After 20 years, five friends plan to return to Charlotte, North Carolina to re-live their college days at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Basketball Tournament weekend. (1st) One of the guys (Tyree Mitchell) His girlfriend cheats on him in college which they planned to get married after college and Jason knew she was cheating but feels it wasn’t his business to tell. Tyree finds out that Jason knew and they stop being friends and/or best friends. (2nd Jamar Towns) While in college his girlfriend Jasmine leaves school and moves away without telling him why she moved. He sees her working in a restaurant but he does not recognize her at first and later approaches her. (3rd Ricky Mason) (Fat guy in school) After being the guy in school that no girl would talk to because of his appearance and he always played jokes on people, Ricky shows up 20 years later at CIAA as a fitness model/instructor. This draws an interest from the former college homecoming queen (Lisa Benson) who was a former model which she always ragged him in college and played one final joke on him to cause him to leave school. He tries to play one final joke at CIAA. (4th Jason Brown) (Married) Jason and Tyree stopped being friends after Jason felt it wasn’t his business to tell Tyree about him(Jason) seeing his (Tyree’s) girlfriend cheating with his (Jason’s) roommate. (5th Kevin Liles) Kevin was the athlete of the group who was from an HBCU to get drafted to the NFL and retire after 13 years. Kevin uses his fame and money to get his way and simply loves girls. Sleeps with different girls even at CIAA.

Female Characters

Lisa Benson (single/ left abusive relationship)

Played final prank on Ricky in college which caused him to leave and go to another college. Twenty years later she doesn’t recognize him at CIAA. She was in an abusive relationship and she creeped away/left the guy came to CIAA. Then she falls for Ricky.

Tamira Washington (married w/ 2 kids)

She just came to CIAA to hang out with the girls.

Keisha James (Single) (Lisa’s Best friend)

She helped Lisa pull the prank on Ricky while in college. Twenty years later she ends up getting with Tyree

Jasmine Douglas (Single w/ 20y/o son) (waitress)

She was Jamar’s girlfriend in college but she leaves school when her parents find out she was pregnant. She never gets the chance to tell Jamar nor say good-bye. Twenty years later they reunite at CIAA.

(ROLE CREDITS) A BLACK COLLEGE BASKETBALL GAME IS IN PROGRESS (JANUARY 1998). THE CAMERA PANS ON JASON LOOKING FOR HIS ID IN THE CAR WHEN HE SPOT TAMIRA BESIDE THE BUILDING TALKING TO ANOTHER GUY.

CUT TO INSIDE GYM:

[SCENE 2:
INSIDE THE GYM] [ACT ONE: SATURDAY 2PM]

CHEERLEADERS AND FANS CHEERING INSIDE THE GYM. THEN CUT TO PLAYERS ON THE COURT PLAYING THE GAME IN A LAST SECOND WIN. (CHEERING)

SYNOPSIS OF SCENE:

TAKES PLACE IN THE GYM DURING THE BASKETBALL GAME. TYREE IS WAITING FOR HIS GIRLFRIEND TAMIRA TO COME BACK FROM THE RESTROOM WHICH SHE ISNT REALLY IN THE RESTROOM BUT WITH ANOTHER GUY OUTSIDE. RICKY IS HAVING A JOKE PLAYED ON HIM BY LISA (HOMECOMING QUEEN) AND KEISHA WHICH EMBARRASSES HIM TO THE POINT THAT HE WANTS TO LEAVE SCHOOL. KEVIN IS TRYING TO GET A DATE FROM A GIRL HE MET AT THE GAME. JAMAR IS ON THE PHONE WITH JASMINE TRYING FIND OUT WHY SHE’S NOT IN SCHOOL FOR THE NEW SEMESTER. WHILE RETURNING BACK TO THE GAME FROM HIS CAR, JASON SPOTS TAMIRA WITH ANOTHER GUY.

CUT TO LOCKER ROOM:

[SCENE 3:
INSIDE THE LOCKER ROOM]

LISA:

(BEING EXCITED)

GO OUT AND TELL HIM THAT I WANT

TO SEE HIM (RICKY) IN THE GIRLS LOCKER ROOM.

KESHIA:

(WORRIED LOOK)

ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS?

LISA:

ARE YOU FEELING SORRY FOR HIM NOW?

GIRL THIS IS GONNA BE THE PRANK OF THE YEAR

KESHIA:

IM NOT FEELING SORRY FOR HIM

(PAUSE)

BUT IF DOING THIS IS GOING TO HURT OTHERS

(PAUSE)

THEN I DON’T WANT TO BE A PART OF IT

MAYBE YOU’RE RIGHT

(PAUSE)

WE SHOULDN’T DO THIS TO HIM

BUT HE IS ALWAYS PULLING MY HAIR AND CRACKING JOKES

SO ITS TIME HE REALLY GETS HIS PAY BACK

KEISHA:

OK, YOU’VE CONVINCED ME,

LET’S MAKE HIM REGRET ALL THE JOKES AND PRANKS

HE’S PLAYED ON EVERYBODY

(FOUR OF THE GUYS SITTING IN THE BLEACHERS WATCHING THE GAME WHILE KEISHA IS TRYING TO GET RICKY’S ATTENTION SO HE WILL COME TO THE LOCKER ROOM.)

TYREE:

MAN WHAT WE GONNA DO AFTER THE GAME.

KEVIN:

THAT’S NOT EVEN ON MY MIND RIGHT NOW BRUH

PAUSE:

THIS BREEZY OVER HERE HAS MY ATTENTION RIGHT NOW

SO HOLLA AT ME AFTER THE GAME.
