloak lifts Christine off the ground and towards the floating doorway as Strange straps the book onto his belt.
While he does that, the monster punches right through his magical shield with its tentacle and wraps it around him, lifting him off the ground before banging him against the ground several times, pounding him so hard that the floating pieces of wreckage around them start drifting apart, eventually knocking him out.
Meanwhile, Strange's cloak sees what the creature is doing and immediately flies towards it after dropping off Christine, who is forced to watch in horror as the creature creates another vortex with it's tentacle by spinning it around a few times before throwing Strange right into it as the cloak flies in at the last second.
INT/EXT. VARIOUS DIMENSIONS - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
As a result of this, Strange is sent flying through multiple universes at lightning speed as his cloak tries its best to catch up to him.
CUT TO:
EXT. ABANDONED ROOFTOP - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Ultimately, Strange falls out of the vortex and ends up landing in another universe along with his cloak which slaps him in the face as hard as it can until he finally wakes up from his coma. Eventually, Strange lifts himself up and finds himself on an abandoned rooftop parallel to the one in 838.
Slowly, he looks over at the parapet wall and is shocked to see that the bricks are suddenly floating off the wall and crumbling into thin air. He looks even further and sees that the whole city is disintegrating as every single one of the buildings are slowly disintegrating into multiple black strands of ooze, as if reality collapsed in on itself.
STRANGE:
Under his breath
Oh my god.
CUT TO:
We cut to a landscape of the Transian alps where a portal can be seen opening in the bottom of Wundagore Mountain on a random ledge with Wong walking right out of as his sling ring doesn't allow him to teleport inside the castle. It turns out he disobeyed Strange's orders and decided to go after the Darkhold anyways.
To begin, he starts by conjuring up a magical knife rope and spins it around before lassoing it towards the edge of the platform, successfully grappling it between two rocks. After that, he begins climbing up the mountain using his feet while grappling onto the rope in an attempt to reach the castle.
As he is climbing, a sudden cloudburst occurs and large drops of rain begin falling from the sky. Conveniently, some parts of the rain end up falling right onto the floor of the Darkhold castle, creating a puddle.
As a result of this, Wanda's eye immediately opens up from under the puddle as her hand begins sticking right out. It turns out the puddle created a reflection, giving her a way to successfully escape from the mirror dimension.
CUT TO:
EXT. ALLEYWAY - DISINTEGRATING UNIVERSE - DAY
We cut back to the disintegrating universe where Strange can be walking out of an alleyway and into an abandoned city as he looks around and sees literally every building in front of him is collapsing into strands of ooze.
STRANGE:
Oh, no. Oh, CHRIST!
Without hesitation, Strange walks onto the street and sees multiple floating cars, benches, even street lamps just hovering around him as he searches for the Sanctum.
It takes a while but eventually, Strange finds himself lost in a creepy, dark forest. As he walks out of the mist, he stops to see an old, run down cabin lying right in front of him. Slowly, he conjures a magical axe out of thin air and prepares to face whoever is living inside the cabin before he is stopped by an unknown voice.
UNKNOWN VOICE:
HANDS!
He turns around to see a creepy, disheveled man raising his shotgun right in front of him, threatening to shoot if he doesn't comply.
DISHEVELED MAN:
Drop it.
Immediately, Strange drops the Axe and raises both his hands while the man prepares to ask question.
DISHEVELED MAN:
Who the hell are you?
STRANGE:
I'm just looking for Doctor Strange, you know where I can find him?
DISHEVELED MAN:
Never heard of him
STRANGE:
Well, he's a powerful magician, wears a costume and can fly.
DISHEVELED MAN:
Does he wear a cape?
STRANGE:
Yeah, wait. So you DO know him? That's great, I'm really hoping you can tell me where he is right now so I can-
DISHEVELED MAN:
Not so fast, Mister. I'm gonna need you to answer my question first.
Strange prepares to hear what the man has to say.
DISHEVELED MAN:
Do you know where I can find the Necronomicon?
STRANGE:
What?
DISHEVELED MAN:
It's an ancient book of magic, a grimoire of darkness and evil.
STRANGE:
I'm sorry, I've heard of it.
DISHEVELED MAN:
Then I can't help you.
STRANGE:
Yeah, well. Me neither.
Strange tries to walk away but is stopped after the man c*cks his gun.
DISHEVELED MAN:
Hold it right there!
Strange turns around once more to hear what he has to say.
DISHEVELED MAN:
Tell me your name.
STRANGE:
Doctor Stephen Strange-
DISHEVELED MAN:
BULLSHIT! Tell me your REAL name.
STRANGE:
I am Doctor Stephen Strange, from Earth 199999 and I don't wanna fight you. Now you're gonna let me go, unless you wanna-
Before he can finish his speech, he is cut off mid sentence.
DISHEVELED MAN:
Loading his gun
Wrong Answer!
Immediately, the man fires his shotgun but is surprised when nothing comes out.
DISHEVELED MAN:
What the- I just loaded it...
Fed up, Strange decides to walk away while the man tries fixing his gun. It turns out Strange was the one who disabled his gun and waits a few seconds before making the gun explode right in front of the man's face.
DISHEVELED MAN:
YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST WALK AWAY FROM ME LIKE THIS, HUH? I'LL SHOW YOU...
A few moments later, Strange finally finds the Sanctum. Just like everything else, this universe's Sanctum is also slowly disintegrating into strands of ooze.
He looks over at the window and sees this universe's Strange standing right in front of it, confirming that he still exists in this dying universe. He looks to the left and sees a creepy, abandoned swing lying right next to the building. Slowly, he walks up towards the Sanctum and up the steps as he sees a dead crow lying impaled on the fence, foreshadowing future events.
INT. DISINTEGRATING SANCTUM - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Immediately, the door opens up on its own as Strange enters the building and sees nothing but a long flight of stairs surrounded by an empty void with only a giant red moon glowing from behind.
Slowly, he walks up the steps and makes his way to the top floor where he finds the whole room is dark and empty with nothing inside except broken down antiques lying on the tables along with a big bottle of alcohol with 3 lines of cocaine lying right beside it.
STRANGE:
Hello
He searches for this universe's Strange by alerting him of his presence. Unfortunately, he doesn't show himself.
STRANGE:
It's just me, I'm alone.
Suddenly, he hears a familiar voice coming from across the room.
SINISTER STRANGE
Off camera
Stop where you are.
He looks over and sees a darker, more twisted version of himself standing on top of the steps, only difference is he has a goatee and is wearing dark eyeliner. He watches as he places his hand onto the railing and begins confronting him.
SINISTER STRANGE
How did you get here?
STRANGE:
By accident.
SINISTER STRANGE
Who are you, what... are you?
STRANGE:
I'm just one of us-
SINISTER STRANGE
From the Multiverse?
STRANGE:
Yeah, that's right.
SINISTER STRANGE
Prove it.
Strange is confused as to why Sinister Strange is asking him to confirm his identity and immediately confront him on it.
STRANGE:
I just saw you looking at me through the window, can you not act like such an idiot?
Sinister Strange slowly walks down the steps and walks across towards the other side of the room.
STRANGE:
I suppose your reality wasn't always like this.
SINISTER STRANGE
I suspect it was somewhat like yours, until...
STRANGE:
Until?
SINISTER STRANGE
Until I lost...
STRANGE:
Lost what?
Sinister Strange turns around and looks at Strange before confronting him.
SINISTER STRANGE
What do you want?
STRANGE:
I just want-
SINISTER STRANGE
To get home? Yeah, believe me. I've been trying to do that for a really long time.
He grabs onto the Darkhold that is strapped onto his belt as it starts glowing bright red with his fingertips all painted in black. Immediately, Strange sees the Darkhold in his hands and begins confronting him on it.
STRANGE:
The Darkhold, you guard the Darkhold in this universe?
SINISTER STRANGE
Yeah, for good reason.
STRANGE:
Then that's a start. Look, I don't know you and you don't know me. And I'm sorry that you couldn't save your universe but I was thinking maybe you could help to save mine?
Without answering his question, Sinister Strange starts to walk backwards.
SINISTER STRANGE
Are you happy, Stephen?
STRANGE:
What?
Sinister Strange turns around and starts walking towards the glass window, past the candelabras.
SINISTER STRANGE
Are. You. Happy. Stephen?
He looks into the window, questioning his decisions.
SINISTER STRANGE
It's the question that Christine Palmer asked me on her wedding day.
He turns around and lets out a forced smile before he walks over towards Strange.
SINISTER STRANGE
I said yes, of course I'm happy. I'm a powerful sorcerer with the power of gods in the palm of my hand. I can travel from here to tokyo within a few seconds, heck I defeated Thanos all by myself. After that, who wouldn't be happy?
His smile slowly begins to fade.
SINISTER STRANGE
Then, I came back to this goddamn haunted house. Sat down, and started wondering why I'd lied. I was only looking for a world where things were different, where I had Christine, where I was happy. But I never did? Did I? All I found were more of us, so I did those Stephens a favor and that's how it all started.
