INT. ROLLER RINK - DAY

BADER (9), SLIM Z (14), SHAIKHA (1), ANNIE (22), and CALEB (23) are at the roller rink. They're all excited, wearing their roller skates.

BADER:
(looking around) Wow, this place is amazing! I hope I run into my best friends, Caleb Johnston and Everleigh Labrant.

Suddenly, Bader spots CALEB JOHNSTON (11), EVERLEIGH (10), and their classmates HENRY BOWERS (TYDUS TALBOTT) and SCOTT JOHNSON (RYDER ALLEN).

BADER:
(excitedly) Caleb! Everleigh! Over here!

CALEB JOHNSTON:
(grinning) Hey, Bader! Great to see you!

EVERLEIGH:
(excited) Hi, Bader! Fancy meeting you here!

BADER:
(showing off) Guess what? I passed on the Cheese Touch to Jeremy Pindle!

CALEB JOHNSTON:
(amused) No way! That's awesome, Bader!

HENRY BOWERS:
(approaching TASHI) Hey, Tashi. Want to skate with me?

TASHI:
(nervous) Um, no thanks!

Tashi runs away in fright, leaving Henry confused.

SLIM Z:
(smiling mischievously) Hey, Bader. You should try skating with Everleigh!

BADER:
(surprised) Wait, really? Okay, I'll give it a try!

As Bader starts skating towards Everleigh, a group of violent teenagers enter the roller rink.

ANNIE:
(panicking) Oh no, this isn't good!

CALEB REYNOLDS:
(confused) What's happening?

ANNIE:
(through loudspeaker) Bader, get off the rink! It's not safe!

Caleb Reynolds carries Bader off the rink as Bader looks embarrassed.

BADER:
(embarrassed) Oh man, I should've listened to Annie and Caleb.

TASHI:
(mocking) Look at Bader, always making a fool of himself!

Bader's face turns red with anger, and he tries to tackle Tashi. But he slips and falls face-first into Taylor Pringle's birthday cake.

kids start punching and kicking Bader as the theme song plays in the style of "Everybody Hates Chris" ending song. The lyrics are "Bader Zamalano," and it fades to black.

INT. SCHOOL CLASSROOM - DAY

Caleb Johnston and Bader sit next to each other, talking about their upcoming birthdays.

CALEB JOHNSTON:
(excited) Guess what I'm getting for my birthday? A Steam Deck!

BADER:
(amazed) You already have a Nintendo Switch, and now you're getting a Steam Deck? That's so cool!

CALEB JOHNSTON:
(curious) What are you getting for your 10th birthday, Bader?

BADER; (grinning) I'm getting GTA

CALEB JOHNSTON:
(astonished) No way! You're so lucky! That game is Rated M.

BADER:
(Voiceover) Yeah, well, first rap was fun, and now rap is gun!

Bader smirks and starts daydreaming.

INT. IMAGINATION SEQUENCE - DAY

Caleb Johnston, dressed as a thug, struggles as two police officers hold his arms.

CALEB JOHNSTON:
Let me go, you b(BLEEP)ches! You punks!

The police officers try to calm him down.

POLICE OFFICER 1: Geez, kid, stop!

Caleb Johnston continues to resist, shouting "WOOOOO WEST SIDE."

INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY

Everleigh (10) approaches Bader and gives him a warm hug, followed by a kiss on the cheek.

EVERLEIGH:
(flirting) Hi, Bader.

Caleb Johnston nudges Bader, wearing a knowing smile.

CALEB JOHNSTON:
Dude, you are so in there.

Bader chuckles to himself as he reflects in voiceover.

BADER:
(V.O.) Anytime I did anything involving a girl, Caleb thought I was "in there."

INT. CLASSROOM - FLASHBACK

A girl asks Bader for a pencil, and Bader gladly hands her one.

CALEB JOHNSTON:
(pointing) Dude, you are so in there.

INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - FLASHBACK

Everleigh approaches Bader, flirting with him.

EVERLEIGH:
Hi, Bader.

CALEB JOHNSTON:
Dude, you are so in there.

BADER:
(V.O.) Had I known what I know now about Everleigh, I'd say that was the one time he was probably right.

INT. BADER'S LIVING ROOM - DAY

Bader, a 9-year-old boy, stands amidst a pile of birthday presents. His older brother, Slim Z, 14, and little sister, Shaikha, 1, watch with excitement. Babysitters Annie Baltic, 22, and Caleb Reynolds, 23, are also present. Bader's best friends, Everleigh Labrant, 10, and Caleb Johnston, 11, join the celebration. Tashi Anderson, Bader's archenemy, lurks nearby.

BADER:
(excitedly) Wow, look at all these amazing gifts! I can't wait to play GTA V and Twisted Wizard and A few retro consoles The NES the SNES the N64 the game cube the wii and Wii U Thanks guys!

SLIM Z:
(grinning) You're gonna have a blast, little bro. Happy birthday!

ANNIE:
(surprised) Oh, the doorbell's ringing! I wonder who it could be.

Annie opens the door and finds Miss Andrea, Bader's teacher, holding a large box of food. A news reporter is accompanying her.

MISS ANDREA:
(cheerfully) Happy birthday, Bader! We thought you might have needed some extra food for the celebration.

Bader’s excitement turns to confusion as Annie notices the camera on TV The camera captures Annie’s shocked and angry expression.

ANNIE:
(looking at the camera) BAAADERRRRR!

Bader's face changes from excitement to fear as he realizes his mistake.

BADER:
(panicking) Wait, Miss Andrea, it's not what you think! We have plenty of food!

MISS ANDREA:
(confused) Oh! I'm sorry if there was any misunderstanding. Happy birthday, Bader!

NEWS REPORTER:
(smirking) This will make an interesting story for the evening news.

EVERLEIGH:
(supportive) Don't worry, Bader. We know you're awesome, even if others misunderstand.

CALEB JOHNSTON:
(grinning) Yeah, we'll make sure everyone knows the real story.
