The all-in-one package to display a counter on your website! Its totally up to you how you use it. It has two modes of operation, the first being text based where the count is returned simply as a number and the second being where graphics are displayed showing the hitcount. We don't force you to hard-coded graphics or even one particular type of graphic, all you do is upload the 10 pictures (0->9.extension) of any file type and state what they are, the script does the rest - you don't have to worry.As far as security is concerned and bogus hit counts, if somebody calls the script from a location which you have not setup to log then don't worry because your not going to get any increased hits - you choose what to log and each page has its own individual hit count for overall ease of use.As far as administration goes, we didn't want you plunging into the database manually so we created a little page for you to add new pages which get logged, you can even customise the output using templates. IDS (Image Display System) is a CGI written in Perl that interactively generates a photo album website. All you need to provide are the images and (optionally) text descriptions. As you add new pictures, they will appear automatically. Each image will be displayed with information such as image type, file size, image size, and date uploaded. If EXIF information is embedded in the image (shutter speed, aperture, focal length, etc.), it will be displayed. News Marketer offers an automated way to post images and text to newsgroups on a regular basis. By creating custom categories of messages and pictures you have complete control over the content posted to each group, allowing you to accurately target your intended audience. Using the built in schedular you can set the exact times that posts are made to each group - perhaps you would like to post to one group twice every day at 10am and 2pm, but only post to another group once every saturday afternoon. No problem - News Marketer fully automates this process allowing you to leave your system running for months without attendance. Alternatively you can use the News Marketer to manually make one-off postings. News groups to target are chosen via the easy to use html interface. You can either browse through all the groups available, or use a keyword to quickly filter out groups of interest. For each group you chose you can select either a plain text message, pictures, or both. Images for inclusion in posts are uploaded using a simple html interface which allows you to view image thumbnails at a glance, and sort pictures into categories. Built-in proxy support means your posts can be sent anonymously. Just create a list of public proxy servers, and the News Marketer will try each proxy until it finds a working one. The help section of the program contains urls for lists of hundreds of publically availably proxies, meaning you'll never be short of proxies to use. The News Marketer is easy to install and comes with full instructions (if you have any problems, we'll be happy to install it for you). Full logging quickly lets you find any errors (which are explained in the help docs), and also lets you verify that your system is running as expected.