STRANGE:
How what Started?
SINISTER STRANGE
Things just got out of hand.
Strange looks at him in confusion before remembering what 838 Stephen had said, immediately figuring it out.
STRANGE:
It's you. You're 838 Stephen Strange, right?
SINISTER STRANGE
Correct.
STRANGE:
Wow, it took me a while but I knew you weren't dead.
SINISTER STRANGE
That's right.
STRANGE:
So how did you end up here? Wherever here is...
SINISTER STRANGE
I split the timeline, creating a whole new reality. It was then I realized my mistake, but it was too late.
He pauses for a moment.
SINISTER STRANGE
You know, I was there that day, the day we had finally defeated Thanos. Or, perhaps, the day I defeated Thanos, alone. Y'know, how is it fair that I get to be the one who defeats Thanos yet I am the one who has to pay? In what way is that fair?
STRANGE:
Yeah, well. I can see why they felt like that.
Offended, Sinister Strange turns around and looks at Strange, ordering him to repeat his last sentence.
SINISTER STRANGE
What did you just say?
STRANGE:
I was just saying that-
SINISTER STRANGE
No, no, no. Tell me.
The room stays silent for a moment, before Sinister Strange speaks up.
SINISTER STRANGE
You know what, now that I think about it. I'm glad they're dead, they were weak, useless.
STRANGE:
Why would you say that about them? They were your friends! They were good people!
SINISTER STRANGE
It's not like I ever needed their help, they were weak. I defeated Thanos, just me, nobody else. And what do you mean? "Good people"? They were going to kill you, If it wasn't for me, right now you would be dead, executed with your head hanging from a stick. I did that, Wanda breaking out of her cell, that was me.
STRANGE:
Break her out of her cell? That was you?
SINISTER STRANGE
Isn't it obvious? You don't think SHE is the only one who can summon creatures from another universe can she?
Strange looks at him, shocked to realize it was him who led to the deaths of all the illuminati members.
SINISTER STRANGE
Y'know that reminds me, you ever had that dream where you're falling as if you've been pushed off a tall building?
Strange looks at him in fear.
SINISTER STRANGE
That was probably me.
Immediately, a third eye pops out from Sinister Strange's forehead, revealing his true form. Strange immediately sees the walls start to crumble as he realizes the person he used to look up to is now a fraud.
STRANGE:
Frightened
No.
SINISTER STRANGE
The Darkhold exacts a heavy toll.
STRANGE:
Okay, only a reason to give it a rest and let me use the Darkhold for a bit.
Strange lifts his hand and requests him to give up the Darkhold.
SINISTER STRANGE
Here's the deal. I'll let you use the Darkhold, if you give me the book of VIshanti.
STRANGE:
Yeah, I don't think we're gonna go for that. To after what you just did, no.
SINISTER STRANGE
No? Why not?
STRANGE:
Confident
Because you're a liar, and a murderer. You let your friends die out of what? Revenge?
SINISTER STRANGE
Hey, I did you a favor-
STRANGE:
SHUT UP! I'M NEVER GONNA TRUST YOU AGAIN, YOU DESERVE TO BE DEAD FOR WHAT YOU DID, YOU HEARING ME?
SINISTER STRANGE
I hear you loud and clear, and I cannot let you interfere.
Without hesitation, Strange grabs onto the Darkhold strapped onto Sinister Strange and tries to pull it off him. Immediately, Sinister Strange reacts by pulling it backwards, creating a tug-o-war.
Finally, Sinister Strange decides to break the stalemate by head-butting strange and lifting him by the waist before throwing him across the room, making him bounce off the piano.
Strange places his hand onto the piano in an attempt to steady himself and immediately gets an idea. He sees all the flying music sheets slowly fall into the sky and catches them mid air before turning them into real life music notes and flying them towards Sinister Strange with his magic.
Immediately, Sinister Strange is able to dodge all of the attacks by tilting left, making the music notes damage the pillar behind him. After that, he begins a counterattack by converting all of Strange's music notes into his own dark magic, pushing it towards him.
Luckily, Strange is able to deflect the attack at the last second with his shields but still gets pushed back, causing multiple copies of him to almost fly out of his body before Strange converts all of Sinister Strange's dark magic notes into a big orb of magic before turning into a giant sheet, pushing it towards him.
Immediately, Sinister Strange reacts by converting Strange's sheet music into his own dark magic before spinning them into a big orb and shooting them at Strange. As a result of this, the chess set on the table between them begins falling onto the floor as a result of their clashing.
Strange tries his best to shield himself from the attacks using a giant music sheet before he ultimately fails and ends up getting knocked back against the wall before falling to the ground. After successfully having defeated Strange, Sinister Strange walks up to him and kicks him in the face when he tries to lift himself up, knocking him out.
He retrieves his Sling Ring from Strange's finger before slowly realizing it's his.
SINISTER STRANGE
Is that... My sling ring?
Without hesitation, he puts the ring onto his two fingers before retrieving the book from Strange's belt and then turning around to examine it.
Meanwhile, Strange wakes up after getting knocked out and immediately gets an idea. He remembers he still has the grenade from the old wartime bunker as he grabs it out of his pocket and slowly pulls the pin before immediately throwing it towards Sinister Strange who turns around to see what's going on but is too late.
EXT. DISINTEGRATING SANCTUM - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Immediately, a huge explosion sets off with Strange getting up and catching the book of Vishanti while Sinister Strange falls right through the glass window and begins yelling in fear as he fall out of the building before landing on the fence-post and getting impaled right through the chest, lying dead with both his eyes open.
INT. DISINTEGRATING SANCTUM - SAME TIME
After successfully catching the book, Strange slowly lifts himself up and walks towards the window, realizing that he had just killed Sinister Strange
STRANGE:
Under his breath
Good Riddance.
He watches as his cloak flies out the window and goes to retrieve the Darkhold and Sling Ring from Sinister Strange's corpse while Strange walks up the staircase after hearing loud banging noises.
As he walks up the stairs, he finds himself in Sinister Strange's bedroom and is shocked to see none other than America Chavez trapped inside the bedroom mirror, kicking the screen in an attempt to escape. Immediately, Strange gets her out by reversing the mirror dimension spell, watching as she falls out.
STRANGE:
Hey, you alright?
It turns out the same person he was looking for has been here all along.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Yeah.
STRANGE:
How did you even get here?
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
He told me to come inside, said I would be safe. Where's Wanda?
STRANGE:
She's in the mirror dimension. She's not coming back, for now at least.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
So, does that mean it's over?
STRANGE:
Nope, not even close.
Strange walks down the stairs as America follows.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
What do you mean?
STRANGE:
There's still the spell, we need to go and fix it. But since you can't control your powers, we'll be stuck here for a while.
Finally, Strange's cloak flies into the room while carrying both the Darkhold and 838 Stephen's sling ring within itself. Strange catches the Darkhold and immediately reads it before slamming it onto the ground as he summons multiple red orbs from it before spinning them around. He looks into one of the holographic orbs and sees Wanda levitating in the Darkhold castle after presumably having escaped the mirror dimension.
STRANGE:
Under his breath
No, no no not now.
Immediately, he slams his fist into the book as all the red orbs fly right into it. Slowly, he starts to spread his hands across the pages as Chavez finally walks down the stairs and confronts him.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
What are you doing with the Darkhold.
Strange ignores as he is way more focused on stopping Wanda.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Stephen!
Strange finally looks over and hears what she has to say.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
What are you doing with the Darkhold? Are you trying to Dreamwalk?
STRANGE:
It's a little more than just dreamwalking.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
All those Stranges, you're the same.
STRANGE:
I know, and you're right. We are all the same, there's no denying it. But right now, the fate of the multiverse depends on us and I can't do this without any of your help.
Chavez looks over, wondering why he needs her help.
STRANGE:
While I'm gone, I'm gonna need you to protect my body in case they attack me for trespassing.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
And who is "They"?
STRANGE:
The souls of the damned.
Without another word, Strange starts drifting all the candles lying across the room and forms them all into one big circle. After that, he lights them all up using his magic by simply rotating his hands. After that, he slowly lifts himself off the ground while doing satanic hand gestures before closing his eyes.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Okay, but isn't another version of you supposed to be alive in that universe?
Strange opens his left eye and looks at her.
STRANGE:
Who said they had to be living?
CUT TO:
INT/EXT. DARK ALLEYWAY - NEW YORK - SAME TIME
Immediately, the camera cuts to the dark alleyway at the start of the film where it's night time, we watch as Defender Strange's eyes open up before he punches out of the concrete with his skeleton popping out from underneath.
CUT TO:
INT. DISINTEGRATING SANCTUM - SAME TIME
America watches in horror as Strange begins dream-walking for the first time.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
You don't have to do this, please. There has to be another way.
STRANGE:
No, this is the only way.
