Axel says. “We’ve got all the stuff for it. We are so ready.” “This year it’s going to be different. I’m not just ready to build. I’m ready to win,” Olivia said. Then another building competition member walks by. “Nice pig, losers,” he says to them. They all make faces. “Oh, great, there’s Lukas and the Ocelots,” Axel says, pointing to a group of 4 people at the check in booth in jackets with ocelots on them and wearing jeans. “The rivalry continues.” “Man, they’ve got matching leather jackets and everything,” Olivia says. Axel and Olivia made worried faces. Jesse makes an I-don’t-care looking face. “So cool..,” Axel says. All but Lukas turn around. “Well, well, well, if it isn’t the Order of the Losers,” says Aiden, looking at Axel, Oliva, and Jesse, just coming in. “Great, the fail squad’s here,” says Maya. “Lukas, get a load of these losers,” says Gill. Lukas turns around. Lets go, guys, he says to the rest of the Ocelots. Aiden smirks at them. “Name, please?” asks the announcer at the booth. “Axel, and how do you do?” says Axel. “No, your team name,” says the announcer. “Team name?” Axel asks. “We are so not ready for this.” They all make worried faces. The Ocelots stare at them. “So much for losing anonymously,” says Olivia. “We’re the Nether Maniacs,” Jesse says. “You thought of that name just now?” asks Axel. “Yes, now deal with it,” Jesse says. “But we’ve never even been to the nether,” Olivia says. “Who the Nether cares?” says Jesse. “Okay Nether Maniacs,” says the announcer. “You guys are in booth 5.” Axel goes through the fence gate first. He gets stuck. When he gets out, the Ocelots laugh, then go to their booth. Olivia, then Reuben, then Jesse follow Axel inside. Jesse spots a large chest in front of him. He goes to it and opens it. Scattering through it, “Hmmm... nope,” he says. After observing booth 2, he noticed a large group of people. “Everyone in town is here!” he exclaims. After observing booth 3 he notices another large group. “Man, it’s crowded in here,” he said. He observes the other booths. He goes to booth 4, next to booth 5, where the Ocelots are. “I don’t like the look of this...” he said. He sees Axel and Olivia waving to him. He goes over to booth 5. Axel stands on his toes, looking at Lukas, shuffling through the large chest in their booth. “Is that a freakin’ beacon,” he says Lukas pulls out a Beacon. “They have a freakin’ beacon?! Freakin’ Beacon!?!?” Gill and Maya look in the chest next. They pull out stained glass. “That’s stained glass,” Olivia points out. “They aren’t just building a beacon. They’re building a rainbow beacon!” They put worried faces on looking at their booth. “We’re gonna lose,” Olivia said. “Our design is way cooler,” says Jesse. “Yeah maybe you’re right..,” Olivia says as They continue to stare at them. “We should probably stop staring at them.” Hahaha. Look it’s the order of the losers. Again. Maya chuckles. “Good one, Gill,” she said. “We’re just looking,” says Olivia. Axel makes a worried face. Jesse and Olivia make mad faces. “There’ll be plenty of time for you all to look at it after it wins and gets shown at Endercon,” Aiden said. “You’re being unpleasant,” Axel says. “Maybe not all of you,“ Aiden says. “Endercon doesn’t allow any outside food or drink.” Reuben squeals and jumps. “I’m talking about your pig!” he says loudly, smiling. “Shut up,” Jesse said. “What?” Aiden said. “Can’t you hear? Jesse said shut up!” Olivia says. “Stop wasting your time, Aiden. We’ve got work to do,” says Lukas. The Ocelots look at him. The Nether Maniacs smile. “You’re lucky i’m busy,” says Aiden. Just then, a girl carrying a stone pickaxe, wearing tall boots, shorts, a hat, and a jersey on top of a short-sleeved shirt walks by. “Hey, Jesse. Guys,” she says. “Hey, Petra,” Jesse says. “How’s the build going?” Petra asks. “Only time will tell,” Axel answers. “But -- we’re optimistic.” Lukas walks up to Petra. “Petra,” he says. “I forgot to thank you for that nether star.” “Hey Lukas. Not a problem,” Petra says. “You helped these tools?” Axel asks. “For the right price, i’ll help anyone,” Petra says. “If you need anything, you know where to find me.” “None of us know where to find you,” points out Olivia. “Exactly,” Petra said, walking away. “No hard feelings, guys. If you’re cool with Petra, you’re cool with us,” Lukas says. “So why don’t we just forget about all this, and, y’know… make this about how cool our builds are.” The Ocelots made faces. Mat the best team win,” Jesse said. “Be careful what you wish for,” Lukas says back. “We’ll see about that,” Jesse said. The announcer started talking.“ Ladies and gentlemen,” she begins. “Welcome to the Endercon Building Competition.” Everyone cheered. “The winners of this year’s competition will have their build featured at Endercon -- the winners will also meet, in person, Gabriel the Warrior,” she says. The Nether Maniacs move closer. Axel, Olivia, and Jesse cheer with them this time. Suddenly, in the distance, they hear a loud yell. “Ocelots!” the Ocelots yell doing some kind of handshake. The Nether Maniacs made faces. “Ocelots! Ocelots!” “Whoa. Handshake,” Olivia says. We don’t have a handshake.” “We’ll just make one up,” said Jesse, and Axel and Olivia smile. “We’ll call it the uhhh... The ‘Builder Bump’.” They put their hands in the middle, but don’t exactly do a handshake. “Aaaand just like that, i’m nervous again,” said Olivia. “Don’t talk like that! We can do this! Just stick to the plan and everything will be fine,” says Jesse. “This year, the Nether Maniacs can’t lose!” Everyone including Reuben puts their hands in the middle for real this time. “Let’s do it!” says Axel. The announcer speaks. “Building...Starts...Now! Jesse pets Reuben. The Nether Maniacs head to the middle of the booth.
