Simhada Mari (Kannada: ಸಿಂಹದ ಮರಿ English : Lionet) is a 1997 Indian Kannada action drama film directed by Om Prakash Rao and produced by Ramu. The film features Shivarajkumar, Telugu actor Krishnam Raju and debutant Simran in the lead roles. The flash back portion which is considered to be the heart of this movie plot was reported to be an inspiration for the 2002 Telugu movie Aadi. The film's score and soundtrack was scored by Hamsalekha and the cinematography was by T. Janardhan. It's one of the best movies in the career of Shivarajkumar. It's also considered as one of the best action movies in the Kannada film industry with high praise towards its climax. The movie has gained an immense cult following among Shivarajkumar fans.