CUT TO:
EXT/INT. DARK ALLEYWAY - NEW YORK - SAME TIME
Slowly, we watch as Strange starts taking his first steps in Defender Strange's body and we watch as he spins his hand in circles, creating a portal using his sling ring.
DISSOLVE TO:
EXT. TRANSIAN ALPS - DAY - MOMENTS LATER
Slowly, the camera dissolves a snowy background where multiple footprints can be traced on the ground before the camera pans up and reveals Strange walking onto the ledge of the mountain.
The camera turns around and shows us his face all zombified as he twists his neck to maintain stability. As he looks over, he sees the Darkhold castle right across from the very mountain he stands upon.
Suddenly, his right hand starts crackling by itself as multiple demonic spirits come flying out of it before they start flying around him.
Stephen Strange, possessing a dead body is forbidden. (Forbidden)
TRESPASSER!
Cease your dreamwalk, or face the eternal consequences.
Suddenly, the spirits start grabbing him and make him fall onto his knees. Strange watches in horror as the camera zooms into his eyeball.
CUT TO:
INT. DISINTEGRATING SANCTUM - SAME TIME
We cut back to the Sanctum where America is doing the best she can to hold onto Strange.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Don't worry, I've got you
BACK TO:
EXT. TRANSIAN ALPS - SAME TIME
Back to the mountain, Strange opens up his eye and is able to blast all the Spirits away before standing up and using his magic to drag them all together and combining them into a big ball before turning them into a living cloak. They try their hardest to escape but it's no use as they are now one with the cloak.
After successfully defeating the spirits, Strange uses them as a cloak to fly all the way to the Darkhold castle.
CUT TO:
INT/EXT. DARKHOLD CASTLE - SAME TIME
We cut to the Darkhold Castle, where Wanda is seen levitating on the altar after successfully escaping the mirror dimension. Suddenly, 4 of the demonic entities appear out of nowhere, it is unclear how they escaped the mirror dimension all we know is that they are back. Immediately, they whisper into Wanda's ear alerting her of Strange's presence.
In response, Wanda opens her eyes and lifts herself up while her monsters slowly walk towards the cliff and ready their magic as they prepare to knock Strange out of the sky. Before they can proceed, one of the creatures is impaled right through the chin by Wong's magic knife rope.
The camera cuts to Wong, who is seen still climbing up the mountain as he yanks the rope towards him and makes the creature lose all his life support before falling down the mountain. As a result of this, Wong is forced to let go of the rope unless he wants to fall with the creature.
WONG:
Come on!
One by one, 3 more creatures start moving in front of the ledge as they look down at Wong, making him realize his mistake.
WONG:
Uh, oh.
Slowly, each of the creatures begin lifting up giant rocks before throwing them right at Wong, who immediately reacts by conjuring a shield right above him but it's no use since it breaks within the first him. He watches as two other creatures throw their rocks and closes his eyes as he prepares to accept his fate.
A few seconds later, he opens his eyes and sees all 3 of the monsters falling right off the cliff as he looks over and sees Zombie Strange right in front of him, revealing himself to Wong, who is horrified to see him dream-walking into Defender Strange's corpse
WONG:
Frightened
STRANGE!
Immediately, Strange turns around and sees Wanda standing right behind the altar before she rushes towards him.
WANDA:
Dreamwalking, you son of a b*tch.
Without hesitation, she fires her chaos beam right at Strange, who shields himself using the spirits who absorb all her magic. Finally, Strange unveils his cloak and confronts Wanda.
ZOMBIE STRANGE:
This time it's gonna take more than killing me to kill me.
INT. DISINTEGRATING SANCTUM - SAME TIME
Cut to the disintegrating Sanctum where America raises her eyes after hearing what Strange had just said.
INT/EXT. DARKHOLD CASTLE - SAME TIME
Back to the Darkhold castle where Strange begins his fight with Wanda as he races towards her while she fires another beam at him, which he dodges by flipping and without hesitation, he flies the spirits right towards Wanda, successfully incapacitating her after so long.
Wanda watches in horror as the spirits begin flying around her, judging her decisions.
MURDERER!
MURDERER!
Slowly, the camera zooms into Wanda's eyeball as she sees the spirits entering her soul. Cut back to Strange who is doing all that he can to make sure Wanda doesn't break free from the spirits, he turns around to see Wong finally here after climbing up the mountain.
WONG:
I don't even wanna know.
Strange nods to himself before demanding Wong to leave the are immediately.
ZOMBIE STRANGE:
Listen, you need to get out of here right now, you understand? Go back to the Sanctum, I can handle this.
Wong hesitates, he doesn't care how confident Strange may be, he refuses to abandon his friend.
ZOMBIE STRANGE:
I'm sorry for what I said, but you need to leave right now, you understand? I'm not gonna-
Before Strange can say another word, Wanda manages to break free by creating a magical shock-wave with her magic, causing all the spirits to fly away while Strange and Wong end up tumbling down after losing control. Strange tries his best to stop Wong from falling off the cliff by crawling over to him in an attempt to hold him back but fails as he is forced to watch him die from falling into the abyss.
ZOMBIE STRANGE:
NO!
Immediately, Strange turns towards Wanda who lifts him up and flies him onto the Altar. Slowly, she walks over to the Altar and starts torturing him with her magic while the souls fly directly into his body as the camera zooms into his eyeballs.
DISSOLVE TO:
INT. BLACK VOID - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Shortly, the camera dissolves to a dark and empty void with Strange being pulled into a black pool of ooze by the spirits. After that, the camera dissolves to a dark, hellish all-black landscape.
Strange looks over and sees a creepy looking throne made entirely of skulls. Suddenly, a tall and buff looking demon appears on the throne out of thin air, greeting him.
MEPHISTO:
Stephen Strange! Welcome.
STRANGE:
Frightened
Why? What-What happened?
MEPHISTO:
It appears you have violted the Darkhold's principles, for that you will pay.
STRANGE:
Pay? What do you mean, pay?
MEPHISTO:
Well, didn't you hear the first time? Possession of a dead body is indeed forbidden, the only reason I'm still giving you a chance is because you're-
STRANGE:
Wait, you're still giving me a chance to-
MEPHISTO:
Speak only when you're spoken to, Sorcerer. I'm giving you two options, abandon the Darkhold and cease your Dreamwalking, or stay and suffer the eternal consequences. If you have anything to say, say it now.
STRANGE:
Begging
Please, just give me a chance, please. There's this girl, she is accidentally going to destroy everything if I don't help out. Without me, people will die, billions.
MEPHISTO:
As if that's supposed to matter to me? You didn't think you would be able to trespass without being punished did you? I have no wish to kill you, sorcerer. That's why I've given you the choice, leave now or die, the choice is yours.
Mephisto prepares to snap his fingers as Strange tries his best to change his mind.
STRANGE:
No! No, no, no, no, no-
Before Strange can say another word, Mephisto snaps his fingers and immediately turns him into dust. Slowly, the screen once again dissolves into this dark and empty void before Strange pokes his hand out and we cut back to the destroyed sanctum where he is lying on the floor after having been defeated so quickly.
INT. DISINTEGRATING SANCTUM - IMMEDIATELY AFTER.
Immediately, Chavez grabs onto Strange's hand as she tries to pull him off the ground but accidentally touches his forehead and burns herself.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Aah!
After that, she tries to wake him up. She starts off by taking his pulse as it appears he's still alive.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Hang on, I've got you.
She opens up his eyelid, shocked when one of the spirits comes flying right out of his pupil, knocking her down. Immediately, the creature starts flying towards her but she is able to hold it back with her raw strength. It tries its best to bite her but it's no use since it is way too far apart.
Suddenly, 2 other spirits come flying out of his body as well. Luckily, she is able to kick one of the spirits and send them flying right into the grand clock, knocking it down.
Immediately, she stands up and sees 2 of the spirits attacking Strange's body while he lies on the floor unconscious. She looks to her right and sees a mystic looking brazier inside the glass case, she tries to break it with her hand but ends up injuring herself as the glass is way too strong.
Improvising, she races towards the Darkhold and picks it up before she looks for a way to destroy it without hurting herself. Unfortunately, the 2 spirits come flying right towards her and without a second to think, she throws the Darkhold right out the window as it lands right on the fence next to Sinister Strange's corpse, destroying it.
As a result of this, the 2 demons attacking her immediately vaporize into thin air as they begin to crumble into dust. Immediately, she walks over to Strange whose body is shaking, she tries to get him to stop by holding his hand really tight.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
I've got you, it's over. Wake up.
Immediately, both Strange's eyes open up, traumatized as he gets up the very second he wakes up. Scaring her a little bit.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Stephen?
STRANGE:
Your jacket, it's...
He points America towards her jacket after seeing that it's on fire, frightening her. Immediately, she starts hitting it really hard in an attempt to douse the flames but Strange does it quickly with his magic, along with all the candles lying around that are still lit.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Stephen, what happened?
Without responding, Strange lifts himself up and walks over to the glass window to see the Darkhold completely destroyed after being impaled on the fence.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
I had to do it, I didn't have a choice. They were going to kill you.
