Indian cinema has crossed

100 years and has emerged proud.

In this moment of glory, Tamil cinema

has got ready for the next generation.

Black and white, Eastman color,

color cinema and 3D cinema.

Our superstar Rajinikanth has crossed the

above mentioned four decades of cinema.

Now, he is moving onto next dimension

termed motion capture technology.

This is the varied form of film

making compared to the usual ones.

By capturing the new

form of film techniques and..

...by rejuvenating

the real film actors"

...it projects them

into cinematic world.

This is a very great

mode of film making.

Our Kochadaiiyaan is the first movie in India

which is being made by this technology.

Starting from facial expressions

and body languages..

...till the small movement

of the fingertips..

...our superstar prepared himself to

all trials of the expertise technicians.

This utmost dedication of his is

an example towards art and common man.

Superstar's facial structure

has gone through facial scanning.

Facial expressions were captured

through special cinematic camera.

His own style such

as his body language..

...his styles like walking style, dressing style

and expressions that attracts the fans..

...all of them were captured by 40

cameras kept in the film making arena.

Superstar's each and every

movement was inputted as dots.

The body language of actors

was also processed in by computers.

Those dots were

transformed into lines.

That's how first stage

of animation was created.

The dialogues, fight scenes and songs

in this film, like that nothing was left out.

Every aspect in this

movie was shot like this.

Without any heavy dresses,

makeup and magnificent settings..

...that are present

in historical movies..

...all the characters were

considered as imagination.

Out that imagination,

the actors should act.

This is supposed to be the challenging

and tougher aspect for them.

The computers record in the

characters as dots and lines.

In the next stage, they were

converted into full human form.

These figures were given

costumes and jewels.

They were made to walk

in magnificent sets.

Thus the role played by technological

experts in this movie is a notable one.

You are going to visualize

a new world in theatres..

...which was created by those experts.

After the making, our unit

worked very hard for many days.

It is just to showcase this

new world for you all.

May I just say on the hundredth

year of Indian cinema..

...that when the history of

Indian cinema will be written..

...it will be before Kochadaiiyaan

and after Kochadaiiyaan.

At the end of hundred

years of Indian cinema,

For the journey of Superstar

Rajinikanth's cine life,

For the people who

loves Indian cinema,

For all the worldwide

fans of Superstar..

...this film will be

considered as dedication.

Once upon a time, many centuries ago,

in the southern region of ancient India...

there flourished two powerful kingdoms...

Kottaipattinam and Kalingapuri.

In their power-hungry struggle

to attain supremacy...

these two kingdoms faced many battlefields.

Destroying dynasties with war

and martyring warriors in war fields...

their historic enmity continued.

In this epic saga

of courage and betrayal...

an incident unfolded...

it became an incident that stained

the pages of history and froze in time.

After that fateful incident...

Rana, listen to me

Brother Rana, stop

Father

"When the rain pour from the sky".

"The sky won't hear it".

"Heart that serves

our motherland will always".

"Never survive for itself".

"Never survive for itself".

"O my dutiful warrior..."

"O my dutiful warrior..."

"it's you only".

"Don't lose your heart just by failures".

"Don't become proudy of your victories".

"The trees due to lightning".

"Won't stop growing".

"Don't feel sad seeing the mountains".

"Don't feel sad seeing the mountains".

"Victory in spite of.0 its criticism".

"Won't lose its value".

"O breeze... 0 breeze... You don't sleep at all".

"O my dutiful warrior, dutiful warrior...

You don't just relax".

"The life, the life will never ends".

"It's the promise that you won't fail".

Falling into the cascading falls

of Kottaipattinam...

crossing many days and nations...

the place where the young boy Rana landed,

was Kalingapuri.

Becoming one among the orphan lads

of that nation...

Rana attached himself

to the war training barracks of Kalingapuri

Despite his young age,

warrior Rana faced many a battlefield...

and came to be, a warrior par excellence.

The sword in Rana's hands

and days in nature's hands spun in unison.

Acknowledging his acts of valour

as our general...

the royal council

has unanimously decided...

that only Rana is worthy

of being the kingdom's commander-in-chief.

I do not require your recommendation

From a very early age,

I have known Rana's talent very well.

I agree whole-heartedly that

Rana should be made commander-in-chief.

Summon Rana!

"Wherever leads the sky..."

"Wherever leads the sky..."

"To there, we fly"

"Wherever leads the sky..."

"To there, we fly"

"You have won over life's strife;

You have won this earth's worth"

"There are no limits for you, 0 leader"

"The songs of the wind have no end"

"The knell of victory shall never descend"

"With your sword, forge the sun"

"My friend, make our nation, golden"

"if the skies stop us..."
