Synopsis: Stanley wakes up one morning to a group of Bumble Bee in his bathroom, he is stung by a bee, from then on his life changes forever. Professionally unsuccessful and personally a failure he finds himself with a potentially life changing illness. His love life is a disaster, but a motor accident he witnesses changes him forever. The illness he has serves its purpose, Stanley is forced to change his way, it seems the bumble Bees had a magic spell on him. Bumble Bee is a Romantic Comedy.

Stanley – Hello who is it.

Anna – Stanley it’s me your mother, your father is not feeling well, you must visit this evening.

Stanley – I can’t, I have so much work to do.

Elly – Who is it.

Stanley – It’s my mum.

Anna – That’s what you said last time, look your father is really unwell, he will feel better if you visit him just once.

Stanley – Dad hates me.

Anna – No darling he worries about you.

Stanley – He should leave the worrying to me.

Anna – He has progressive cancer; the doctor doesn’t know how long he has to live.

Stanley – You just have to put me through this guilt trip again, don’t you.

Anna – What if something happens to him, and I didn’t call you to visit.

Stanley – Ok, I will be there this evening.

Anna – Don’t be late, I love you, give Lola my love.

Stanley – Ok mum, see you.

Elly – What’s the matter babe you don’t look well, shall I bring a glass of wine.

Stanley – Yeah, why not, I have to visit my dad, he’s not well.

Elly – What’s wrong with that.

Stanley – Nothing, except he can’t stand me, and I can’t stand him either.

Elly – Here have a cigarette, it will help you breathe better.

Scene change Stanley is at his father’s doorstep, he knocks on the door. Stanley’s sister opens the door, Stanley’s brother-in-Law is also there with their two kids.

Stella – I’m glad you made it on time, we’ve been waiting for you, look at you, I haven’t seen you for so long, you look tired, let me take your coat.

Stanley – How are my nephew and niece.

Stella – They are fine, busy with their schoolwork.

Anna – Stanley be good to your father.

Stanley – I’ll do my best.

George – Is that Stanley, has he dared to show his face around here.

Anna – Yes dear, don’t stress yourself.

George – I’m not stressed, I’m surprised, well where is he.

Stanley – I’m right here dad.

George – Look at you, nice of you to drop by.

Stella – Dinner is ready.

The family gather around the table the atmosphere is awkward, seated at the table is Anna, Stella George, Stella’s husband Carl, and their two children Hanna and Alan.

Carl – Stella has been telling me you work in sales, how is it going.

Stanley – Not too well, I got axed.

George – Again, can’t you keep a Job.

Anna – Eat your food dear.

Carl – Well you can always find work in sales these days.

Stanley – I’m sick of sales, I’m thinking of making my money on horse racing.

George – My son the gambler, be a man find a wife, raise kids, hold down a job.

Stella – Dad please.

Stanley – Well I have a girlfriend, I picked her up on the street last week.

Anna – Where is your manners.

George – What manners he has none.

Stanley feels a sharp pain on his right arm, he looks, and he sees his finger has turned a darker blue, and his arm is also turning into a lighter shade of blue.