Strange still doesn't respond, instead he keeps looking through the window.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Stephen, is everything alright? Where's Wong?
Still not saying anything, Strange walks over to the couch and grabs the bottle of beer lying on the table and starts to drink from it.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Please, you have to tell me. What happened? Is Wong Alright? I have to know.
Finally, he puts down the bottle and leans forward in his seat before finally responding in a weaker tone.
STRANGE:
I made a mistake
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
What?
STRANGE:
Wong is dead. It's my own fault, I was trying to save him. I told him to get out, he didn't listen. Next thing I know, he fell right off the cliff...
America looks in shock after realizing Wong had just died. All of a sudden, Strange falls onto the ground unconscious. Immediately, America tries to lift him off the ground and back onto the couch.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Hey, hey, hey. It's ok, it's alright.
Slowly, she escorts him onto the couch before handing him the bottle of beer. She patiently waits for him to start talking as she stands right in front of him.
STRANGE:
You know, one of the last things I ever said to him? "Sometimes I wonder why I trusted you at all". I said that, right to his face.
The two of them sit in silence for a brief moment before America finally speaks up.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
I hope I'm not being rude, but, how are we gonna get out of here.
Offended, Strange immediately gets up off the table and walks towards America before scolding her.
STRANGE:
Frustrated
Are you kidding me? You're 15 years old yet you STILL don't know how to control your powers, so unless you can figure that out someway, then is our new home now. Besides, Wong is dead, The spell still hasn't been fixed and Wanda is still out there looking for us and your main priority is going home? In what world did you come from?
After lashing out all his frustrations on her, he sits back onto the couch while leaning back. America waits a few seconds for him to calm down before giving him a big lecture while the camera slowly zooms in towards his face.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
I'm from the Utopian parallel, a world that is far from here, different from earth. There, I lost my moms in an invasion. I was only 5, I escaped through one of one portals. Since then, I had been stuck traveling through different universes until I accidentally opened up another portal. 6 years I spent like that. Until one day, the other you found me, raised me, showed me what it was like to be a hero. He spent his last dying moments trying to save me. Maybe you don't feel like it now, but in that world YOU were a hero. And I know, that you can-
Before she can finish her speech. Strange stands up and walks over to the table before he puts down his bottle.
STRANGE:
I'm sorry kid.
After that, he walks over to the window and turns around.
STRANGE:
There's only one way we're getting out of here alive.
Chavez looks at him in confusion.
EXT. DISINTEGRATING SANCTUM
Suddenly, the camera cuts to the exterior of the Sanctum as Chavez is seen suddenly falling out through the glass window, it is unclear why she is falling but it might have to do with Strange.
As she is falling, a star shaped portal opens up right beneath her and she falls right into it as Strange looks through the window and falls into it as well.
INT/EXT. VARIOUS DIMENSIONS - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
As a result of this, the two of them begin falling into various dimensions once again before they finally stop.
EXT. GAP JUNCTION - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Eventually, the two of them finally end up falling out of the star shaped portal and into the gap junction as they land on a piece of wreckage.
Across, they see the same rotating platform from earlier in the film positioned right in front of them with Christine nowhere to be found. Without wasting time, Strange immediately flies up to the platform and once he lands, his cloak dismounts itself and flies towards Chavez before lifting her onto the platform as well.
Ultimately, the two of them walk towards the pedestal with Strange unstrapping the book from his belt before placing it onto the podium. Slowly, he begins casting the spell by spreading his hands across the book and summoning a red ring of runes around the podium and reversing the spell.
It takes a while but Strange eventually manages to successfully finish the spell after all this time.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Uh, Stephen?
As soon as he turns around, he is interrupted by Chavez who points to Wanda who is still in 838 Wanda's body standing right across the platform holding Christine hostage as a glowing red aura glows around her neck.
WANDA:
Tilting her head
I warned you.
Inside, Strange is deeply frightened but isn't allowed to overreact as his girlfriend is on the threat of death simply because he refuses to give up the kid. Out of options, Strange decides to give in by looking over at America, ordering her to surrender herself to Wanda.
STRANGE:
I'm sorry kid.
She looks at him, confused as to why he is suddenly betraying her. He nods upwards, ordering her to move forward.
STRANGE:
It's gonna be alright, I promise.
Betrayed, Chavez slowly walks up towards Wanda. While she walks, Strange pushes her forward, making it look like he is on Wanda's side. Without hesitation, she walks over to Wanda and prepares to give herself up as she looks back and sees Strange nodding at her to go forward.
As she is walking, Wanda removes the red aura from Christine's neck and instead aims her chaos beam towards Chavez. The moment she does that, Christine pulls out an electric taser from her packet and immediately stuns Wanda by electrocuting her with it and giving herself a chance to run away with Chavez.
As the two of them run off, they are once again saved by Strange's cloak as it lifts the two of them off the ground and towards the floating doorway as Strange prepares to face Wanda for the last time.
While she is stunned, Strange acts first by lassoing his magical ribbons at her, restraining her. After that, he waits for his cloak to arrive before he starts spinning around her, tying her up.
As he spins around, Wanda is able to free herself by wiggling out her left hand and using her magic to convert the ribbons into chaos magic, loosening them. As a result of this, Strange gets knocked backwards after being forced to lose his grip as Wanda is able to escape from the ribbons before preparing to fight Strange.
She lifts herself into the air and starts firing at Strange who deflects all her attacks with his shield. After that, she fires her lasers at him which he intercepts by conjuring another magic shield.
They stay that way for about 5 seconds before Wanda stops firing, followed by Strange who gets rid of his shield after that she flies right towards Strange in an attempt to bull-rush him but is stopped when he conjures another shield at the last second.
Immediately, Strange pushes the shield further, distancing himself as he prepares to cast another spell. This time he decides to shoot lasers of his own while Wanda does the same, resulting in a tug-o-war. As a result of this, the two of them are once again forced into a stalemate with the odds in nobody's favor.
Eventually, their clashing ends with Wanda choosing to fly right towards Strange in an attempt to send him flying backwards, creating a massive magical shockwave blast that results in the both of them getting sent flying in opposite directions.
Both Strange and Wanda end up landing on the separate platforms while Chavez and Christine watch from above. Finally, Strange struggles to pick himself up and while Wanda has already lifted herself off the ground and begins firing at Strange once again.
Immediately, Strange intercepts all of Wanda's attacks with his magical shields but fails after Wanda flies straight towards him, successfully bull-rushing him this time as he is knocked back onto the ground.
To her advantage, Wanda turns around and flies backwards before using her magic to restrain Stephen by summoning a red aura around both his hands, successfully disabling him from using his magic.
With Strange finally subdued, she lands onto the platform and begins torturing him using her chaos magic as Chavez watches in horror. Strange begins yelling in agony as he is about to get his limbs torn off by a blood lusted Wanda before she looks up and sees America leaping right towards her, seconds before punching her right in the face.
As a result of this, a big star shaped portal opens up right behind where Wanda is standing, knocking her back. It turns out she has finally learned how to control her powers and without hesitation, she punches her once more and creates another star shaped portal.
Again, she punches her 2 times right in the face before kicking her right in the abdomen, knocking her back and almost causing her to fall off the ledge in another dimension. Finally, America tries to punch Wanda in the face for the 4th time but fails after she catches her fist with her magic and starts burning her right hand with her chaos magic, causing her to screech in pain.
After failing to save Strange from Wanda, America finally decides to give in.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
I can't beat you, so I'll give you what you want.
Immediately, she uses her right hand to punch Wanda once more, creating another star shaped portal. Only this time, the attack doesn't do much damage and Wanda ends up grabbing Chavez by the neck, making her fall onto her knees.
Weakened, Strange watches as Wanda begins choking America to death as she grabs onto her neck and squeezes it as hard as possible. As she is being choked, Chavez uses the last of her dying breath to let out a smile, leaving Wanda in confusion.
As she turns around, she looks over to see her two children, Billy and Tommy sitting on the couch, having popcorn while watching a movie. It turns out America had created a portal that led Wanda right to her house, making her learn of the Monster she has become.
WANDA:
Billy? Tommy?
They immediately look towards Wanda and scream in fear after seeing her almost choke an innocent girl to death.
BILLY:
MOMMY!
TOMMY:
SHE'S A WITCH!
Without hesitation, they stop what they're doing and run off. Wanda looks over at America and confronts her.
WANDA:
What have you done?
America says nothing, she just smiles. Eventually, the two boys immediately run over to the other side of the room and end up peeping behind the couch as Wanda slowly walks up to them before kneeling in front of the couch as a show of friendliness.
BILLY:
Frightened
Please, don't hurt us.
WANDA:
I would never hurt you, I would never hurt anyone, I'm not a monster. I'm-
She looks over at America who is lying on the ground, struggling to breathe along with Strange who is also lying on the ground after she tortured him with her magic, making her realize she had always been a monster from the start.
