What is phpMyVisists?phpMyVisites is an open-source and free application for the management of statistics of websites. For example, you will know which pages are the most visited, the less visited (perhaps you will need to improve your links, update the content, etc...). For example, if your visitors spend more time on the website (more than few minutes in average), it means the website has an interesting content; a short visit time can mean the homepage is not attractive, its content is poor instead of for a website regularly visited, the visitors enjoy most of the new things added to it (why not increase the number of the updates?).It will be possible for you to go farther with the analysis of the follow-up of the visitor: knowing the main entry pages, if those are less convincing (if they have a high exit rate), you need to improve their appearance, have more available links, to make the browsing easier on those specific pages. If some paths are less taken, try to understand why and improve your architecture in that sense. The same goes for the origin (your website is only visited by English speakers?) and also, the aspects of the equipment are very important in creation and growth of your website. For example, why maintain a webpage of an English version if it is not visited? Why optimize a website for Netscape 4.5 if less than 0.1% of the visitors of the previous month used that browser? Your site, which is optimized in 1024*768, received a lot of visitors with a 800*600 resolution? Create an optimized version for that resolution! Those are very important points to the success and growth of your website.Do not neglect the referencing of your website: for this, look for the keywords with which your visitors arrived at your website, search engines consulted, etc... If few visitors reached your website through search engines, try to correct how it is referenced (did you put place-holders to describe and keywords on all your page?). You can significantly improve your referencing that way!
