My Own Private Idaho script
Synopsis: In this loose adaptation of Shakespeare's "Henry IV," Mike Waters (River Phoenix) is a gay hustler afflicted with narcolepsy. Scott Favor (Keanu Reeves) is the rebellious son of a mayor. Together, the two travel from Portland, Oregon to Idaho and finally to the coast of Italy in a quest to find Mike's estranged mother. Along the way they turn tricks for money and drugs, eventually attracting the attention of a wealthy benefactor and sexual deviant.

Mike thinks about the loneliness of the road.

This is nowhere. I'll bet that

nobody is ever going to drive down

this road. I'll be stuck here

Mike looks at the road stressfully. The road looks back. He looks

at the road his eyes growing heavy. The road looks back...

Mikes yawns.

I don't know when it was I

recognized I had this disease.

Mike looks like a backwoods character who fits into the terrain.

Mike makes strange movements, like he is having a sort of

epileptic fit, then yawns like he is very tired, again.

Sometimes I'll be in one place,

and I'll close my eyes...