As she takes a moment to think for herself, the two boys start running as far as they can. Chavez insists on helping Wanda but Strange declines, suggesting she sort this out herself. Immediately, she begins to go after them and as she makes her way across the house, it appears her children are nowhere to be seen.
She checks every one of the doors, all of which happen to be opened except for the one leading to the basement, which can only mean one thing. Slowly, she takes a deep breath before opening the door to the basement and is surprised to see what comes next...
EXT. NIGHTMARE REALM - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
As she walks through the door, she finds herself entering a dark and mysterious space-like void filled with stars and green Nebulas while unidentified dead bodies are seen floating into deep space. As she enters, she finds herself standing on a rectangular, rocky platform with rows of mysterious doors on each side, leading to god knows where.
As she walks across the platform, she sees a staircase made of floating rocks that leads right to the edge where a mysterious figure can be seen staring directly into the abyss with both his hands behind his back.
Slowly, she approaches the figure from behind and without even turning his back, he is able to sense her presence.
NIGHTMARE:
Beautiful, isn't it?
Finally, the mysterious figure turns around and reveals himself as a creepy, mysteious man who can be seen wearing a dark green-ish tunic that is similar to what the sorcerers wore down at Kamar-Taj, along with Dark Eyeshadow under both his eyes.
NIGHTMARE:
The stars.
Slowly, he begins walking down the steps before casually approaching Wanda as she takes a few steps back out of intimidation.
NIGHTMARE:
I gotta say, I didn't really think you'd show up. But here you are, after all that happened.
The man realizes he hasn't introduced himself yet.
NIGHTMARE:
I'm sorry, haven't introduced myself yet. But, I don't think it really matters now, does it? No.
WANDA:
Who are you? What have you done to my children?
The man stops and begins walking around her in cirlces.
NIGHTMARE:
You're still falling for it? You didn't really think that what you were seeing was real, was it? I mean, it isn't really your fault. I know what it's like, being all delusional, thinking there's still a chance, believing in this good for nothing pipe dream called "Hope". Centuries, I've spent like this, thinking I could find my way out of here, one way or another. But then I figured it out, none of this matters, it's just a joke.
WANDA:
Please, I have to know. Where are my children.
NIGHTMARE:
You're still not getting the big picture-
WANDA:
I SAID, WHERE!?
Suddenly, she fires at him with her chaos blast as Nightmare deflects her attack by immediately opening up a dark, magical portal right in front of him, teleporting the blast in the direction opposite from him.
Immediately, she tries to fly towards him as a way to bullrush him but is stopped after Nightmare spreads both his hands apart, summoning a magical green aura around his hands as 2 more portals spawn right next to Wanda, tying both her hands immediately as multiple strands of tentacles pop out and latch onto both her hands, successfully restraining her.
Finally, Nightmare lowers his arms and prepares to tell Wanda the truth after effortlessly humbling her.
NIGHTMARE:
You still don't get it? Do you? They're not real, never were. And I'm sorry you had to find out like this, honestly I'd hoped you'd figure it out yourself, but it turns out you're just as delusional as me.
Immediately, Wanda starts to break down in tears after realizing everything she believed was a lie and that she had killed all those innocent people for nothing. As she breaks down, Nightmare pulls out his magical sword from his scabbard and holds it in front of Wanda with a smile on his face, threatening her as she tilts her head back out of fear.
NIGHTMARE:
Now, I'm gonna need you to tell me where Strange is, right now. Or I'm gonna cut you up into little tiny pieces, one by one. Now, unless you want that to happen, I suggest you tell me where he is, RIGHT NOW!
STRANGE:
Off Camera
HEY!
He turns around, surprised to see Strange has found his way into the Dream Dimension.
STRANGE:
Let her go.
Immediately, Nightmare sheathes his sword into his back Scabbard and casually walks towards Strange.
NIGHTMARE:
Chuckles
Stephen! You're here? Honestly, I didn't think you'd make it, but you finally figured it out.
STRANGE:
Who are you? Please, I don't wanna have to kill you, let her go.
NIGHTMARE:
You're REALLY telling me that? After what she just did? After what she did to YOU?
STRANGE:
But you MADE her do what she did, didn't you?
NIGHTMARE:
I didn't make her do sh*t, she killed those people on her own. If anything, I SAVED you.
STRANGE:
Saved me? Hundreds of people are dead, because of-
NIGHTMARE:
And it will be hundreds more, not unless you give ME what I want.
STRANGE:
Which is? What do you want with the girl?
NIGHTMARE:
Girl? I'm not doing this because I'm after some random girl, I'm here for YOU, actually.
Strange is confused as to why he wants to see him and immediately confronts him on who he is.
STRANGE:
I'm not gonna ask again, who are you?
NIGHTMARE:
You really don't know?
For a second, he pauses.
NIGHTMARE:
I mean, of course you don't. Considering you're not from my world, but still, I think it's important, that you can get to know me.
He pauses for a moment before finally beginning his speech.
NIGHTMARE:
I was a sorcerer, worked for the masters of the mystic arts, your people. Another thing, we were also partners. One day, we were under attack by the zealots and I did what needed to be done. I found the book of Cagliostro and drew magic from the Dark Dimension, it made me stronger, made me what I am now. Sure, we defeated them, but it took all of our power and knowledge. A while later, I was caught and put in a cell before being sentenced to exile. To avoid punishment, I told all my secrets, everything I know. One day, we entered the Dark Dimension and things got so bad, you willingly left me here to die while you got out, told everyone I was killed, they believed you. The last 6 years of my life I've spent trying to leave this dimension, but you know what? After a while, I just stopped caring, as if it's all just one big joke. That's when I learned the truth, it doesn't matter, it's all a joke.
Strange lowers his head and starts to sympathize with the man a little, understanding his pain and hatred. Regardless, his suffering isn't an excuse for others to suffer as well.
STRANGE:
So, what happens now? I mean, punish me all you want, it's not gonna change what happened. And I'm sorry for what I did to you but trust me, making others pay is not the solution-
NIGHTMARE:
No, no, no. Like you said, I'm gonna let her go. But before that...
He unsheathes his magical sword from his back scabbard and swings it around before pointing it directly at Strange.
NIGHTMARE:
I'm going to kill you.
The two of them stare down at each other before Nightmare leaps right towards Strange, striking at him with his sword but gets blocked after Strange shields himself with his Tao Mandala, causing the two of them to end up clashing.
STRANGE:
You don't have to do this, killing me won't change-
NIGHTMARE:
SHUT UP!
Immediately, Nightmare kicks Strange's shield with his left foot, pushing him back before he lifts himself and conjures three tao mandala shield and flies them towards Nightmare, who deflects every one of his attacks by cutting the shields in half using his sword.
Suddenly, a sling ring portal opens right next to him as Strange uses the crimson bands of cytorrak to grab onto Nightmare's sword and then yank the bands towards him, closing the portal and successfully disarming the sword from him while accidentally cutting his left arm off for his hand was in the way.
NIGHTMARE:
Grunting
AAH!
Immediately, Nightmare stops what he's doing as he sees blood dripping from his severed arm. Strange watches as Nightmare channels all his strength energy into regrowing his left arm from dark matter. As he regrows his hand, Strange conjures a magical Axe and throws it right through Nightmare's chest, impaling him.
NIGHTMARE:
You think this is new to me?
Surprisingly, Nightmare just laughs it off as he physically pulls the axe right from his chest and flips it around before converting it into his own dagger using Dark Matter manipulation.
NIGHTMARE:
For years, I've been trying to kill myself in so many ways, weapons, magic, you name it. Every time I tried, I just came back stronger. Now I realize, you can't kill me, I'm already DEAD.
Immediately, he throws his dagger towards Strange, who deflects it using his own sword before he flies it back into his arm. After that, Nightmare leaps up towards Strange with his magic sword as Strange does the same by conjuring up a sword of his own as a way to deflect the attack.
Suddenly, Strange's sword ends up slicing into two as Nightmare's sword is able to cut right through it. Immediately, he starts swinging at Strange with his sword as Strange tries his best to deflect every attack with his tao mandalas, only for the sword to cut right through them.
Finally, Nightmare catches Strange and kicks him right in the abdomen, sending him tumbling back. Luckily, he is able to stick the landing thanks to his cloak. Immediately, Strange tries restraining Nightmare by summoning the bands of cytorrak and lassoing him, which he catches mid-air with his bare hands and yanks them, pulling Strange right towards him.
As a result of this, Strange loses his grip and gets sent flying towards Nightmare who grabs him by the forehead as the camera dolly zooms in on his face.
EXT. VARIOUS DIMENSIONS - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Immediately, Strange realizes what's about to happen and braces for impact as he starts hallucinating and begins falling through multiple planes of reality at immeasurable levels of speed while going through an adrenaline rush, making him scream as loud as he can.
