Synopsis: Our Girl is a British television drama, which starred Lacey Turner as Molly Dawes (in its first series) a young adult from a lower class background who joins the British Army after deciding her life is going nowhere. A one-off special was broadcast on 24 March 2013 on BBC One, which saw Dawes make the decision to join the army, despite the protests of her protective family.

ZEKI (CONT'D)

(In Somali)

Kasiib marada.

Translation:
Take off her hood

As the hood is removed the Somali man pulls back the trigger and aims at Georgie..

GEORGIE:

(confused and disorientated, begs)

Please I'm a medical person I can help you... please...

Please... No Please... Please! Please! No! Please..

Abu nods for the man to put the hood back on. As he does, blackout. Abu shoots into the air...

Then the sound of an AK47 firing and Georgie's frightening screams, then the laughs of the

gunmen.

Georgie is hooded, shaking with panic..

James see's Mansfield through the open front passenger door of the ambulance. Mansfield has

gun shot wounds to his upper chest and shoulder. They move him out of the Ambulance.

JAMES:

One casualty, Mansfield has been shot. Get him out. Get

him out. You’re going to be alright mate. Your going to

be alright. You got it. Fingers!

Fingers hurries over with his medical kit and takes over. James hurries to the other vehicle.

FINGERS:

You alright there mate. What have you done?

JAMES (CONT'D)

(into radio)

Cat A casualty, one individual unaccounted for. Hot

location. Insecure. Stabalising casualty returning to zero.

Fingers nine niner now.

James is trying his best to pack his wounds.

MANSFIELD:

(in shock)

Am I bleeding out, boss?

JAMES:

You're a bleeding nuisance. Keep still.

MANSFIELD:

Don't let me die out here, boss.

JAMES:

Don't worry about that, we'll get you back to Mansfield to

die.

MANSFIELD:

03:30 It's Derby, you knobhead

JAMES:

Dangles on me, we need to get him back in the truck.

We're evacuating!

(shouting back to Osman)

Medevac from base now. You'll be right soldier

Mansfield is groaning with the pain, eyes starting to roll into his head.

IN:
10:03:45 INT/EXT. SMALL CELL. AL SHABAAB SAFEHOUSE. DAY

A hooded Georgie is alone and terrified in a small cell. She is hanging by her arms with the hood

over her head.

The door opens and a somewhat frantic Zeki comes in. He is masked but we can tell it's him. He

pulls off Georgie's hood before turning and shouting something in Somali to a gunman in the

safehouse.

ZEKI (CONT'D)

(almost pulling Georgie up and out of the

cell)

Tony Grounds

Tony Grounds is a British writer of television scripts. He was born in 1957 in East London. Described by The Independent (11 October 2002) as "the best TV writer of his generation", Grounds has written for all four of Britain's main channels. He started writing for the theatre, winning the Verity Bargate Award for Made in Spain, which was subsequently performed in London and published by Methuen. It was then filmed for ITV and transmitted in their Screenplay slot. There then followed stints on EastEnders and The Bill before he penned episodes of 'Chancer', which starred Clive Owen. more…
