Michael Joseph Pennington (born 5 September 1970), better known as Johnny Vegas, is an English comedian and actor. He is known for his portly figure, angry comedic rants, surreal humour, northern accent, and husky voice. His television roles have included Al in the ITV Digital and PG Tips adverts, drug dealer Moz in the BBC dark comedy Ideal, Geoff Maltby in the ITV sitcom Benidorm, and Eric Agnew in the BBC sitcom Still Open All Hours.