CUT TO:
EXT. WENDIGO FOREST - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
He ends up falling for at least a minute before we Strange lying unconscious on the ground before waking up and finding himself in the middle of a dark, mysterious forest. As he gets up, he finds himself somehow wearing his old tunic while sporting a medium beard. Slowly, he stands up and starts walking through the forest, looking for a way out.
As he walks through the forest, he finds himself standing across from a small, icy lake in the middle of the forest. On the other side of the lake, can be seen an old, holiday cabin. Suddenly, a young boy can be seen walking out of the cabin in his winter clothes, strapping on his ice skating shoes.
Immediately, Strange is able to figure out just who it is coming from the cabin, it's him when he was just 9 years old. It turns out he is reliving a flashback from when he was a kid on holiday with his family. Slowly, tears of joy begin rolling from his face as he remembers his old life.
YOUNG STEPHEN:
MOM, I'M GOING.
MR'S STRANGE

REMEMBER TO TAKE DONNA WITH YOU!
YOUNG STEPHEN:
OKAY!
Slowly, he steps off the porch and walks towards the ice before he slides onto it and begins ice skating. Suddenly, his younger sister, Donna walks out of the cabin and puts on her ice skating shoes. Immediately, Strange realizes what is about to happen and considers warning them, only to remember it's all an illusion and that it doesn't matter.
DONNA:
Stephen, wait!
She runs towards the ice and starts skating with him as well, as they skate, she goes up to him and taps hims on the back.
DONNA:
Tag!
Immediately, she turns around and starts skating in the other direction as Strange does the same while going after her. As she is skating, she jumps onto the ice, leaving a small crack. Strange sees what she's doing and immediately warns her to stop.
YOUNG STEPHEN:
Donna, wait.
Unfortunately, she is way too reluctant to stop now and keeps going. As she skates, she decides to jump onto the ice once more, only this time she falls right into the water instead of just leaving a crack. Immediately, Stephen stops what he's doing and grabs her by the hand before she falls any further.
Stephen tries his best to pull her out of the water, but it's no use as the current is just too strong. He considers leaving to get Mom and Dad but decides not to for if he lets go she will end up falling further through the current.
YOUNG STEPHEN:
MOM! DAD! HELP!
Traumatized, Strange watches in horror as he is forced to relive his darkest memory of his sister drowning right in front of him as a result of his incompetence. Immediately, both his mom and dad arrive as fast as they can and help him out as Dad grabs her hand and pulls her out as she lies on the ice, unconscious.
Stephen tries to save her using CPR, but unfortunately, it's no use as she has already been under the water for too long.
YOUNG STEPHEN:
Crying
No. NO!
Stephen's father lifts him up and pulls him away, in an attempt to spare him from the traumatic memories. As he watches from afar, Strange's eyes begin to get a little watery after reliving the most traumatizing moment of his life. A few seconds later, he walks over to a tree and sits right under it, staring right at the skies.
Suddenly, he starts chuckling. Slowly, his chuckling turns into laughter as he begins to laugh as hysterically as possible, as if he just didn't care anymore. He is laughing, laughing until he finally loses his breath, officially losing his sanity.
CUT TO:
EXT. NIGHTMARE REALM - SAME TIME
We cut back to the Nightmare Realm, where once again Nightmare can be seen staring into the abyss while making the same pose while Wanda can be seen restrained to the tentacles after losing all her motivation to fight back.
NIGHTMARE:
Don't worry, he'll be back.
Wanda calls at him from behind.
WANDA:
Are you going to kill me?
NIGHTMARE:
Kill you?
He turns around and walks towards her slowly.
NIGHTMARE:
No. No, I would never do that. I mean, after what you just did, you kinda have it coming, but no, I wouldn't. I've never killed anyone, never will. Not yet.
He pauses for a moment before preparing to begin his speech.
NIGHTMARE:
You know what I find interesting? I've seen you. I've seen you kill hundreds of people, down at Kamar-Taj without any hesitation. But you know what? I've never seen you try and kill Strange, not even once. So, I gotta know, you're willing to kill anyone who gets in your way, yet you refuse to kill the one person that's stopping you? You wanna know why? I think it's because you just don't have it in you. And I'm sorry that I can't give you your children, I can't just bring them to life, that's not how my powers work, but you, you can create life with your own mind. That's why I chose you, because I know who you are and what you're capable of, I made you into the one thing you were always meant to be, a destroyer. That's part of the question, isn't it? Why be yourself, when you can become so much more.
He turns around, and prepare to tell another speech.
NIGHTMARE:
You know, I was at your house this morning. I mean, not physically but you get the picture, right? Anyways, when I was there I found a-
Suddenly, Nightmare looks over at his left arm and realises his left hand is completely disintegrating into thin air as a red aura glows from around it, hinting to us that it's Wanda doing all this.
NIGHTMARE:
Worried
No
Immediately, he uses the best of his dark energy manipulation ability to resist Wanda's reality warping and keep his arm intact. After successfully retrieving his arm, he turns his head and gives Wanda the death stare after he sees her left hand growing bright red, knowing it was her. Without any hesitation, he turns around and punches Wanda in the face as hard as he can, making her bleed a little from her nose.
NIGHTMARE:
Don't be afraid, kid. I'm not gonna kill you. HE is.
Wanda looks at him in confusion before realizing what he just meant.
CUT TO:
EXT. AFTERLIFE - HALLUCINATION - SAME TIME
Immediately, we cut to an empty, white void where Strange is seen lying on the shallow ground before waking up. Slowly, he opens his eyes and lifts himself up, it turns out he is in the afterlife. In the distance, he sees an unidentified figure staring into the abyss with their back turned, presumably a variant of himself.
VARIANT STRANGE:
You enjoying it?
He walks closer and figures out who it is. It's him, but from an alternate universe as he is wearing a similar outfit but has longer hair. Not just any variant, it's the Strange who ended up betraying Nightmare.
STRANGE:
Why'd you do it?
VARIANT STRANGE:
Do what?
STRANGE:
What you did. 6 years ago?
VARIANT STRANGE:
I didn't have a choice.
He turns around
VARIANT STRANGE:
He was arrogant, foolish. He kept thinking he could control everything, when I always had to be the one that saves him. I did what I did, because I knew what would happen if I didn't, I saw a threat and I removed it. It's not like I wanted to, but I haven't done what I did, he would've killed us all.
Strange looks around and stops to admire the view.
STRANGE:
It's so...
VARIANT STRANGE:
Peaceful?
STRANGE:
Yeah.
STRANGE:
Asking how he died
So, how did you...
UNKNOWN VOICE:
Stephen...
Strange immediately turns around and sees another variant of himself. The variant turns out to be Defender Strange, who is walking right towards him with a hole shaped through his chest. He turns to the right and sees none other than 838 Stephen Strange who is walking towards him, alive and well.
STRANGE:
How are they...
VARIANT STRANGE:
It's alright. It's not your fault, OK? Now, listen, It's been nice seeing you and all, but I'm gonna need you to wake up, RIGHT NOW.
Suddenly, Strange's variant violently presses his thumb against Strange's forehead as the camera dolly zooms onto his face.
CUT TO:
EXT. DESERT - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Finally, the hallucination ends with Strange waking up in the middle of some random desert, this time he is wearing his regular tunic, the only difference is his cloak isn't there. Immediately, he gets up and looks around, only to see that the entire desert is scattered with the bodies of deceased sorcerers lying on the ground.
As he turns around, he sees a floating door-shaped portal just a few metres from where he is standing. As he is staring at the portal, one of the deceased sorcerers tries grabbing him by the leg and he immediately runs towards the portal before it closes.
As he is running, the corpses behind him start to lift themselves up and slowly walk towards him. Among the corpses can be seen a zombie version of Black Bolt, with his eyes completely blank and his jaw dangling onto his maxilla.
Immediately, Strange runs off as fast as he can before he finally jumps into the portal and presses onto the button, successfully closing it from behind.
INT. SANCTUM HALLWAY - ILLUSION - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
After finally escaping the zombies, Strange takes a deep breath as he somehow finds himself in the sanctum hallway before suddenly feeling a pat on his shoulder.
Without even turning around to see who it is, Strange thrusts his head backwards and stuns Nightmare, who he knew was behind him. After that, he turns around and starts punching him as hard as he can in revenge for all the traumatic memories.
Strange punches him for maybe 2-3 times before pushing him back. Nightmare starts pinching onto his nose after Strange had somehow fractured it with his punches. With Nightmare weakened, Strange runs up to him and tries to attack but fails as Nightmare kicks him in the gut and starts beating him violently before picking him up and throwing him into the glass window on the side.
INT. SANCTUM HALL - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Immediately, Strange ends up getting thrown out the window and gets sent tumbling along the stairs before dangling off the railing.
Meanwhile, Nightmare finally makes his way out of the hallway and sees Strange standing right in the middle of the sanctum hall, challenging him.
STRANGE:
I'm ready when you are.
NIGHTMARE:
Fine.
Without further ado, he summons his sword using one of his portals before leaping right towards Strange, striking at him as he deflects the attack using a sword of his own. Eventually, the two of them begin trading blows with their swords before they end up clashing them together, creating a stalemate.
Ultimately, Nightmare manages to break the stalemate by kicking Strange right in the abdomen and sends him flying vertically through the glass window.
EXT. BLUE SKY - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Immediately, Strange ends up falling through the clear blue sky while Nightmare watches from above. He ends up falling for about 20 seconds before flying right through the Sanctum window and tumbling down the stairs.
INT. SANCTUM STAIRCASE - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
After falling at least 20km from the sky, Strange is left heavily weakened as he lies on the ground. Surprisingly, he is able to lift himself up a few seconds later and immediately he starts clinging to the wall for he still hasn't fully healed.
Out of nowhere, not even a few seconds later, Strange turns around and sees Nightmare charging towards him from behind with an axe. He swipes at Strange with his axe but misses as Strange spins around and dodges the attack, chipping the wall instead.
Immediately, Strange tries to get away by climbing up the stairs but is forced to keep limping as he is still weakened. Instead of going after him, Nightmare just stands and watches as Strange limps up the staircase.
INT. TOP FLOOR - SANCTUM SANCTORUM - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
As Strange finally makes it to the top floor, he looks to his left and sees Nightmare casually swinging at him with his axe. Immediately, Strange tries his best to avoid the attacks by dodging the axt 3-4 times before he throws the axe directly at Strange, who ducks down immediately, making it hit the glass cabinet behind him, shattering it.
While he is distracted, Nightmare runs up towards Strange and grabs him by the collar before throwing him all the way across the room, over the railing. After that, he retrieves his axe and walks all the way towards Strange who is lying face flat on the ground before striking at him with the axe, only to miss as Strange immediately rolls over, dodging it.
Immediately, Strange stands up and bull-rushes Nightmare, who tries to retaliate but fails anyway as Strange bull-rushes him into the wall and starts punching him as hard as he can. He punches him for about 3-4 times before Nightmare finally retaliates by headbutting Strange, turning himself around and pinning Strange to the wall instead.
For at least 2-3 times, Nightmare starts bashing Strange against the wall before grabbing him by the collar and throwing him onto another glass cabinet, knocking him down as he bounces off the glass and lies onto the floor, weakened. With Strange finally neutralized, Nightmare walks up to the armory and lifts each sword off the wall, examining them.
Finally, he is able to find the right weapon and recites the whole description as he prepares to execute Strange, who is seen lying on the floor, groaning in pain.
NIGHTMARE:
30-Inch Blade, fully carbonized steel. It's as good as any.
Without hesitation, he points the blade right at Strange before thrusting it towards his face. Luckily, Strange is able to save himself at the last second by catching the blade with his bare hands and trying his best to drive it away.
Unfortunately, it appears Strange just isn't strong enough as the blade pierces right through his palm, drawing blood.
STRANGE:
In agony
Ah!
Strange clenches his teeth as he uses the best of his physical strength to drive the sword away. Unfortunately, all he is able to do is move the blade a few inches below before it pierces right through his kidney, impaling him.
Defeated, Strange loses grip of both his hands as the sword goes deep in his chest before Nightmare eventually pulls it out. After successfully "Killing" Strange, Nightmare returns the sword back to the armory before paying his respects as he bleeds out of his kidney
NIGHTMARE:
Off Camera
I respect you, you know. I was kinda hoping things didn't have to be this way... In fact, this is probably the most fun I've had in YEARS, you did great, truly...
The camera zooms out on Strange's almost lifeless body as he bleeds out from both the hands and chest.
NIGHTMARE:
Off Camera
But you knew this day was coming, I'm sorry.
After bowing to his fallen enemy, he peacefully walks away without another word. As he is walking, he steps onto a tile that suddenly begins rotating, followed by the entire room.
INT. MIRROR DIMENSION - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Immediately, he turns around and sees Strange magically disintegrate into large shards of glass as everything around him starts turning into cracked reflections.
Immediately, Nightmare is able to figure out the illusions and the trap he had fallen into as it turns out he wasn't actually fighting Strange but instead fighting a weaker clone. He tries looking for a way to escape, but it's no use since the walls have begun closing in.
As he tries to move forward, he is shocked to see both his legs are being frozen in solid ice that suddenly rises from the ground. Suddenly, he looks over at both his arms and sees magical orange rings wrapped around them before they are forcibly stretched far apart as he is restrained by multiple strands of ice that magically sprout from within the walls.
As he looks into the mirror, he is surprised to see none other than Strange who slowly walks out of the liquid like a badass while actually wearing his cloak.
Realizing he has been defeated, Nightmare has no other option but to laugh it off and accept his fate.
NIGHTMARE:
Chuckles
Alright, you win.
Strange says nothing, he just turns around.
NIGHTMARE:
So, you're gonna kill me now? Or what?
Strange still says nothing and decides to play it off with the silent treatment.
NIGHTMARE:
Oh, I just remembered. You CAN'T kill me, I have no soul, remember?
STRANGE:
I know.
Strange finally turns around and casually give his one liner.
STRANGE:
That's why I brought these guys.
Suddenly, 4-5 demonic spirits, same as the ones from Mount Wundagore come flying right out of the liquid mirrors and fly straight into Nightmare's soul, torturing him as the camera zooms into his eyeball.
DISSOLVE TO:
INT. NIGHTMARE'S MIND - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Slowly, we dissolve to an empty, dark background where the souls can be seen flying around, in search of past memories of Nightmare committing heinous acts, only to find nothing as the camera zooms out of his eyeball.
INT. MIRROR DIMENSION - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Finally, we go back to the mirror dimension where Nightmare is shocked to see why he still isn't dead, realizing he must be innocent. After figuring it out, he laughs to himself knowing that he will be spared for his actions.
NIGHTMARE:
It's clean. They can't hurt me.
Without a single word, Strange turns around and walks away but stops after Nightmare interrupts him.
NIGHTMARE:
So, what? It's over now? You're just gonna leave me here, waiting for me to drop dead since you won't kill me yourself?
Strange keeps his back turned and says nothing.
NIGHTMARE:
Hey, you know what? Screw you, man! Sure, why not? Just walk away and leave me here to die, just like you left me in this dimension. Screw you, indeed.
Nightmare tries his best to get a reaction out of Strange, only to fail as Strange starts walking away.
NIGHTMARE:
HEY!
Strange pauses once again as Nightmare forces him to listen to his rant.
NIGHTMARE:
Look at me.
Frustrated, Strange turns around and approaches the man as he prepares to hear what he has to say.
NIGHTMARE:
Whatever you do, no matter how hard you try. I'm just gonna keep coming back, and whatever you think I did, I'll just do it again.
Frustrated, Strange turns around and starts walking towards the mirror as he is no longer interested in his speech.
NIGHTMARE:
It's not over, never was. Besides, I'm just getting STARTED.
Suddenly, Nightmare is able to forcefully break out of the ice using his sheer physical strength. Immediately, he runs up towards Strange, who turns around to see what's going on, only to get punched right in the face and he sends him flying out of the mirror dimension as the glass cracks behind him.
INT. VARIOUS DIMENSIONS - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
As a result of this, Strange gets sent flying as Nightmare goes berserk, punching him across various planes of reality, each one far crazier than the one entered before while going on an unhinged rant.
NIGHTMARE:
YOU THINK THIS IS NEW TO ME?! I HAVE WAITED FOR THIS MY WHOLE LIFE! 6 YEARS I SPENT PREPARING, HOPING ONE DAY YOU'D FINALLY SHOW UP. YOU THINK I'M JUST GONNA STOP NOW JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT ME TO? BECAUSE YOU THINK IT'S WRONG? WE'LL, GOOD LUCK TRYING!
CUT TO:
EXT. NIGHTMARE REALM - IMMEDIATELY AFTER
Finally, the falling stops as a portal tears through the Nightmare realm with Strange falling right out of it and landing right along the rocky platform, nearly bleeding to death after taking a huge beating.
Immediately after, a portal opens up right in front of where he's lying and out comes Nightmare, who slowly walks towards Strange before grabbing him by the collar and punching him into the ground, hitting him as hard as he can until his face is splattered with blood.
After nearly beating Strange to death with his bare hands, Nightmare backs away as he realizes what he's done as he starts rubbing his eyes with a deep sense of regret after realizing he is a monster.
NIGHTMARE:
I promised. I promised, that I wasn't going to kill you, not until I'd made you suffer. But now? Now, I see... What I've done, is already a fate worse than death itself.
Nightmare turns around and sees Wanda, giving him the death stare while still restrained by his tentacles, giving him an idea.
NIGHTMARE:
You know what?
He turns back towards Strange.
NIGHTMARE:
I've changed my mind.
He lifts Strange by the collar, barely conscious, and shoves him towards Wanda, sending him staggering as he falls onto his knees, with Nightmare's sword lying right in front of him.
NIGHTMARE:
I'm going to kill you, not anymore. Not unless you be a good boy, and do as I tell you.
Strange looks over and is shocked at what he is seeing, he cannot believe that Nightmare is forcing him to kill Wanda.
NIGHTMARE:
Do it. Do it, or I kill you both.
With nowhere left to go, Strange willingly lifts the sword into his hands and lifts himself up as he prepares to smite Wanda on the spot against his will.
NIGHTMARE:
I know how much you want this, even with those little voices in your head telling you it's wrong.
Strange looks directly at Wanda, who looks back at him with sadness and despair, slightly nodding her head in approval, begging him to put her out of her misery.
WANDA:
Desperate
Do it, please.
Strange gently nods his head, he raises the sword and aims it Wanda. He tries his best to kill her but he just can't bring himself to do it, because deep down he knows he's not a killer, in spite of all the outrageous things Wanda has done. All of a sudden, Strange lowers the sword and drops it onto the ground, refusing to kill her.
STRANGE:
No.
In reaction, Nightmare stabs Strange from behind using an ancient dagger, gutting him right in the kidney without any hesitation. Immediately, he retracts the dagger and backs away as Strange collapses onto the ground, lying on his back as he bleeds out from his mouth and liver while Wanda is forced to watch in horror as Strange slowly dies right in front of her as Nightmare squats down, confronting him.
NIGHTMARE:
Before you pass on, I just want you to know. I never wanted this, not one bit. But you've never really given me a choice...
As he lays there dying, the last thing Strange is a hallucination of his deceased sister standing in front of him while Nightmare's voice fades out in the background.
All of a sudden, the camera zooms out of Strange's eyeball as it seems everything we just saw happening turns out to be an imagination as Strange is seen still holding the sword, preparing to kill Wanda.
Quickly, Strange glances over to his side and sees Nightmare reaching for the dagger in his pocket, making him realize Nightmare will kill him eventually, regardless if he listens to him or not. Immediately, Strange raises the sword and pretends he is about to kill Wanda before suddenly turning around and driving the sword right through Nightmare's chest.
Immediately, Nightmare staggers backwards as he feels the blade go deep in his chest while blue strands of energy start flowing from his eyes and mouth and into the sword. It turns out the sword has siphoned his soul, absorbing it.
Meanwhile, the portals spawned next to Wanda close by themselves as the tentacles restraining her lose contact as they fall to the ground before Wanda herself falls onto her knees as well.
Eventually, Nightmare retracts the sword out of his body, dropping it onto the ground and is shocked to his surprise once he sees blood dripping right from his chest, realizing he is no longer immortal.
Even after realizing he is about to die, Nightmare doesn't seem to be bothered as he just lets out a chuckle and accepts his fate before he ultimately falls onto the ground, lying flat on his back as blood flows from both his chest and mouth
As he lies on the rocky platform, dying, he sees both Strange and Wanda towering over him in unity, realizing he has finally brought the two of them together. In reaction, he starts laughing to himself deep in his throat while choking on his own blood.
It is unclear as to why he is laughing so suddenly, all we know is that he is starting to creep out both Strange and Wanda as his laughter starts to grow more and more hysterical. Finally, Strange decides to leave him to rot as he walks away. Wanda walks closer to him and tries to blast him with her magic but is stopped by Strange.
STRANGE:
Don't.
Wanda looks over at him in confusion.
STRANGE:
Don't.
Without another word, Strange walks off as Wanda follows along, leaving him to bleed out. As he lays there, he doesn't fear in the slightest that he is about to die, all we know is that he is laughing, laughing until he is finally out of breath as he cracks a little smile on his face, happily accepting his fate.
CUT TO:
INT/EXT. DARKHOLD CASTLE - MOMENTS LATER
Finally, we cut to the Darkhold Castle where Strange can be seen walking out of a star shaped portal. As he enters the castle, he looks around and sees that all of reality is colliding on itself as a large crack in reality can be seen through the sky, as small parts of the castle and the mountains around them slowly begin disintegrating into small chunks that float towards the sky.
STRANGE:
Under his breath
Oh, god.
On the side, Stephen looks over and sees Wanda kneeling on the Altar, crying like a little b*tch after realizing she had killed all those people for nothing. Finally, she looks over at Strange, who is able to immediately figure out what she is about to do, it turns out she is going to sacrifice herself in order to prevent the incursion and he warns her against it
STRANGE:
Under his breath
No.
Wanda assures him on why she has to do it.
WANDA:
I opened the darkhold, I have to be the one to close it.
Strange nods his head and gets a little teary as he accepts that in order to stop the multiverse from collapsing, Wanda must sacrifice herself along with the Darkhold. In spite of all the killing and murdering Wanda had committed, Strange is still grateful to have her as his ally and the two of them share a look of goodbye before Strange walks into the portal.
STRANGE:
I'm grateful.
As soon as Strange leaves the castle, Wanda looks over at the rotting corpse of Defender Strange lying on the corner and immediately starts to tear up after remembering her past actions, all the people she killed out of pure narcissism.
Without hesitation, Wanda uses the best of her telekinetic strength to lift up the castle pillars that are holding it up, causing it to crumble onto itself. She lifts the castle as high as she possibly can until her magic can no longer take her any further.
Before she lets go, she takes a moment to reflect on her past actions and sheds a tear of joy, realizing her death will allow the multiverse to live on, as well as knowing her sacrifice will not go in vain. As she finally lets go, she lets out a little smile, happily accepting her fate.
As a result of this, the tower ends up entirely collapsing onto itself, destroying everything comprised of it as large chunks of rubble slowly rolls down the mountain while a powerful shock-wave blast spreads across the sky, confirming the Darkhold's destruction as the crack in the sky begins to erode as we slowly fade to black.
FADE TO BLACK.
EXT. KAMAR TAJ - 2 WEEKS LATER - DAY
We cut to two weeks later, where we get a landscape shot of Kamar-Taj which is currently under maintenance as the roof is being fixed by multiple workers. In the courtyard, dozens of sorcerers can be seen practicing their sling ring portals. Among those sorcerers is none other than Chavez herself, who is seen wearing a sling after Wanda had burnt her hand.
Meanwhile, Strange is seen walking along the pathway, observing the sorcerers before looking at Chavez and laughing to himself after seeing her fail to open up a portal.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Frustrated
Ugh, how is this so much harder than a multiversal portal.
Strange chuckles to himself before moving forward and walking up the steps.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Off Camera
Wait.
As he is walking, he suddenly turns around and sees Chavez walking towards him and hears what she has to say.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Hi.
STRANGE:
Hey.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Made some sparks
STRANGE:
That's great. Your parents would be very proud, I hope you can find them someday.
Without another word, Strange opens up a portal to the New York Sanctum from behind and walks right towards it.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Off Camera
Wait-
As he enters the portal, he is interrupted once more by Chavez who forces him to turn around.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Thank you.
STRANGE:
No, thank YOU. You showed me what it's like, without you I never would've gotten out, so thank you.
Finally, Strange turns around and walks further into the portal and makes his way towards the staircase.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Hey, uh...
For the third time, Strange is interrupted by Chavez. Frustrated and annoyed, he turns around and hears what she has to say once again.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
I'm sorry about...
STRANGE:
It's OK, kid. It wasn't your fault, It's not mine, either. We all make mistakes, it's what makes us human. It took me a long time, but I accept it, what it makes me.
AMERICA CHAVEZ:
Are you OK?
STRANGE:
Lying
Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine.
Deep down, Strange feels like he is about to tear up, but decides to be a man and hide his true feelings. Without another word, the portal in front of Strange shrinks and closes, ending their conversation.
CUT TO:
EXT. NEW YORK CITY - SUNSET - IMMEDIATELY
We cut to a landscape shot of New York City, where it is currently sunset.
CUT TO:
INT. SANCTUM LOUNGE - SAME TIME
Immediately, we cut to the inside of the Sanctum Sanctorum where we see Strange walking up the staircase which leads directly towards the Sanctum lounge. Suddenly, we jump cut to Strange manually unscrewing his broken watch and fixing it by gently removing the broken frame and replacing it with a new one, successfully repairing it as he lets out a little smile.
Suddenly, he puts all 10 of his watches into a small, wooden box before throwing them into the burning fire pit. After that, he makes his way to the couch and watches as they burn slowly while he sips onto his cup of hot cocoa with a smile on his face, showing us that he is ready to finally move on with his past life.
CUT TO:
EXT. CITY STREET - MOMENTS LATER
Shortly, we cut to the outside of Sanctum Sanctorum where Strange can be seen walking out of the entrance while wearing his blue tunic and using his cloak as a scarf. As he walks across the street, he sees dozens of people suddenly running from the corner as strong gusts of wind begin to send everything flying across the air.
Immediately, he rushes towards the other side of the street and turns to the left, only to see nothing there. Concerned, Strange swings his cloak around and wears it on his back before he once again tuts his fingers into a diamond and spreads them apart, revealing the illusion as it appears a giant sword shaped ship is seen hovering in the sky.
STRANGE:
Under his breath
What the f***?
